Milk and Cookies
“You never heard from Lois?” Chloe’s voice rose in a panic as she wrung her hands.
“No! Chloe, I didn’t even have my phone! I was here and I gave Kara my cell. I thought Lois was with you.”
“Clark, this is serious! You don’t get it, the last time I saw her, she asked me about 33.1.” His expression was grave.
“I had the worst feeling that was what you were gonna say.”
“You know how she gets, Clark!”
“Runs in the family,” he accused. She smacked him in the arm.
“We’ve got to get to LuthorCorp! I know she’s there!” Chloe was pacing back and forth, raking her fingers through her tousled hair.
“You aren’t coming with me, Chloe, it’s too dangerous!”
“Try and stop me!” she rallied.
“Two words, Chloe: Heat vision. You try to follow me, and I lock you in the closet and weld the door shut.”
“You need me!”
“I need you to stay safe.”
The phone on the kitchen wall interrupted them, and Chloe beat his grab for it, answering it on the first ring.
“Hello?” she cried breathlessly.
“It’s me,” Lois informed her. “I’m home.”
“I WAS SO FUCKING WORRIED!” Chloe blasted her. Clark emphatically drilled his fingertip into his ear. She indignantly swatted him again.
“Sorry I missed our date,” she answered sheepishly. “You’re mad, aren’t you?”
“You’re so dead,” she warned her.
“I love you, Chloe. Gotta go. By-eeeeee.” Click.
“That’s it. I’ve had it. The only way she isn’t gonna kill me by scaring me to death is if I kill her first for scaring me to death. You’re helping me bury the body,” she nagged, rubbing her nape. A strong, warm hand kneaded her shoulder comfortingly, and Clark’s kind blue eyes met hers, twinkling with amusement.
“I already helped Lois dig up your grave once, Sullivan.” She opened her mouth to protest, then closed it.
“Did you at least miss me?”
“More than my gerbil that died when I was nine. I was heartbroken. Crushed.” Before she could hit him again he caught her wrist and gave her a peck on the nose. On a serious note, he released her, murmuring “I don’t know what I’m gonna do about you two. Curiosity killed the cat.”
“Pot calling the kettle, Clark.”
Lois’ apartment above the Talon:
“I wasn’t expecting houseguests.” Lois strolled through her apartment, abandoning her sneakers when she reached the kitchen counter. The hard wood floor was uncluttered, but a few dishes were still lying unwashed in the sink, and her dining room table was covered in textbooks and notebooks.
“It’s cozy,” Kara assured her.
“You can sit down. Take a load off. It’s the least I can do.”
“You don’t have to do anything for me,” Kara argued.
“Gotta disagree with ya there, Sunshine. Knights in shining armor don’t come around every day. And they don’t usually fly.”
“The damsels in distress don’t usually scream like that, either.” Kara’s smile bloomed slowly across her face. Lois blushed.
She couldn’t help it. It had been thrilling. She never thought she’d see the sky again or breathe fresh air, and she nearly wept when Kara melted the locks on the security door that led toward the roof.
“How are we supposed to get back downst- OH, MY GOD!!” Lois’ stomach careened into her shoes and back up again as Kara wrapped her arms around her neck and looped hers around her waist before launching them both off the roof. Her voice was hoarse from her ordeal inside, but it cracked as she shrieked again. They were flying faster than Lois could run. Wind whipped their hair behind them like a banner and stroked her skin. Her jacket flapped open, leaving her body pressed against Kara’s, her thin top a meager barrier between them. She couldn’t tell if it was her heart pounding its way out of her chest or not. It was about to stop.
Kara’s blonde locks tickled Lois’ lips with its silky tendrils. The body pressed against hers was lithe and strong, cables of lean muscle beneath taut, smooth skin. Kara peered into her face for a fleeting moment.
“Scared?” Lois nodded, swallowing back her terror. “Don’t be.”
“Okay,” she agreed. Kara wasn’t convinced, but she smiled warmly at the brunette. She had nice eyes, she thought.
They landed on the rooftop of the Talon. The sensation of descending rippled through Lois’ abdomen and fluttered within the center of her womanhood. It was a rush. She felt bereft of Kara’s warmth and solid comfort when she released her, but she wanted to bend down and kiss the roof’s floor.
