A/N: This is the challenge put up by Lady_Stormrider. So do enjoy.

Summary: The road was slick with the new fallen snow as Jack O'Neill drove up to the base when suddenly a figure appeared in front of the vehicle. Twisting the steering wheel, Jack was able to turn the vehicle enough so it didn't strike the person dead on but bumped them with the side. Getting out to investigate Jack finds a young boy who couldn't be even 10 yrs old lying on the road; his body covered with bruises. Believing that the child teleported from a spaceship, Jack contacts SGC and have the boy brought to the base.

Enter the Wolf

Harry was sitting in the main conference room looking out at the Stargate after Daisy had gone over some of the lessons that magical children can learn. After two months of practice he was getting very good at wishing for things, and it always made Daisy jump in joy. Right now he was meditating with Teal’c, since Daisy told him that an organized mind and a sense of calm would help him achieve more when it came to his magic.

During the two months, Jack and Daniel went over the files that came from Janet about the abuse that Harry had been through. After compiling the evidence against the Dursley family, Harry had finally given up the family last name, the documents were sent to the British police and they had gotten the results they had wanted. Jack had adopted Harry, due to the fact that he was most comfortable around him and Teal’c.

Now, as Harry was meditating, Remus Lupin had been found and was being brought into the mountain. The werewolf looked worn and tired. Jack gave the man a short nod, and handed him the parchment that they received the day Harry showed up. As the man read it over, silent tears fell from his eyes and he gave a sad smile to the three people around him.

“I’ll be willing to help, but I would like to free my friend Sirius Black. He’s Harry’s godfather, and I know that he would want to be a part of Harry’s life. He had been wrongly accused of leading the Dark Lord to where James and Lily lived.” His voice was smooth and patient and Sam just knew that he would be good for Harry. Daisy could only teach him so much, and they were running out of self-defence courses that they could teach him before they went into weaponry.

Jack told him that they would do all they could to find Sirius Black and Remus let out a sigh of relief. Sam gave the werewolf a small smile and they led him to where Harry and Teal’c were meditating. Upon seeing his cub, Remus almost let out a howl of joy, but froze upon scenting his mate as well. Seeing dark eyes staring at him, Remus fought the urge to submit to the man with the gold marking on his forehead.

Harry noticed the change in the room, and saw Jack, Daniel and Sam standing beside a man with brown hair and amber eyes. “Are you Mr. Lupin?” He was still hesitant, but when the man gathered him in his arms and began to silently cry, Harry just held him in panicked understanding.

When Remus finally pulled back, a light blush marred his face as he schooled his features into a happy mask. After making sure that his cub was perfectly fine, Remus was about to be shown his room by Teal’c when the sirens went off. Harry ran down the stairs to help, headless of the shouts behind him. Seeing Jack’s friend Lou in pain, Harry began to do muggle first aid on him from behind the barrels.

Remus freaked out upon seeing men in suits of armour attacking the people near his cub, and began his own attack. Spell after spell hit the intruders, knocking them unconscious or tying them up. When one blasted the area right by his cub, the wolf took over. There was no salvation for the Jaffa that had attacked Harry and with that the iris closed over the Stargate.

Before anyone else could do anything, Teal’c made his way over to the werewolf and clamped his arms to his side. Letting out a growl of his own, Remus went slack in his arms, baring his neck in submission. Moving so that Remus could see that Harry was fine, Teal’c released the wizard, and was surprised when he crumpled to the ground in exhaustion.

Harry made his way over to Remus and sat beside the man. “Thank you for protecting Lou and myself. Jack would be miserable if one of his old friends got killed.”

Remus gave a small smile and tried to stand. Teal’c, seeing the struggle, was impressed at the man’s determination. Jack then chose the time to speak.

“Harry, while I am grateful that you could help Lou, I’d prefer it if you didn’t do that until you’ve had a bit more experience under your belt when it came to hostile situations. I understand that you can do things that we can’t but I really don’t want to see you get hurt either.” Jack’s eyes were compassionate, but his voice was firm. Harry nodded, understanding that while Jack was upset, he wouldn’t react like his Uncle Vernon did.

“Now that your teacher is here, we can get you to learn and practice your own personal gifts!” Jack seemed to think that Harry was smart and decided that Harry would just have to study more.

