Chapter One:
Nikita had found Emilie's reaction to Michael rather amusing, but made no show of it. When Operations had to leave the room, Emilie looked almost extremely skittish. A totally understanding feeling for the girl. She wanted to run and hide behind something, almost jumping a mile high when Walter came up to her. She looked at the elder man in relief, listening as 'normal' picked up for the Section team.
Michael could feel the girl's eyes on him, watching him, no matter how she looked to the others. He could just FEEL her watching him. He turned to see her eyes watching him over the screen Seymour was staring at. Her gaze flicked back to Walter when Seymour cracked a joke and Michael found himself sighing. Michael went and sat in an empty chair, near to the one Nikita vacated.
Nikita was now pacing the far side of the room, her own mind too awash with distracting thoughts to even think about the new edition to the team. How were she and Michael supposed to act now? They had ended up sleeping together, after many drinks, and had ended up pretending the other didn't exist...almost. Yeah, it was three weeks ago, but for some reason, her mind just couldn't let it go.
"I hope you find everything as you like."
Emilie jumped, spinning around, gun raised.
"Don't sneak up on me like that..." She spoke.
Michael raised a brow at her, looking wholly amused. At least, he knew that she spoke now. And that she was British. Emilie put her gun away, under the top corner of the bed, right by the trash bin. So that when she bent over to grab it, it looked like she was going to heave. The intruder would never suspect it. Especially if they were standing where Michael was now. The room was admittedly spartan, but he was under orders from Operations to take her shopping tomorrow. Even if it were for just a few things, to 'spice up' the room.
"Why should I know sneak up on you?" He asked.
"Cause people tend to have a hole in their brain if they do," She replied.
A faint look of disbelief flickered over his features before he schooled them back. Emilie turned back to unpacking, a little smile crossing her lips at being able to crack the unflappable Michael Samuelle.
