CHAPTER THREE
Jane’s POV
It was one thing to purposely search him out but quite another to have him suddenly there so close. Now that he was right in front of her she was finding it difficult to think of the things she had so desperately wanted to tell him.
He must have sensed her hesitance because before she knew it he had started to turn away as if to leave.
“Wait!”
Jane yelled while reaching out towards him.
Fear, panic, loss all those things hit hard the second he started to move away. All those feeling choked off all normal functioning other than to yell out.
Thankfully it seemed to work because before she knew it he was crouching in the window gently holding on to her wrists sporting that infectious smirk.
He was so close she could feel his body heat assaulting her. Oh how she had missed being so close that she could physically feel his presence. The fact that he was holding on to her hands was enough to send shivers all throughout her entire body. Picturing all the things he could do with those powerful hands, the incredible strength in those arms, those soft lips.
Tarzan’s POV
The thought of fleeing once she spotted him vanished the second she called out for him.
In a flash he was in the window grabbing on to the hands outstretched towards him.
He half expected her to pull away immediately but instead she just stared at him with a look he could swear was desire.
Jane seemed to be deep in thought looking to there joined hands, then his arms, and mouth before settling on his eyes. All the while nibbling on her lower lip.
He could sense the change in her and without a doubt whether she would admit to it or not he could tell she wanted him. In that moment a plan sprung forward. He would make sure she couldn’t turn him away again.
With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he stepped down from the window, closing the distance between the two of them until there was barely an inch separating there bodies.
Once he released her hands, he began to glide his finger tips up her arms slowly.
Jane’s POV
How had she ever managed without him? Even now the urge to be with him forever was unbelievably strong. The love that shone in his eyes every time they were near each other was untainted, and never-ending.
As soon as he stepped down from the window Jane stopped breathing, afraid the moment would turn out to be some fevered dream that would suddenly come to an end leaving her so frustrated that no amount of exorcizing, or cold showers could quench it.
Not sure what she should do, Jane just looked into his eyes while he lowered his mouth.
Gently almost hesitantly he pressed his mouth to hers.
All she could think was,
“How is it possible that his lips could be so soft?”
Tarzan’s POV
He couldn’t take it any longer, and lowered his mouth to hers. The second he made contact it was almost as if electricity coursed through his entire body.
Hearing a soft moan from Jane was a good sign that she wouldn’t be upset with him. He began sucking on her lower lip reveling in just how amazing it felt to finally be able to taste her after so long.
No longer able to resist he let out a low growl before pushing past her lips and stroking her tongue. It didn’t take long before Jane began responding by sucking on his tongue. When he finally pulled back enough to breathe it took only a moment before she was nibbling on his lips.
Jane’s POV
They were pressed up against each other so tight that Jane’s cell phone suddenly going off startled the both of them successfully halting there actions. She automatically pulled back enough to check who it was and instantly regretted it. It was Nikki’s number. It was obvious that Tarzan wanted to just ignore the intrusion, and as much as Jane hated to admit it she was thinking the same thing. However the look she gave him must have shown something else because he was backing away towards the window.
Tarzan’s POV
Seeing the hesitation in her once again, Tarzan feared that she was about to turn him down and before she had the chance, he was giving her that knowing look while backing away. She wouldn’t have the chance to say no again, that he was certain. It would be too late for her objections when he finally took her away from all of this.