“I’ll need to go to the magical community here in Colorado to get Harry’s supplies and the permission to teach him at home. The wizarding world is picky about that, and if I explain that he’s in danger if he leaves his location, the Ministry of Magic should allow me to teach him.” Remus looked at Harry and smiled. “However, I’d prefer if one of you came with me when we go get Harry’s wand. That way he’ll be even safer from those who’ll wish to use him or cause him harm.”

Jack agreed and soon preparations were being made so that Harry would have a place where he could learn without being disturbed, while keeping it close to SG1 and their respective offices. Daniel was the closest and found that watching and asking questions about the theory of magic sparked an interesting debate with Remus.

Once Remus got permission to teach Harry at the base, it only took a matter of moments before they got Harry into the Magical community of Colorado. The sight to everyone but Remus was astounding. Harry was bouncing around with Jack looking at the sports equipment and the animals, Sam and Daniel were looking at the bookstore and Teal’c stood guard while the others were preoccupied.

{Sstupid humanss, sstop making sso much noisse} Harry turned towards the voice and saw a beautiful Black Mamba Snake curled around a small rabbit.

{Wow! You are beautiful!} Harry didn’t realize he was speaking in another language until Jack stepped up beside him. The Snake immediately looked at Harry.

{A Sspeaker! It iss an honour to meet you; I am Medussa.} She slithered closer and Harry put his hand in the cage to pull her out.

{I am Harry; it iss a pleassure to meet you Medussa.} Harry was still in awe and Jack looked between the pair.

“Umm, Harry, why are you hissing?” He tilted his head and looked like a curious puppy.

“Jack meet Medusa, can I have her please? She’ll be fun to have around, and she can give some venom to make anti-poison.” Harry gave Jack the eyes, and he caved.

However, when they got to the counter, the man gave Medusa to them, saying that it was about time that the evil snake would go. Placing Medusa on his shoulders, Harry made his way over to the book store where Remus was buying several different subjects. Upon seeing Harry and the snake perched on his neck, Remus just tilted his head.

“Her name is Medusa Remus. She’s also a lot of fun to talk to. She tells the best of jokes! Jack said I could keep her!” Harry was talking quickly, and when Sam saw the snake on Harry’s shoulder, she looked worriedly at Jack. He shook his head and Sam pursed her lips in displeasure.

Upon getting the books, Remus led the group to the Gringotts bank. He explained the situation, and they were brought to an office where Remus was given magical guardianship over Harry, and Jack got muggle custody of him. Leading them to a special door, they found themselves in another room, but the goblin that met with them stated that they were now in Diagon Alley.

Sam looked back at the doorway and then back at the goblin. He gave her a toothy smile and brought them to Harry’s vault. Seeing the mounds of money, Harry decided to look at the weapons that were mounted on the walls. Picking up a set of long daggers, a broad sword and several staves, Harry then decided to look at the books. Seeing books from Merlin on the shelves, Harry picked them up as well, placing them in the trunk that Remus insisted he bring along.

After an hour of filling the trunk full of wanted items, Remus led them to the wand shop. Upon entering, Harry and Daniel sneezed at the amount of dust in the room. With very little time to look around, Harry and the team were startled by an old man appearing in the room.

After being “measured”, Harry was wondering why none of the wands felt right. He didn’t even need to swish them like asked, he just handed them back. When he finally got his wand, Harry held it close and told Medusa that he would be able to get more mice for her now with his wand, causing her to hiss in pleasure.

Upon getting the wand, they made their way back to Gringotts where they could get back to the States. Once they arrived back at the mountain, Harry made a mad dash to his room on the base and began filling the shelves with his books. The others made it to his room and saw that he was being helped by Daisy, and that the room seemed to have gotten bigger.

Remus smiled at his cub, and was glad that he would have some time with Harry. He saw that Teal’c was watching him once again and offered him, and the others, to come to Harry’s classes if they were free. With the explanation that it would help them understand what Harry was learning, Daniel and Sam agreed immediately, followed by Teal’s and Jack. With that, Remus made his way to his room with his purchases and put them away as well.

AN: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I know that things are moving a bit fast, but I need to get Harry to the age of 14 quickly before I can go into greater details. Just note that there will be flash backs and Sirius should arrive next chapter, as well as Dumbledore.

Sam looked up at the system lord as if he were insane. Did the Goa’uld honestly believe that cookies would sway them to switch sides?

“What kind of cookies?”

“JACK!” Sam rounded on the Colonel O'Neill.

“No. No, Sam. It's a valid question.” Daniel put in.

Teal'c nodded “I concur. How are we to make an intelligent decision without knowing the cookies contents?”
