Trapped In A Box
~~~~~~~~~~
A whistling noise could be heard. Hogan and Kinch made their way to
the ladder. Two bombs landed causing the tunnel exits to collapse.
Kinch and Hogan looked at each other warily. They were nervous and
elated to be trapped in the tunnel together.
"It looks like we won't be able to follow through with the mission." Kinch said.
"Ye of little faith." Hogan said with a slight grin as they started digging.
Kinch and Hogan had worked side by side for the past three years.
They realized how much the other meant. They wouldn't trade their friendship
for anything.
They had been through quiet a bit together.
A war, being in a POW camp together and they helped other POW prisoners escape.
"If these tunnels could talk. Can you think of all the POW's that have been through here?" Kinch said.
"Do you ever wish that you were one of them?" Hogan asked.
"Not really. I'm actually kind of glad that I'm here. I've met some great people,
I'm doing a good deed and I'm making a small contribution to the war effort.
It's just happened under bad circumstances." Kinch told him.
"I feel the same way, Kinch." Hogan said.