“Thanks for bringing me home.”
“You live here? In the coffee shop?”
“No,” Lois chuckled weakly. “Upstairs. C’mon,” she offered. “Hurry up before anyone sees us! I can’t let anyone see me coming down from the rood instead of in from the front door.” Kara obediently followed her, gently pulling the door shut after them. Lois rattled the key in her lock and shoved it open.
“Home sweet hovel.”
Kara spent the next few minutes browsing through the apartment. A photo sitting on the bookcase caught her attention, an she stroked the silver, mosaic-tiled frame with her fingertips. “That’s Chloe with you!” she exclaimed. Lois paused in opening a pack of Chips Ahoy.
“Yeah. She’s my cousin.”
“Small world. She’s my cousin’s best friend.” This time she nearly dropped the cookies; the packet clattered onto the plate from nerveless fingers.
“Please don’t tell me your cousin’s a big farmboy who wears flannel and drives a pickup, and looks like a Colgate ad?” Kara eyed her quizzically.
“Clark’s my cousin, Clark Kent.” Lois groaned.
“Great. Do me a favor, Kara. Don’t tell him where you found me today…wait. Hold on. Does Clark know you can…you know?”
“Uh-huh.” She was nonplussed.
“Wow. How long have you been like this?”
“As long as I can remember. Family secret. I’m the black sheep.”
“You’re the only one in your family who can do what you did?” Kara steeled herself.
“Yup.” Lois was busy filling two mugs with milk and Hershey’s cocoa powder and didn’t see worry darkening Kara’s eyes.
“Where are you from?”
“I’ve been in Smallville for eighteen years.” It wasn’t a total lie. She didn’t have to explain that most of it was spent in suspended animation.
“Oh, God. You’re…the meteors. You’re meteor-infected!” Kara opened her mouth to explain, but she remembered how Chloe had reacted when she learned Clark’s secret. Keeping it was a burden she also had to shoulder.
“Just don’t call me a freak,” Kara murmured. Lois paused as she tucked the mugs into the microwave.
“You’re not a freak,” Lois replied. “You’re really special.” Kara looked up to find Lois smiling at her, her face devoid of fear or shock.
“So you’re not freaked out?”
“Not as much. One question, though.”
“Shoot.”
“Aren’t you a little drafty in that getup?” Kara giggled.
She was striking and fresh-faced, and her outfit left little to the imagination. A short red shrug jacket showcased rather than covered a skintight, pale blue tube top, stretched across enviably full breasts. Their creamy tops were easily visible above the edge of the stretchy Lycra. Her denim shorts were cut just shy of being obscene instead of just revealing; it was difficult for Lois not to stare at her crotch. She was almost relieve when Kara sat on the couch, but her relief became disappointment. Her gut clenched; what was she thinking? She’d chosen flamboyant accessories. A red canvas belt studded with silver grommets snaked through the denim loops, emphasizing a slender, wasp waist. A dog tag hung from a silver chain around her neck, hanging down between her breasts. Those breasts… They were distracting her.
Why was she reacting like this?
“Clark said the same thing. You sound like him.”
“Blasphemy! Hush your sinful mouth!”
“You do. You both lecture me the same,” Kara teased.
“Clark and I have nothing in common!”
“If you say so.” Lois gave her an arch look as she stirred vanilla and sugar into the mugs.
“I’m serious!”
“Why do I get the feeling you’re not serious all that often?” Lois’ sense of humor was growing on her.
“I resent that.”
“You’r e wearing Hello Kitty socks and a Happy Bunny shirt.”
“Shut up, you.” Lois slid the cookies onto the coffee table. She pressed the cup of cocoa into Kara’s hand and sat on the sofa beside her, tucking her feet beneath her.
Lois was beautiful. Kara watched her mouth as she sipped her drink, licking the foam off her lips in satisfaction. They were naturally pink and full, and she had a wide, generous smile that lit up her face. Her nose was narrow and pert; sculpted high cheekbones were crowned with soft brown eyes. Chestnut hair streaked with dark blonde waved down past her shoulders.
