A Twist and a Turn

Chapter Two; A Twist and a Turn
Chris and Wyatt were still awake when everyone else had gone to sleep. Even though they knew the other was awake, there were no words to fill the silence. The boys looked out the window of their shared room, or tried to sleep, or sat up and read. Nothing would let them sleep. There was a sudden crash of glass and the boys looked to the door.
“BITCH!” A voice that sounded like Piper yelled out.
“Be careful.” Wyatt said, as they both got up and went to the door. Chris became impatient for a fight, which was normal for him, and ran out the door, a potion in one hand and an Athame in the other. Wyatt was about to follow when someone grabbed him from behind. Before he could call out to orb the crystals, a pair of lips met his. The taste was passionate. The fire was wild. Wyatt felt himself slipping away into a world where all he wanted was to be kissed by this man. He felt a warm longing for his brother. His kin. Chris was one of the most important things to him, although he'd never tell him, and some days he just wanted to be with his brother.
“Chris!” Called some distant voice. There were footsteps and the kisser was suddenly taken away.
“Wyatt?” The voice asked. It was still so distant. Wyatt felt himself falling to the floor.
“Crystals, circle.” Called a voice, but then there was nothing.

Paige looked at Wyatt. He had fallen down and was either unconscious or asleep. She had made a circle of crystals to try and catch the demon, but he had shielded himself from it and disappeared. Piper appeared on the stairs. She looked in and saw her son on the ground.
“Paige, heal him.” Piper snapped. Paige bent down and tried, but Wyatt wouldn't come to. Leo appeared shortly after, carrying Chris in his arms. Chris was the same.
“What should we do?” Paige asked.
“We need Coop. He could tell if their sexuality has switched or something as such. He helps love of all kinds, so he has to know what to look for.” Piper answered. Paige nodded. She looked at her Nephews one more time and then orbed out to Phoebe's place.
“What do we do with them?” Leo asked.
“Lets put them on their beds and let them rest. It might be a spell-like dream, but I can't be sure.” Piper said. She left them and then went to the attic.
“Auntie Piper?” A little voice asked.
“Panya. What is it?” Piper asked.
“I heard noises.” she said, hugging a doll.
“Don't worry sweetie. Go back to bed and either I or your Mummy will be there shortly. Okay?” Piper said.
“Okay.” She said. She turned and walked back to her room, still with the doll in her hands. Piper looked at the slowly walking figure, a tear in her eye. She wiped it away and went upstairs. She grabbed the book and went downstairs again. She opened it to a page for spell-induced sleep.
Let these words carry the spell, free the minds of sleeping hell. Awaken now and look at me, say my name and be set free.” Piper read aloud. The boys didn't stir. Leo shook his head.
“Only Coop can answer the questions. Just wait.” he said. A moment later there was a flash of pink as Coop appeared and orbs followed closely as Paige and Phoebe appeared.
“I see.” Coop said, looking at the unconscious boys. “Well, if you give me a minute, I will definitely tell you what is happening.” Coop said.
“Who did you get? Coop or Doctor Phil?” Piper asked. Phoebe put a finger to her lips, telling Piper to be quiet. Coop ran his hands over Wyatt's head and then his heart. He nodded and then turned to Chris, doing the same thing.
“I see whats happened. The demon targeted Wyatt, because Wyatt is the one with the bigger heart. Because of this, Wyatt cares a lot more about Chris then the other way around. In so infecting Wyatt, he was able to infect Chris. If it had been Chris he infected, Wyatt would have been able to resist it until the demon kissed him.” Coop said.
“So how do we reverse it?” Piper asked.
“You don't.” Coop answered.
“Wait. Are you telling me that I now have to face the fact I might not be a grandmother, or that my sons will never have a heterosexual relationship?” Piper snapped.
“I didn't say it wasn't reversible at all. But we need someone to heal them. Do they have girlfriends?” Coop asked. Piper looked at Leo, who looked at Coop.
“Chris does, because he isn't as work-focused as Wyatt. While Wyatt takes girls to dances and social events when they are held, he doesn't have a girlfriend as such.” Leo answered. He stood up and took out a pocket book and flipped through it.
“What is that?” Phoebe asked.
“It is a notebook I have to keep track of some things.” Leo answered.
“Like what?” Piper asked.
“Like what girlfriend Chris has this week and what he is doing for the weekend provided he is not grounded and what Wyatt and I are doing for this Sunday so I don't forget.” Leo said, finding the page he wanted.
“So who is the lucky girl?” Paige asked. “At least, this weeks lucky girl?” she continued.
“This week it would be Melissa. But I can't say for sure. Only Coop can say which girl loves Chris enough to reverse the magic.” Leo handed the book to Coop. He looked through it.
“Only one girl really has enough love for Chris to reverse it, and it is not Melissa. It is Holly.” He said. There was a pause. “She was with him from the third of January to the twentieth of March, and she had true feelings for him, but Chris turned her down when her ex-boyfriend, not true love, punched him and he didn't want to use his powers for personal gain.” Coop said.
“You knew all that from just looking at the book?” Phoebe asked.
“No, I knew because Chris told me. He comes to me sometimes for love advice, and so on. Romancing women. You know what I mean.” Coop explained, going a little quiet.
“Well, lets get her here to heal him.” Piper said.
“Piper, it isn't that easy.” Phoebe said.
“Well why not?” Piper asked, getting impatient.
“First of all,it is nearly two in the morning, secondly, she is hurt by him and thirdly she has to still have feelings enough to want to be with Chris again, and same with Chris for her.” Phoebe said. Piper looked from Phoebe to Coop and back again.
“You two should be love professors, you know that? You could make a killing.” Piper stood up and looked at everyone.
“What?” Paige asked.
“You need to go and check on your daughters.” Piper told Paige, suddenly remembering Panya would still be awake and waiting for her. “And if anyone wants something to drink, ask me now, because I am going for some tea.” She said. She walked out of the room and stopped at the stairs. She looked over her shoulder and saw Paige looking at her daughters. Try though she might, she couldn't fight the tears any more. She walked down the stairs, wiping them away. She stood in the kitchen and started boiling water in the kettle. Leo walked in.
“Piper, honey, whats wrong?” Leo asked.
“I am just so tired. And I am seeing the innocent look in Panya's face as she tries to either comprehend or black out the demons she sees. And I can't help but remember when I was still innocent to all this, and wish I still was some days.” She said. Leo hugged her as she broke down into crying fits. Coop walked in and saw Piper crying in Leo's arms. He and Leo exchanged looks and then he turned and walked out.

