Author's Notes: Charlie wonders if Don thinks of him sometimes. Based on Antony Costa “Do you ever think of me?”
He puts down the chalk and leans against the desk. He isn’t sure about this equation, it’s incomplete, various factors are missing, but that’s not really the most important thing on his mind right now.
Charlie looks around in his office. Papers, notes, books everywhere. Chaos. He smiles. This makes him think of Don somehow. He doesn’t know why, Don is simply on his mind right now. He wonders suddenly if Don ever thinks of him the way Charlie does. When Don’s at work, or busy with a new case, does Don’s mind drift away to Charlie from time to time?
Charlie reaches for his bag and starts rummaging through it. At first absent-mindedly, but then his full concentration is directed to it when he is strongly aware of the non-existence of his lunch.
“Oh no, no, no...”, he mutters while pulling out more and more stuff out of his bag.
“Looking for something?”
The sound of a sudden familiar voice makes Charlie look up. There is Don standing in front of him and he’s holding a brown little bag.
“Figured I’d better bring you your lunch before you die of starvation.”, Don laughs and hands Charlie the little bag with the precious content.
Charlie just smiles. This gesture of Don has just answered all his questions.
