Blurry

Tommy sat at his desk, his students finishing their tests. His mind focused on the dream that never seem to leave him be, unaware of the young woman in the yellow tank top who stood before him trying to had in her test.

“Dr. Oliver? Are you OK?” She asked softly as she placed her test down on his desk.

“Yeah Kira, that storm woke me up last night and I couldn’t go back to sleep” snapping out his daze he said quickly, hoping she would buy his excuse.

“Yeah, my folks had to bring in Lennon our dog and my little brother John wouldn’t stop crying cause of the thunder.”

“Thanks for being concerned Kira, you can go draw a little, and the others still have a good 30 minutes.” Tommy said as she smiled at him heading back to her seat digging out her notebook and pencils. Kira glanced up as she watched him set aside her test and his mind slipping back to his daze. Something continued to play in her head as she glanced down at the blank page that sat before her.

Back in his daze, Tommy tried to focus on every bit that seems to fly faster than the speed of light. A sound he did not remember flashed into his mind.

“Zedd, He’s loosing too much blood!”

That had Rita’s voice tagged to it, that raspy broken glass sound you couldn’t mistake even when he had been turn in to an old man by Mesagog he could still remember Rita Repulse’s voice with no question. If she had hated him so much why through what he could remember of the dream was she so damned concerned about him for?

‘Snap out of it Oliver people are going to start thinking your out of your mind’ he thought as he picked up Kira’s test and the few that had added with hers. Four tests down and he glanced up at the clock just in time for the bell to sound.

“Bring the rest upfront everyone, have a good weekend.” Tommy said as the kids walked by each placing there papers on his desk.

“Kira, be sure Connor stays out of trouble this time ok?” He smiled at his young red ranger who said in his own defense “Look Dr. Oliver that was all Ethan’s idea”

“Why you all ways gotta blame me? Will you just go already we can bug him later?”  Ethan said pulling the test out of his hand laying it on the pile with his as he shoved the boy out the door.

“Dude you just gave me a paper cut!” Tommy could not help but give a hard laugh at the two. As the door, shut behind them finally leaving him alone. He gave a sigh as he felt his phone vibrate reaching in noticing a text.

‘Have they left you alone yet? -A.’ it read, he only smiled at the thought of the man waiting on him at home.

‘Yes, I’m coming home now baby’ he sent back as he collected the tests and headed home, he had left something turned on at home and was about to go take care of it though he may not turn it off.