“My cousin’s kind of an idiot.” Kara’s pronouncement made Lois choke and sputter.
“Don’t make me do a spit-take like that again! What d’you mean?”
“You’re the whole package, and he’s not the one sitting on your couch.”
“It’s not like that between us.”
“You don’t like him?”
“Well,” Lois began thoughtfully, “I do. It’s just the way you like crunchy peanut butter. Tastes good, but it gets stuck in your teeth.”
“He’s nice!” Kara pouted.
“He’s almost too nice. And he’s too hung up on his ex. Miss Lana Butter Wouldn’t Melt in Her Mouth Lang. So’s half the town.”
“So? You’re independent, quick, smart, funny…” Kara rattled off a laundry list, ticking off each point on her fingers.
“Whoa. I don’t mind you singing my praises, kiddo, but why try to sell me on Clark?”
“He’s my cousin. I want him to be happy. And he’s missing the chance at happiness staring him in the face.” Lois set down her mug, floored.
“Wow. Got all that after just meeting me?”
“Yeah. I did. Lois? I like you.” Kara took a cookie and bit into it while Lois digested her confession.
“I…I like you, too, Sunshine.” The nickname fit.
“It’s only cute when you say it,” she admitted shyly. The soft look Kara gave her made her stomach quiver again and her heart flutter. Warmth seeped into the tender tissue between her legs.
“Fits you,” Lois whispered, speaking her thoughts before she could stop her mouth.
“Thanks.” Kara’s expression was earnest. “Lois…do you think I’m pretty?”
“Wow, Kara…of course. I mean, look at you! You and Clark came from damned good genes! Don’t tell him I said that. What’s up, though? Why do you ask?”
“It’s just…I’m different. What if I don’t find someone who’s okay…with what I can do?”
“Kara, you’re the one who’s the whole package. Don’t let anyone tell you different.” Lois reached for a cookie, but Kara’s soft grip circled her wrist. Before Lois could ask her about her intent, she peered into Kara’s face. She was silenced by two clear, crystal pools riveted on her. Pleading with her for reassurance.
“I’d like it if you told me again, Lois.” She removed Lois’ mug from her other hand, setting it beside her on the table. Lois’ mouth went dry. She barely tasted the sweet remnant of chocolate on her tongue. She licked her lips and cleared her throat.
“Kara…” Her thumb stroked her wrist, feeling the pulse jump. Her touch sent a ripple of electricity up her arm, making her tingle. “I don’t usually do this.”
“Do what?”
“Well…you’re a girl. A very pretty girl.” Kara beamed and looked relieved.
“I think you are, too!”
“Yeah…about that. I’m not into Clark, but I’m kinda still into…guys.” Lois clamped her eyes shut against what she feared was a frustrated reaction or angry look from Kara. Instead she felt her withdraw her hand.
“I see.” Lois opened her eyes. Kara looked hurt.
“That doesn’t mean I didn’t mean what I said! I’m not really into girls, Kara -“
“You’re not really into me,” Kara finished. She stood. “Thanks for being honest, Lois. I’ll leave you alone now.” She turned to go. Lois felt her heart leap up into her throat.
“NO!” Lois leapt up from the couch and scurried to bar her departure. “Don’t go. I don’t…I don’t want you to leave me alone. Damn, this is hard.” Lois sighed heavily.
“What’s so hard about it?”
“I’ve just always liked boys. There’s nothing wrong with liking girls, Kara. I went to college. I know these things…” Her voice trailed off and she looked sheepish. An awkward, drunken encounter with her roommate after six rounds of tequila shooters tickled the fringes of her memory. She remembered the look on her face when they woke up in the same bed. Lois hated the way she averted her eyes from her and the shamed embarrassment. It felt like it was aimed at her.
“It was easy for me to get the wrong idea, I guess.”
“Why, Kara?”
