Meeting Nicola
“Calm down, doc”. Jack said to him. “He won’t do anything to anyone. As a rule of Torchwood is that any human taken against their will and subjected to sexual treatments against their will by any alien will be executed. In the chopping chamber”. Jack told the alien that The Doctor was shouting at. “Take him away”. Jack ordered his team. “I want him to have a trial, Nicola deserves some closure”. He asked Jack. “Ok, doc, now where’s this Nicola? Do I get to meet her”? Jack asked. “She asleep, oh yeah! I forgot to say”. The Doctor said. “Say what”. Jack asked.
“She’s not feeling well at the moment, she’s got morning sickness and other thing”. The Doctor said with a grin. “Morning sickness? Women only get that when they’re pregnant”. Jack said and as he said that The Doctor’s grin turned into a smile. “I’m going to be a dad”. He said with tears rolling down his cheeks. “Oh! I’m so happy for you”. He said slapping the Doctor’s back. “I’ll go see if she up to visitors”. The Doctor said walking towards their bedroom. Jack followed but waited outside the door, while the Doctor went inside.
The Doctor found the bed empty, but heard retching coming from the bathroom. He went in to find Nicola hugging the toilet bowl. “Oh, Hunny, not again”. He said walking towards her. “I… can’t keep anything down and to make me worry more some of it’s got blood in it”. She said to him. “Why didn’t you come to find me”? He asked. “Or ask The TARDIS to come to me”. He continued. “She told me you went out, I didn’t know where to so I stayed here, with my new found friend, Looie”. She said patting the toilet. “Oh That’s Sinky and that’s Bathy”. She said pointing the sink and bathtub. “I was just about to name the shower when you came in”. She said with a smile “Do you feel better now, Hun”? The Doctor asked her, Nicola nodded. “Do feel up to a visitor”? He asked as he picked her up and carried her to bed. “I don’t mind so long as they don’t mind seeing me like this”. She said as he moved the covered over her and pumped up her pillows, so she could sit up comfortably. “Comfy”? He asked her and she nodded as he went over to the door, but turned to look at her. “Ready”? He asked and she nodded at him again. “Jack, please, come in”. The Doctor said opening the door for him. Jack came in. “Nicola, Hun. This is Captain Jack Harkless, we use to travel together with Rose”. The Doctor told her. Nicola smiled at Jack. “The Doctor’s told me all about your great adventures through time”. Nicola said. “You must be Nicola, It’s very nice to meet you. The Doctor says you’re not feeling well”. Jack said shaking her hand. “Well Morning sickness’ll do that”. She said smiling. “Well, I hope you’re feelling better soon. I best be heading back. That alien you captured should be in our cells by now”. Jack said. The Doctor nodded at him. “Alien”? Nicola looked confused. “I caught him, Love”. The Doctor said, as he and Jack looked at her. “You brought him here”. She started to panic. “What if he escapes, he could’ve killed you and me, or worse; raped me again”? She started to shake. The Doctor rushed to her side in a flash. “Hun, he never escaped, he’s in Torchwood. Where they’ll be a trial”. Jack told her sitting on the other side of the bed. “He can’t hurt you anymore babes”. The Doctor said kissing her hand. “Do I have to be at this Trial”? She asked them. “Not if you don’t want to. But I think it’s best you try and get closure with this”. The Doctor said to her. “If I did do this would you'll be there with me, won't you, hun”? Nicola asked trembling with fright in her voice. “Of course, I’ll be there, I’ll be sitting right next to you and I’ll be right here afterwards too” The Doctor said wrapping his arms around her.
