Ianto stared at the corner in dismay. After waiting for fifteen minutes, everyone grew worried when Jack didn't return or answer his communicator. Ianto almost ran down Parker again to look for Jack, but he restrained himself, impatient, as Gwen divided everyone up. As soon as they split up, Ianto ran down his section of streets. Did Jack leave again? He said he wouldn't. Ianto felt that same fear and anger tightening inside his guts. Jack swore he would never…Ianto would have never…if he thought Jack…

The more dark streets Ianto searched, the more anxious he became. Jack wouldn't have run off. Not like this. Not after telling him he came back for him.

"Jack!" Ianto bellowed. He didn't care how he looked right now. His legs quaked with exhaustion. He tried Jack's communicator again.

A faint ringing behind him made him skid to a halt. Ianto whipped around, searching frantically until he heard the faint ring again and ran towards it. There was an alley up ahead and just as Ianto was about to run in, Jack stumbled out.

"Jack!" Ianto grabbed the older man by the shoulders, worried when he could feel Jack shivering uncontrollably. He tried to pull him closer, but Jack flinched violently and stumbled back, hands up defensively. Jack almost fell until Ianto wrapped an arm around his bowed shoulders. God, even his thick coat was soaked. He looked awful, his shirt untucked and damp with sweat, his hair plastered around his face.

"Jack? What happened? Jack!" cried Ianto. He held tight as the other struggled, gasping and moaning. Ianto hugged him tighter. "You're okay," he soothed his lover, running a hand up and down his back. "You're safe now."

"Yan?" Jack sounded weak. He tried to stand on his own but his legs shook and he sagged against Ianto with each attempt. "What?" He sounded confused and when he raised his head, his eyes were glazed and unfocused.

"You're alright," Ianto whispered as he tried to take more of Jack's weight. He needed to lean back against the wall. He brushed a hand across Jack's hair, away from his eyes. "What happened? Where are you hurt?"

"Hurt?" Jack blinked, not understanding the question. Dazed, he looked behind him at the alley, then at Ianto as if seeing him for first time. "Yan?"

Ianto swallowed. Jack sounded so confused. He could feel a bump when he ran his fingers through Jack's hair and Jack hadn't stop shivering yet. Ianto tugged Jack's coat closed, trying to trap in heat. Jack looked down at himself, puzzled.

"The rift." Jack sounded stronger now. Thank God.

"We were searching for what came through," Ianto said, reminding him. "We split up to search."

Jack darkened. "Not what. WHO."

Ianto stiffened. "What do you mean who? Did you see who it was?"

Jack nodded, his face twisted. "It was…argh…" He swallowed, grimacing. It was clear he was in some sort of pain. His hand on Ianto's sleeve squeezed. He rested his forehead on Ianto's shoulder. "…ah…'urts…Yan…"

A fierce feeling of protectiveness swept over Ianto at the whisper hissing out between clenched teeth. It didn't look like Jack was aware he was saying it. Ianto wrapped both arms around Jack and buried his face to the side of Jack's hair. He could feel the trembling. He ran a hand around Jack's body checking for blood, stilling when Jack mumbled, "Don't."

Jack fought for composure, trying to stand higher but he would gasp and double over slightly in pain, his fist pressed over his abdomen. A hiss of pain became a whimper as Jack's eyes fluttered shut against Ianto's cheek.

"I'm here," Ianto whispered, grunting when Jack slumped against him without warning. His voice shaking, he contacted Owen. The doctor must have heard something in his voice because he didn't ask any questions and promised to bring the SUV closer to where they are.

Relieved help was on the way, he stumbled back, sliding to the ground with Jack. He could feel Jack's rapid breathing against his throat. Ianto settled Jack against his chest, drew up his knees around him. He clutched Jack to him and pressed a desperate kiss to Jack's temple.

"Yan…" Jack mumbled as he fell unconscious.

"I'm here," Ianto breathed as he felt the body grow slack. He found himself very scared, suddenly finding himself to be the one holding on as his lover clung to him like he never had before.

//It hurt so much. Jack could feel his attacker in him, filling him with his disgusting cum, laughing throatily in his ear. It was meant to be seductive, but all Jack could think was wishing he could twist around and rip his heart out.