“Because I can hear your heartbeat. It’s pumping pretty fast. Your cheeks are flushed and all pink. When you see me watching you, you blink.” Kara swallowed. “And I feel bad for taking the liberty, Lois, but I can see your breasts. They’re so beautiful,” she breathed, and her voice was wistful, admiring. “They’re perfect. Your nipples are wind red and tight, like little seedless grapes. You have a tiny mole on the left one, Lois.” Her tone was intimate. “You’re wearing pink panties with Hello Kitty on them.” Lois trembled and her hand rose to her throat. “The front of them is damp. The hair underneath is shiny, even a little glossy because you’re wet. I guess I feel kinda bad, Lois, and like a real jerk, because I thought I did that - to you,” and her voice was clogged by tears of shame. Lois snapped out of her trance, the heady and erotic haze caused by Kara’s words broken.
“Oh, my God. Kara.” She couldn’t just see through her, literally. She could see everything that wasinside of her. And it scared her to death.
“I’d better go.” Lois’hand gripping her arm stopped her.
“No. Please.” Her hand traced the line of her slender arm, stroking up and over the curve of her shoulder. Kara shivered, and she tilted her head back. Lois knew her eyes were closed. She smoothed her hair back, exposing the lean curve of her neck. “Kara, you’d better stay.”
“But - “
“Stay.” Her hand crept into Kara’s, and she squeezed her fingers. Kara’s answering squeeze encouraged her. Kara felt Lois’ breath steam the column of her throat.
Her lips tasted her skin, velvety and soft as butterfly wings. Kara gasped, and her head spin at the revelation of her closeness, of her scent. She smelled Lois’ shampoo and the lingering scent of cocoa and she felt her cervix contract with excitement and arousal.
“But you don’t feel that way about me.”
“I didn’t think that I could.” Lois laced her fingers through hers and looped her arm around Kara’s waist, flattening her palm over her bare, flat stomach. Her touch scorched her, and heat licked up over her breasts, making her nipples poke out the thin Lycra of her top. She felt Lois’ bosom pressed against her back, and she felt oh, so good. Luscious, plum lips teased her earlobe and suckled it, drawing it inside her damp heat. “I was wrong, I guess.”
“Lois, if you don’t really mean…if this is a problem -“
“I mean it. It’s not a problem. Kara?”
“Yes, Lois?”
“Kiss me before I die.” Kara smothered a small, desperate cry as she turned within her embrace to face her. She reached up and cupped her flushed cheeks in her palms and kiss Lois sweetly, making her go up in flames. Rose petal lips teased hers, coaxing them, sliding over them and urging them to open for her. Lois obeyed the silent request and let Kara in.
It was perfect.
Her tongue twined around hers, over and over as Kara explored her mouth. Lois let her take what she wanted and responded in kind. Her hands stole around her waist, stroking her. Her fingers danced over the waistband of Kara’s tiny shorts, and their tips dipped beneath it. The embrace and their kisses were thorough and all-encompassing. Every inch of their bodies were joined. They reveled in it. Lois yelped into her mouth when Kara reached down and scooped her up, easily carrying her to the bedroom. A giddy thrill went through Lois’ belly at being carried over her threshold by the petite blonde.
“You’ve seen me,” Lois husked, kissing her as Kara backed them toward the bed. “Now let me see you.” Kara stood over her as she sat on the bed. She watched with anticipation as she unbuckled her belt. It slid from the loops, hitting the flor with a soft thud. She didn’t resist leaning forward and dipping her tongue into her navel. Kara’s breath hitched and she gasped again. She wanted Lois, all of her, skin on skin. Naked, wet and begging, as hot for her as she felt. Her body thrilled to the crackle of her zipper separating, and her shorts dropped around her ankles. She stepped out of them, and slender fingers peeled off her shrug, letting it slip down her arms. Lois skimmed a lazy finger across one turgid nipple over the fabric, and Kara arched into her touch with a moan. She nodded silently, giving her permission, and Lois rolled down her tube top. Creamy, full breasts spilled free, ripe and firm, begging to be loved by her hands and mouth. She couldn’t, and didn’t wait. Kara cried out more loudly as her nipple was drawn inside.
The tip of her tongue batted at it, then twirled around it as she suckled more firmly. All of the sensation in her body zeroed in on that zone, stimulated and tingling. Kara combed her fingers through her silky hair. Lois kneaded her breast and stroked her, and Kara trembled at the caress of her palm over her tiny blue panties.
