Drake was nervous. He sat, fidgeting nervously in the small seat. The belt secruing him into said seat possibly the only thing stopping him from pacing the thin rows between his seat and the one three feet away from him. He cupped his hands together, rubbed them, then set them on his lap and began tapping out a beat against his thighs.

There was plenty to be nervous about. His guitar was sitting in a hard case and probably thrown about carelessly. If it's neck was broke, there would be war. His clothes, while they weren't folded neatly anyway, were probably squished against or beneath other suitcases that were bigger. His poor dufflebag didn't stand a chance. All of this was happening, hopefully, under his feet. What was even more frightening: his things weren't actually down there.

Brown eyes glanced down, while Drake's feet joined his hands in the rhythmless beat. He couldn't think about that. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes and forcing himself to sit still. Really, that only lasted about six seconds. He looked towards the window, and instead of seeing the pretty blue sky, his eyes met those concerned ones of an older lady.

"Are you alright, son?"

Drake laughed, suddenly looking away and staring at the back of the seat infront of him like it might suddenly tell him the meaning of life. "Yea..."

"Is this your first time flying?" The lady asked, closing her book and resting it back inside her purse.

"Huh?" Drake said, looking back at her before shaking his head. He smiled. This woman wasn't his type...but. It was just Drake's way to charm people. "No, second time."

"Ah... New York is cold this time of the year...you should put on a sweater when we land." The lady said wisely, looking like she was speaking more to the window than at Drake himself.

"Yea..." Drake said, frowning a bit and looking off to the side when the ding sounded for seatbelts to be put back on.

"Attention flyers. Our plane will be landing in about fifteen minutes. We ask that you make sure that your seatbelt is secure and secure your trays into the upright position. We would like to thank you for flying with Delta Airlines. Have a safe and happy stay in New York."

Drake looked down, checking his seatbelt for what seemed like the millionth time since he'd sat down and let the pretty woman check it before takeoff.

Josh stared down the folding map in his hands. Okay...he was here...but he had to get there. He looked up, read a few of the signs within the airport. That didn't really help. The fact that he had a song stuck in his head didn't help either. Really, all that did was made him want to hum and sway.

He mumbled something incoherent and looked at the map again. Right. He was still lost.

"Hey, Josh!"

Josh turned his head, and suddenly there he was. It was hard to do anything but grin as Drake practically jumped ontop of him. His arms wrapped around the smaller frame of his brother, lifting him a good two feet off the ground before setting him back down.

"Drake! You really came...how'd you pa..." Josh paused, straightening his shirt. "Dad's credit card?"

"Yep." Drake said, grinning, hands shoving into the pockets of his sweater. "Hey, it's cool. They say you could use more visits with people anyway." Drake shrugged, thinking for a moment before tugging on Josh's sleeve. "Come on. I gotta check on Belle."

Josh seemed frozen for a second while Drake continued to tug. "Belle?"

"Yea... my new guitar." Drake said with a grin that Josh matched before following along behind him.

As odd as it sounded, listening to Drake search through the kitchen for food made Josh feel so much better. If he just stared at his text book and didn't look around he could pretend he was in high school again. That he was still home. That Drake slept ten feet away from him. That come Monday morning instead of grabbing his laptop he'd be grabbing his bookbag and heading to his old high school. Back to his old classes. His teachers he'd seen for the past four years.

Though, as Drake plopped down beside him, it brought the reality that Drake was leaving in two days back in full force.

"Hey, Drake...did you ever sing that song to that girl?" Josh asked. It seemed like everytime he had brought up Drake's new song his brother had interesting ways to twist it all around so that he wouldn't have to answer. Though, when Josh looked at Drake, he seemed to be really considering it.

"Girl...oh." Drake laughed, stuffing some chips in his mouth.

Josh could have strangled something. He settled for squeezing his hand around his pencil. "Well...who is she? Why didn't you tell me about her?" He at least tried to keep his tone friendly.

"There's no girl, Josh." Drake said, unscrewing the cap on a bottle of soda, sipping once his task was completed.

Josh thought about that for a moment.

"I mean, yea...there's lots of girls in L.A. The person I wrote the song for heard it already." Drake said picking through the bag of chips. Josh could only assume it was for the ones that looked the best.

Josh was right. After all...this was Drake. Only the best.

Nodding, Josh tapped his pencil onto his text book, his unlining completely forgotten. "Oh...yea...That's good." He paused, looking around for a moment. "That was a really cool song, Drake."

"You think so?" Drake said, watching Josh curiously. People thought Drake was the stupid one. Sometimes Drake wondered if that was really true.

"Yea...the lyrics were nice." Josh said, smiling, looking happy, though about what, Drake couldn't guess.

Drake licked his fingers, sucking the cheesy powder and salt left over from the chips off effectively. Cheesy goodness. Drake should buy some of these when he got back home.

"I've got a confession to make..." Drake said, suddenly sounding a lot more serious than he had a second ago. Really, this was a tough subject. Drake Parker didn't confess often. Josh should feel proud.

Josh seemed to mirror Drake's thought. His eyebrows raised ever so slightly as a few random thoughts flew around in his head. When he couldn't think of anything bad, Josh just gave a pleasantly surprised smile.

"Yea? What is it?"

"That song was about you."

---

That's good. pause That was a really cool song.

Yea lean in I've got a confession to make...

Yea? What is is?

That song was about you.

---

Drake raised a brow, arching and shifting to rest his back against the armrest, chip bag in his lap. "You."

"Me what?" Josh said, sounding like he wasn't sure if he should be laughing at a joke or not.

"You...I wrote the song for you." Drake said, as if it was obvious, crunching loudly on a few chips.

Josh looked ... shocked.

That was all there was too it and Drake could only really smile as he watched the realization wash slowly over Josh's face. It was almost magical. Then, when Josh finally grinned, Drake barely had time to smile back before Josh had grabbed him and hugged him tightly, effectively crushing most of the chips between them. Josh would whine about the crumbs later. Drake would whine about his shirt.

"Thanks, Drake..but..." Josh started, moving back just
