When they all returned to NCIS, the team tried not to stare at Gibbs. Gibbs of course could feel their eyes as he looked up, his steely blue eyes seemed to burn a hole into them.” Do you need something DiNozzo? Do you Agent Mcgee or you agent David?” he asked.



“No of course not Boss.” Tony said going to his desk.



“ I was umm going to do something over here.” said McGee.



“I was doing nothing but standing here, but I will make myself useful.” Said Ziva.



Gibbs merely smirked to himself as the new guest at NCIS was in autopsy.



A few hours later in Abby’s lab, McGee and Tony were telling Abby of the new girl helping on the case.



“He seemed to act like a school boy, I mean he was so nice to her, not the normal authoritative Gibbs.” Said Tony.



“Well you cant  blame him Tony she is beautiful.  A lovely young doctor. “ he said in a dream like state.

Abby tilted her black locks as this made her happy maybe Gibbs could finally date again and be happy. She hated seeing him so sad and closed off.



“Aw I hope he does like her he needs a good woman in his life.” she said as she turned around, though no one was behind her Gibbs had a track record of just appearing out of no where. “Keep an eye on him.” she said as she went to the computer to run tests on the victims clothes.



In autopsy, the young doctor was talking to ducky. “I believe when I was a young lad,…” he started as he went off on a wonderful story. Dr. Cuddy was very interested, always wanting to learn new things. “That is fascinating Dr. Mallard. “ she said she was now in scrubs and began to help on the body.



“Please call me ducky everyone does. And what should I call you? I hear  you have two names. “ he said.



“Either Veronica or Raven both are my name it depends on what your comfortable with.”



“Well I think I shall call you  Raven, Ravens are very intelligent. “ he said with a smile.



“So tell me what is your specialty? “he asked.



“Well I specialize in cardiology. “  she said with a smile.



“Ah a doctor with a specialty of the heart almost romantic.” he said as Mr. Palmer walked in seeing the new doctor. Ducky explained who she was. “A pleasure to meet you Miss Cuddy. “ Palmer said as just this Gibbs walked in. “Find anything?” he asked.  Gibbs steely eyes looked at the new doctor as her green hues looked back at him, a girlish smile appeared on her lips.



“Well not much at the moment Jethro. This does seem to be an interesting case indeed. Theres no entry wound. Not any marks I can see. “ Ducky explained.



Raven reached in and grabbed the heart from the officers chest as she inspected it closely. She squinted as she saw something.. Taking a magnifying glass, she nodded as her first thoughts were correct. “Ducky I think I see something. “ as she handed it to him. A small almost invisible hole was in the center of the heart.



“Well Ill be, that is a find.. What could it mean?” ducky asked.



“Well It could be an injection point. Perhaps something was injected in him like a poison. One that made him bleed, it would explain why I saw no wound on sight. “ she explained. Ducky and Gibbs were both impressed. “Very good.. Send tissue and blood samples up to Abby. And Miss Cuddy… great work.” he said as he walked out of the room. Raven couldn’t help but blush as she looked at Ducky. “Miss Raven would you take these up to Abbys lab? “ he asked handing her the samples. As she signed for the chain of evidence. “Sure no problem.” she said as she did so, while Palmer and Ducky talked while working on  the body.