“They’re beautiful,” Lois told her. “Just like you.” She cupped her buttocks and measured them with her hands, molding her sumptuous curves. She dragged her mouth in a slippery path over to the other breast and lapped at it, and Kara felt the cool ruch of air on her skin as she scraped her panties down her legs. She whimpered when Lois’ fingers feathered her sensitive flesh. “And you’re wet, too.”
“You did that to me.” She had no problem admitting it.
“There’s so much that I want to do to you.” She caressed the downy strip of dark blonde curls between her thighs and probed the slick flesh inside. Kara’s eyes fluttered shut in rapture.
“Please, don’t stop. Do it again.” She slid her finger out, then back inside, feeling Kara’s walls tighten around her.
“I will. Whatever you want.” She explored her tentatively, seeking out the sensitive, familiar planes she was accustomed to when she pleasured herself. Lois was stunned. She watched her gasp, her mouth dropping open on a series of moans, and she felt powerful. Exultant. She pressed a sweet, dark, rough spot inside of Kara’s sweetness and probed it, stroking her. Her cry was loud and keening, her knees almost buckling. She grasped her wrist.
“Am I hurting you?” Lois looked concerned.
“No.” She realized Kara’s intent was to guide her, not stop her. She coaxed Lois to set an easy rhythm, thrusting up inside her deeply, gradually quickening her pace. Lois followed Kara’s cues of what felt good and she felt a growing thrill of Kara’s hand gripping hers. Lois wanted her to feel how sexy she felt, and how feminine. Kara’s hips jerked into her ministrations, and she arched and bucked, her breathing quickening as Lois suckled her again. Her nipple strained in her mouth while she fell apart in her hand.
She shouted and sobbed Lois’ name as her climax hit her, tiny tremors flowing into shuddering waves in her womb. “I’m coming…Oh, yes, Lois, I’m coming…AAAAAANNGH!” She went weak in the knees, and she felt Lois release her, her fingers slipping free, glistening with her juices.
“Come to bed,” Lois murmured. She gathered her kneeling partner into her arms and pulled her back, inching backward toward the headboard until Kara lay on top of her from head to toe. Kara took her time, kissing her thoroughly until she was dizzy.
Her clothes were peeled away, and Kara ran her eyes over her. “Beautiful. You’re so beautiful, Lois.” She fondled her breasts, devouring wine red nipples that tasted like grapes. Her hips set a pagan rhythm as she thrust her clitoris thrum and tingle. Kara laced her fingers through hers and lifted her hands above her head while she laved her throat. She urged her to keep her hands their as her lips stroke a path down her belly. When Kara settled between her legs, she splayed them open to give her room. Hot, damp heat kissed her core, which was already weeping.
“Tell me, Lois. How can I please you? What feels good?” she pleaded between licks of her tangy flesh. Her clitoris hardened into a tight red pearl. Lois lifted her hips in time to it, and she wrapped her thighs over her shoulders, her ankles crossed over her back.
“KARA! Yes, PLEASE! Please! Your mouth. It’s hot, oh yes, feels good. Feels sooooooo goooood. Mmmmmmmmm…KARA!” she chanted. “Please, Kara, don’t stop! Make me come, make me come…need you to make me come so bad! So close - ah, God! So hot! Mmmmmmmgh! Making me so wet! Tight…oooooooooooo!” Pressure was making her womb twist and contract, and she couldn’t take it. Spasms rocked her inside-out.
They lay together, spent and replete. Lois was sprawled over Kara’s chest; her fingers drew little patterns over the crest of her shoulder. A dreamy smile was plastered over her face.
“Kara?” Lois rasped.
“Mmm-hmmm?”
“I like you.”
“More than crunchy peanut butter?” Kara’s voice was hopeful.
“More like chocolate. More than chocolate.”
“That’s good,” Kara murmured into her hair. She stroked her until her muscles went limp and lax. Her even, deep breathing told Kara she was asleep.
“Lois, I think I’m falling in love with you.” The admission fell on sleep-deaf ears.
“No! Chloe, I didn’t even have my phone! I was here and I gave Kara my cell. I thought Lois was with you.”
“Clark, this is serious! You don’t get it, the last time I saw her, she asked me about 33.1.” His expression was grave.