"Ah, don't tell me you don't miss this," the sultry voice whispered into his ear. "What better way to rejuvenate back to life to this feeling?"

A quick thrust touched him deep inside and Jack groaned. His eyes flew open in shock. He could move now! Jack gritted his teeth and threw his shoulder back. He could feel his attacker's nose break. He rolled sluggishly, throwing the assailant off. Jack groaned. It felt like something was knotted hard in his gut. The moment he moved, sharp, burning pain tore through him from the base of his spine and lumped into a hard rock in his rectum.

Jack vomited before he could stop himself.

His attacker stood over him and tsked.

"Look at you." The man folded his arms and cocked his head, looking at him. It didn't seem to bother him that blood was running down his face from his nose. "A bit ungrateful, aren't you?"

Jack spat until his mouth was clean, glowering at him. "Why are you here?" he rasped.

The other shrugged, smiling. "Thought I would come back. See if you changed your mind." He sidestepped the weak kick, chuckling when Jack grimaced in pain. "Guess not."

"Fuck you," Jack managed. He gripped the belt loop of his trousers, pulling when he saw the other's eyes wandered down to his exposed groin. He reared back, smacking hard into the wall when the other kneeled down and grabbed him on both sides of his face.

"Maybe next time," his attacker promised. Before Jack could react, he smashed his mouth against Jack, kissing cruelly. Jack struggled, shoved him off, but too late, he could feel the same familiar paralyzing feeling.

"See you later." The man patted his cheek, his other hand fondling him. "Don't wait up." He rose to his feet and walked away, ignoring the struggling breaths behind him.//

Jack could feel hands on him and he lashed out. His eyes flew open when he heard Owen curse.

"You're okay." Ianto's beautiful voice gave him relief. It was so different from the other. Jack looked up, suddenly realizing he was across Ianto's lap, legs stretched out in the back of the car.

"I just gave you the anti-toxin," Owen told him, showing him their laptop with the chemical analysis. "Looks like you were poisoned."

Twice, Jack thought but he kept it to himself. His entire body hurt.

"Probably why you were so disoriented before," Ianto said, his eyes shining with relief. He didn't seem to care Jack was draped over him, his hand possessively around his shoulder.

If Ianto didn't care…Jack sighed, dropping his head on Ianto's shoulder. He could feel Gwen and Tosh's stunned glances up front, but he was too drained to care. Everyone knew there was something going on. Let them figure out what.

"Owen?" Jack could feel Ianto tightening his hold, pulling Jack's collars closed. "He feels cold."

"I am cold," Jack grumbled. He mumbled a sigh when he felt Owen tuck in the emergency blanket around his legs. That and Ianto's warm, slim body underneath him, Jack felt loads better. Now if that painful ache in his gut and anus would just go away…

"Jack." Ianto sounded like he hated to keep Jack awake. "You said you saw who it was."

"The poison looked familiar," Owen added in a serious voice.

"Paralyzing lip gross." That was Gwen, adding her two cents in a hard voice.

"Hart," Jack said even though it was clear everyone already figured it out.

The low growl rumbling underneath him surprised him. Jack opened his eyes wider and looked blearily at his young lover.

"I'm okay," Jack assured him. "Just have to let the poison…run its course." Goddess, he was exhausted just from talking.

"Did he…" Ianto was afraid to ask something. Jack felt ill, realizing he had stumbled out of the alley, barely straightening out his clothes. Jack knew he looked like a mess.

"He obviously kissed you," Owen said bluntly when Ianto wouldn't finish. He ignored the girls hissing him to be quiet. "Did he do anything else?"

Jack could still feel Hart inside him. It felt like he was stretched out, his large cock still inside him, hurting him. His stomach felt like it was punched from the inside. Jack gulped back the bile in his throat. He looked at Owen steadily.

"No," Jack said evenly. "He didn't." He closed his eyes and rested his head back on Ianto's shoulder, pretending he didn't hear the collective sighs. He felt Ianto's arm around him, the other brushing back his hair. Jack suppressed the shudder and pretended it gave him comfort as he tried to sleep on the ride back to the Hub.
