Telling Debbie
Justin softly rubbed the tiny bump of a tummy that had just begun to show. Their future child, the little lump of something that had stolen both he and Brian's hearts before it was even visible, was finally beginning to move.
"Hey," he whispered to his little boy-slash-girl, "You finally awake in there?"
As if in answer, the tiny being fluttered again. Justin gasped, shaking Brian to wake him up.
"Nn? What?" he rolled over to face Justin, only to be blinded by a Sunshine-Smile. "What is it?" Brian asked, stopping himself from shielding his eyes.
"Bri, feel." Justin pushed Brian's hand against his slowly-growing tummy and held it there. "Do you feel it?"
Brian waited a moment, face betraying his concentration. Within ten seconds he lit up the bed with a smile of his own.
"It's MOVING..." he half-whispered, half-laughed." The baby's MOVING."
Together they felt their first child (with each other, of course I didn't forget Gus!!!) make its first experimental movements in the confinement of Justin's stomach. Brian fell asleep with his hand on Justin's stomach, Justin with his hand over Brian's.

"We need to tell them eventually," Justin caressed Brian's face (thanks to the baby, Justin was feeling super-lovey today...)
"I know," Brian took Justin's hand away from his face and began to massage the joint between his hand and thumb. "Just... run for cover if it looks bad, okay?"
Justin laughed and opened the door on his side of the car, prepared to make it to the diner in one piece, and come out the same way.
Inside, Deb waved them over to the opposite side of the restaurant to give them hugs of death.
""Hey, babies!! How are you? Are you okay, Sunshine? You look... shinier."
"Yeah, Deb. Actually," Justin bumped Brian in the side, and Brian cleared his throat. "We have something to tell you."
Debbie suddenly looked serious.
"What is it? Is it bad?"
"That depends," Justin said. "What do you think of this?"
He handed her the positive pregnancy test he'd been keeping since Day 1.
At first she didn't get it.
"What do you mean? Whose..." As realization dawned on her face, Justin's smile grew until he threatened to burn out the diner.
"SUNSHINE!!!" Deb launched herself at Justin, laughing and carrying on until she remembered HE was carrying a child. Careful of the baby, she gave him a tight squeeze.
"How far along?" she asked, still grasping Justin's shoulders.
"Well, I'd say about... seventeen weeks," Brian answered, "He only started showing a while ago."
At that, she whirled on Justin.
"You're SHOWING?!"
"Yeah. Wanna see? It moves already, too!" he pulled his baggy hoodie tight across his bump.
With this final invitation, Deb and Justin shuffled off into the kitchen so she could rub his tummy.
Brian rolled his eyes.
'Mothers,' he thought. Then he smiled at the memory of feeling his unborn baby quiver inside his lover.
'Cozy in there, isn't it?' he asked the baby mentally. 'Yeah, but I was there first...' he added, snickering silently.
A moment later, shouts could be heard from the kitchen as Deb felt the exact same thing.
