“Tina! TINA!”
Bette’s voice was raised in panic as she frantically searched the house. She eventually found Tina crouched at the end of their bed, her head in her knees, freely sobbing.
“Talk to me baby” Bette whispered as she placed her hand on Tina’s knee, which was promptly rejected. “Please T”
Tina looked up momentarily “Didn’t think you were coming home tonight”
“Of course I came home baby”
“You sure you wanna call me that? You sure you shouldn’t be saving that for Candace?”
“Don’t be stupid T”
“You think I’m being stupid? Well you made me look stupid!” Tina shouted, glaring at Bette.
“What do you mean?” By now Bette was crouched on the floor next to Tina
“I took you back. You betrayed me and I took you back when so many people wouldn’t. And now look what’s happened. You’ve made me look like a fool” Tina broke down in tears again.
“T, nothing happened” The only response was silence. “Baby, I asked her to leave” Bette’s voice began to waver.
“And what about your eyes? What did they say?” Tina looked at the expression on Bette’s face “I heard it all you know”
Bette just stared at Tina, her eyes begging for forgiveness “Then you’ll have heard me say that I’m back with you”
Tina just shook her head. She couldn’t believe it was happening. It was like a bad dream. She’d thought it was all behind them and now here the past was, right back in their lives again.
She spoke almost in a whisper “well maybe you’re not”
“T please” Bette was in tears now “Don’t do this. I didn’t know she was there. Nothing happened. If you’d stayed, you’d know. I told her I loved you and that nothing was gonna make me repeat that stupid mistake again”
“Bette, I wish I could believe you. But you did it once. How am I supposed to believe that you won’t do it again? That you don’t still have those feelings for her?”
“You have to trust me T”
“I don’t know if I can” Tina got up and looked at Bette on the floor.
“Please baby, I’m begging you” Bette looked up, vulnerable and open, close to grabbing Tina’s leg to prevent her from leaving.
“I need time, Bette” And with that, Tina walked out.

Shane and Dana sat next to each other, neither wanting to break the gaze.
“What?” Shane breathed.
“I said it’s you” Dana repeated softly.
Shane got up from her chair, looking away.
“Shit Shane, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said anything” Dana garbled hurriedly “forget I said it” she looked down in embarrassment.
Shane laughed softly as she moved behind Dana, gently moving her long hair from the back of her neck. My god, she thought to herself, Dana Fairbanks is interested in me. I’d never even thought about it. Surely she’d want someone…well…someone not like me!But jeez, now that I think about it…
Shane softly began to stroke Dana’s neck, bending down to kiss it whilst Dana held her breath.
“Don’t forget to breathe, Fairbanks, don’t want you passing out on me” she said, bending down to look up into Dana’s eyes.
“Tell me what you want”
Dana finally exhaled. Shane’s asking me what I want? And here I am too scared to say anything!
“I don’t know. I was hoping you’d take the lead, you know, how you usually do…”
“That’s with random girls, Dane. You’re different. I can’t treat you like them, I just…” she trailed off.
“Shut the fuck up and kiss me Shane” Dana leant in, silently praising herself for her sudden burst of bravado, and kissed Shane firmly on the lips.
Shane moved her hands to run them through Dana’s hair, gently stroking her as she parted her lips. She softly took Dana’s bottom lip in her mouth and sucked on it. Dana moaned quietly before opening her mouth to Shane’s kiss. Her arms pulled Shane closer in order to deepen it.
“Jeez, Fairbanks!” Shane exclaimed as she pulled away briefly, “that’s a side to you I’ve never seen!”
Dana grinned “There’s a lot of sides to me you’ve never seen”
Shane grinned in return, got up and straddled Dana’s thighs. Dana began to run her palms over the tight denim of Shane’s jeans as Shane moved her mouth to Dana’s ear. “Well I hope I’m gonna get to see them tonight” she whispered before sucking on her earlobe.
Dana ran her hands gently up and down Shane’s back, whilst kissing her neck. She gripped Shane’s hips tightly and spoke in a throaty whisper.
“Take me home, baby”
