Change of plans

A/N: Hey all, I'm really sorry that I haven't updated in forever, but I only have three reviews for this anyway so I'm guessing that people aren't all that interested. Thanks to the three that liked the story. You're the reason that I'm writing some more. I'm in college full time now and I just don't seem to have any free time so I'll do my best to get a chapter up now and again.

Disclaimer: I don't own them because if I did then they wouldn't have gotten put on the air opposite of CSI where FOX loves to kill their shows...

Warning: Things might get nasty in this chapter because I'm in that mood and most people know what to expect from me in my writing. I'm thinking at least torture. Maybe rape.

Harrison looked around and frowned. It's so empty...Lindsey was so full of life and this place is just dusty.

He walked over to one of the windows and ran his finger along the sill to collect some of the dust before turning back to the door. As he began to walk into the hall he thought he heard a noise. Turning back, he spoke softly. "Hello?" After a long moment of silence he shook his head. Mrs. Taylor said to conquer my ghosts and I haven't even made it past the front room... He walked back in and closed the door to the apartment firmly.

"Okay, Harrison...where did you spend most of your time?" He smirked to himself. "Bedroom..."

He made himself wait for the bedroom and explored the other rooms first. Within an hour he had laughed, smiled, and even forced himself not to cry at least once. Mrs. Taylor had been right that this was a good idea. He wanted to go to her now and tell her thank you, but he knew he had to face the bedroom.

The door was already open a crack and he just pushed it open. He felt his emotional walls crumbling as he stood in the room that housed all of the tender emotions of his relationship with Lindsey. The demons came out full force as he saw Lindsey's face as he slid into her warmth and heard her whispered words of love.

As the door slammed closed, he jumped and turned around. Three men smirked at him and he backed up. He was about to yell for help, but couldn't stand the thought of Mrs. Taylor coming in to be roughed up by these guys. "What do you want? There's nothing here to steal."

One of the men shrugged. "Depends on what you're looking for...we were informed that it wouldn't be a good idea to pick you up tonight. So we decided to pick you up here."

Harrison tried to process what the men were saying and didn't know what else to do so he made a run for the door, planning on knocking the guys off balance until he could get out. It wasn't the best idea and he was subdued quickly. When a handkerchief was placed over his nose and mouth he struggled, but was soon forced to breathe in the pungent scent of the chloroform. He whimpered once as he saw his chance to escape taken away from him and then everything went black.

Jack looked up from the street below. He was happy that his tip had paid off and now he just had to get himself where he wanted to be in time for the show. He looked over to the alley and wondered how long it would take for someone to find the driver's body. He had to even things up for Davis' death and he thought that the driver would make a nice exchange. He wasn't close with the men inside so nobody would even care that he was missing. Jack pulled on the leather gloves he had stolen from the corpse and got behind the wheel of the car.

He watched the men get into the car and shove Harrison in with them. "Where to, gentlemen?"

The largest man grumbled an address and they took off. Within half an hour they were in a warehouse district that looked like something out of a mob movie. Jack smiled to himself and wondered if Harrison knew he'd be dealing with more than one old friend tonight.

**********************************

Harrison opened one eye because he really wasn't sure he wanted to see what was waiting for him. He felt consciousness come back to him an hour earlier, but couldn't force himself to enter the real world, knowing that something bad had happened. Darkness was the only thing that greeted him and he opened his other eye. He sat up and tried to stretch, but found that his hands were bound. He scooted up to a standing position and began to pace. Okay, you must owe money to someone....No, I've paid everyone...with interest. Maybe it's just a mistake. I'll have to convince whoever has me to just give me a day. I have money. I can give them what they want. He moaned in frustration, not having any idea what was going on.

He looked over to the corner where he had woken up once his eyes had adjusted and realized that he had been on a bed. Why would they care if I was comfortable if they were going to kill me? Realization dawned and he remembered Tru talking to him about a serial killer. She had begged the corpses to wake up and tell her to help them, but so far none of them had. Well I will...I'll wake up and tell her...or did I? He thought back to how Tru had reacted to him leaving earlier. She was almost frantic...Damn it! I need to start learning to listen to her! Okay, so she knows that I'm in danger so she must be looking for me. Right? Maybe?

He sat back down on the bed and waited. It wasn't long before the door to the room opened, flooding the area with light. "Well hello sleepyhead. Come on. I'll get you a glass of milk..."

Harrison forced himself not to retch as he was yanked back in time to his childhood.

Harrison began to laugh at Danny when his friend begged him once again to scream fear for staying the night. "Danny, we're in your house. How is it that you're the one acting scared about a sleepover?" He took another drink of his soda and shook his head in wonderment.

"Harri...you have to listen to me. Dad isn't always as nice as he seems. If he gets angry..."

Harrison immediately put his hand on Danny's shoulder in comfort. "Hey man...he doesn't hit you, does he?"

"No, nothing like that. He's never hurt me physically. Actually he's been a great dad, but someone has to keep him in that mood and it's never me. He wouldn't hurt me. My friends are another matter."

"Your dad has always been cool with me. Please don't worry about it. I'll be on my best behavior, okay? I won't do anything that could get us in trouble." Harrison knew that he could be a bit troublesome, but he cared about Danny and couldn't risk getting his friend in trouble. He understood that Danny was just afraid that Harri would get a spanking, but the blonde knew that he could take it. He'd protect Danny without a second thought.

Danny eventually gave up and crawled into his sleeping bag. Harrison couldn't figure out why Danny kept whispering apologies, but he figured that the kid had a lot to deal with. But so did he. His 8-year-old bladder just couldn't handle the extra soda he had after dinner. "Danny, I'll be right back. I have to pee." He got up and quickly found himself back on the floor as Danny grabbed his arm and yanked him back down.

"Hold it."

"What? I can't! Jeez...are you afraid of the dark or something? I'll be right back, psycho..."

He pulled away and heard Danny trying to get out of his sleeping bag to chase after him. He hurried through the door and was shocked when the shuffling stopped and Danny began to sob.
I'm going to have to find out what's wrong with him... He went into the bathroom and did his business before brushing his teeth well. He could taste the soda aftertaste and knew that he wouldn't be able to sleep until it was gone. He opened the door to the bathroom and turned off the light. Immediately he frowned. Why is it so dark? I guess Mr. Morgan went to bed already.

He felt along the wall so he could make it to Danny's room, but froze when he heard a doorknob turning. One of the bedroom doors opened and Mr. Morgan was sillouetted in the light of the room. "Well hello sleepyhead...Come on. I'll get you a glass of milk."

That night had started a long chain of sleepovers and nightmares. He shuddered out of his thoughts before he could remember anymore and cried out as a much older Mr. Morgan stood over him in the dim light. "Snap out of it, boy. We have a lot of catching up to do...."

All that Harrison could do was scream.

TBC soon I promise.
