CHAPTER 27
Sara sat on the couch and read through the letters. It must have been so hard for him. He literally thought he was dying. This is so sweet. I need to see Gil. I need him to know how much I love him.
Sara picked up the phone.
“Willows.”
“Catherine, its Sara.”
“Oh, Sara. I heard about Gil.”
“That’s why I’m calling. I want to go see him but I have no means. Both the kids are sleeping.”
“Sara, I’ll be right over.”
“Thanks Catherine.”
“Don’t mention it.”

Sara walked into the hospital and resisted the urge to panic.
“I am here to see Gil Grissom, I am his wife.”
“Right this way.” The nurse pointed her to a room down the hall.
“Thanks.”
Sara walked in to the room. He was sleeping. He had an IV in his hand. The doctor came in as she stood there holding his hand.
“Are you family?”
“Yes, his wife. How is he Doc?”
“Fine. He is severely dehydrated and he has a few battle scars but I think he will be fine.”
“When can he get out?”
“He should be rehydrated by tomorrow. He can come home but he will need a few days off of work.”
“I’ll arrange that, thanks.”
“No problem.”
Sara leaned in to kiss Grissom on the forehead before she left to visit the lab.

Sara got home as quickly as she could.
“Alright. I need to go get Gil form the hospital, I shouldn’t be too long.”
“No problem.” Greg cooed. “I love watching the children.”
Sara pecked him on the cheek. “Thanks, Greg.”
“No problem, Sara.”
Sara turned to leave.
“Hey Sara.”
“What?”
“We miss you at the lab. Misty just ain’t you.”
“Thanks.”
The door closed.
