Chapter 2
A.N.: Any characters not specifically named, assume I made up. I still haven't seen a lot of the episodes so I don't want to say he killed someone when he didn't.
"I'm surprised Hiro, you're usually a lot more evasive than this. " Sylar made a tutting noise. "And you don't look to good either. Losing weight and dark circles under your eyes. I wonder how many of your 'friends' have noticed? How many convinced themselves it was just stress or that you were trying to 'improve yourself'? I wonder if any of them actually care that you're on the edge of a burnout? Do you even remember when you last ate?"
He laughed at Hiro's surprised look.
"What? I do research. There's a reason I pass over a lot of seemingly really good powers. Like that girl in Minnesota who could climb straight up a wall? The amount of concentration required keep the power stable would put a monk to shame. Last I heard she was startled by a passing pigeon and broke her spine."
Hiro had heard about that too.
"Mr. Petrelli is paying for her medical bills." Hiro said.
"I'm not surprised. He always did seem to be the type." the disgust was plain in Sylar's voice. "oh, and don't worry about your powers, you'll get them back... eventually."
Sylar held up a syrigne and grinned.
"Just a little present from the Petrelli brothers." he mocked. "Now, what to do with you."
