Disney?
It was a gorgeous day in Anaheim, California. Busy people were walking in the streets, to get to their destination. They do not notice four people landing on the hard ground. They were two adults and two fourteen year old children, a boy and a girl.
" Owwww! What happened to the soft landing, Bogg?" the young boy moaned as he got up and rubbed his behind.
" Hey, I can't tell the Omni how we land, remember? Only tell it where to go," the bigger man said, helping the older woman up.
The boy helped the girl to her feet.
" Where are we?" the girl asks.
" Right in the middle of Anaheim, California, 1970." Bogg told her.
" Are you sure?" the boy asks, looking around.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Take a look for ya self if ya don't believe me," Bogg moans and showed the boy the device in his hand.
" Yep, we're there all right. But, this is all wrong." the boy said.
" You're questioning the Omni now? Listen, Jeff, this thing got it's check up before we left."
" Yeah, well, then, where's Disneyland?"
" Hell, kid, I don't know even know what to look for!" Bogg moans, throwing up his hands in frustration.
The girl looks at the man dressed like a pirate. "You SHOULD be able to see a castle RIGHT there!" she pointed to a spot directly in front of them.
Bogg squinted his eyes. "All I see is an open field,"
Jeff shook his head. "No, Bogg. Morgan's right, Disneyland's suppose be there!"
" Well, something must have happened during the years to make the place not to be built." the blonde woman said.
" Olivia, I am telling the truth. There IS a Disneyland," tears were forming in Morgan's eyes and Jeff went to her to put an arm around her shoulders.
" I believe you, honey. We just gotta figure out what happened,"
"Okay, what year should we go to, now, Jeff?" Bogg sighs.
" I don't know, Bogg. I'm not too keen on this kind of history. Morgan?"
All eyes were on the small girl.
" All I know is the date. Middle East, 1928."
." We need specifics, Morgan."
" I'm sorry, Bogg. That's all I know," Morgan sighs.
" Okay, we'll take your word for it. Everyone grab hold again,"
Phineas Bogg works the Omni expertly.
ON THE MOUNTAINS, SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. 1918
it is pouring down rain in the mountains as the four travelers's landed in the mud. The young children were a few feet away from the adults and Morgan was on top of Jeffrey. Their faces were only a few inches apart. Their eyes locked and Morgan could feel Jeffrey's heavy breathing.
" Uh, Morgan?"
" Yes, Jeffrey?"
" Would you mind getting off me?"
" Oh, sorry."
The two got up. Though it was pointless, Jeff brushed the mud off his shirt. He pushed the stubborn wet strains of hair away from his eyes. He looked over to see Bogg and Olivia looking around.
" Bogg, we need to find some shelter and quick."
"You don't have to tell me about that, ya know." Bogg moans.
A thunderclap came and Morgan jumped into Jeff's arms. He felt her shiver and he tightens her grip.
"It'll be okay, Morgan. I'm right here," he whispered in her ear.
" Bogg..." Olivia said.
" Okay, let's get moving," Bogg said, a little annoyed.
For what it seemed forever, they finally found a cabin. It wasn't big, so Bogg figured it was mostly used for hunting.
They got to the cabin and Bogg motioned them to wait.
He went inside to look around. The place didn't look too bad. It had a small bed, a fireplace, and a small place that resembled a kitchen. It also looked like the place had a back door. Phineas frowned, perhaps to take a leak?
He goes to the front door and opens it. "Well, you guys are getting wet, right?"
The three step lightly into the cabin, happy to get out of the rain.
" Iʼm gonna see if I can get a fire going, Olivia why donʼt you try to find us some dry clothes." Olivia started to look around while Morgan and Jeffrey stood inside not moving.
Another thunderclap and Morgan flung her arms around Jeffrey and buried her head in his chest. Jeffrey wrapped his arms around Morgan gently. "Itʼs ok, Morgan." "Ugh, I hate storms." Morgan looked up at Jeffrey. "I know, I hate them too, but we canʼt do anything about it right now."
Morgan let go of Jeffrey, when Olivia came over with some dry clothes. "They might be a bit big on the two of you." Morgan took the huge shirt. "Well at least the rain washed all of the mud off us right?" Morgan smiled up at Olivia.
Morgan went into the small bedroom, she pulled the curtain all the way over so it was closed to change, when she came out the shirt was all the way down past her knees. Morgan handed Olivia her wet clothes and she stuck them on the mantle. Bogg finally got a fire going and he smiled at Morgan. "This fire should keep us nice and toasty."
Jeffrey came out in a shirt that was just on the knees. "Pants donʼt fit, but Bogg they should fit you." Jeffrey handed Bogg the pants. "Ok." Bogg went into the small bedroom to change. Bogg comes out in the pants and a flannel shirt.
"Hey Bogg you gonna hunts some wabbits?" Morgan looks at Bogg and canʼt help, but giggle at the remark. "Very funny Jeffrey." Morgan giggles, "You look like Elmer Fudd, doesnʼt he Jeffrey?" Jeffrey nods in agreement. "He does." Bogg raises an eyebrow, "Ok, whoʼs Elmer Fudd?" Morgan giggles even louder. Jeffrey rolls his eyes, "Bogg, give it up."
Olivia takes her dry clothes and goes into the small bedroom to change. She comes out with a Flannel shirt too. "Olivia you look like you could be Elmer Fuddʼs girlfriend. " Ha, ha ha, very funny." Olivia sits down next to Morgan; she carefully covers her up to keep her warm. Bogg hands everyone some beef jerky to eat. The wet clothes are hanging on the mantle drying.
Morgan and Olivia and together, while Bogg and Jeffrey are on the other side of the fireplace eating the beef jerky. Nobody is saying a word. Morgan yawns. "Morgan why donʼt you try to get some sleep tonight ok?" Morgan nods her head, "Ok." Bogg looks at Jeffrey, "Why donʼt you get some sleep kid." Jeffrey yawns. "Ok Bogg."
Morgan carefully lies down on the blanket and closes her eyes. Jeffrey does the same; soon both of them are asleep.
Bogg looks over at Olivia and then motions for her to sit next to him. Olivia sits next to Bogg as Bogg wraps his arm around her gently.
About an hour later everyone is fast asleep as the storm rages on outside.
" Owwww! What happened to the soft landing, Bogg?" the young boy moaned as he got up and rubbed his behind.
