The Resolution
Calleigh got up from her microscope and went to her laptop. Her eyes were caught when she saw Horatio in the doorway. He smiled. She smiled back.
“Are you ready?” he asked her. “It’s time.”
Calleigh nodded. She was nervous, but he would be there too. They had gotten a story straight that Eric had sabotaged the evidence she actually did, and Eric Delko was facing the IAB’s charges today. Horatio and Calleigh were to tell their story and Eric was to answer questions.
No doubt he would accuse Calleigh of what she’d really done, but with a highly acclaimed Lieutenant on her side, Eric’s “allegations” wouldn’t stick.
She would be free of him. Then she would get an AVO. If he ever came near her again, he would end his ass in jail.
Good. He deserved it.
What’s more is her friendship with Horatio had strengthened. They would often hang out in their free time. Horatio even hinted at a romance but Calleigh didn’t want to just as yet. She loved him and wanted him, but she wasn’t ready.
That was okay. Horatio would wait for her.