The following morning.
The sun rose and multi-colored lights flowed through the conservatory. Piper stirred lightly and then opened her eyes. She had fallen asleep in Leo's arms and Paige was in a rocking-chair, her youngest child, Quinn, asleep in her arms.
“Goodness. What time is it?” Piper asked, looking at her watch. It was seven-thirty. She went upstairs and looked in on her sons. They were still asleep. Nothing had changed. A hand touched her shoulder and it was Leo.
“We need to call school and excuse them today.” Leo said. Piper took another look at the boys and then nodded. She walked away and grabbed one of the house phones. She dialed the school number and waited.
“Hello. Yes, my name is Piper Haliwell, I am calling on behalf of Chris and Wyatt Haliwell. They won't be in today, or they will be very late.” Piper said. The voice on the other end spoke. “Sick? Yeah, you see, I'm not perfectly sure if they will even be getting out of bed today.” she answered. “So I will call the school if things change, and I will provide a medical certificate as always.” Piper said. The voice answered her and then disconnected. “Good morning to you too.” Piper said to the dial tone. She hung up and turned to Leo.
“We need to find Holly.” She said.
“I know, and we will, just go to work and I will work on it with Coop and Paige today.” Leo said. “Now go and get some breakfast on while I check on the boys.” Leo kissed Piper on the forehead and then walked off. He went upstairs and walked into his sons bedroom. He sat on Wyatt's bed.
“I don't care if you come back as homosexuals. I don't care if you come back as trans-genders. Just come back to me.” Leo begged.
“Oh they will, and sooner than you think.” Said a voice. Leo looked around as a hand hit him hard over the head and sent him into a bookshelf. Quarthus stood over him.
“I like family outings, lets make this one as father-son.” He said. He waved his hand and Wyatt and Chris's bodies disappeared an a flash of pink smoke. He grabbed Leo's semi-conscious body and disappeared in another puff of pink smoke. Paige, having been the first to hear the noise, orbed upstairs with crystals in hand. She saw the smoke floating around and took a smell.
“Now if only guys smelled like that in the morning.” She said. She then noticed the missing bodies. “If only they were still here.” She said. She waved away the sweet-smelling smoke that still lingered and orbed downstairs to Piper.
“They're gone.” she said.
“What?” Piper asked, looking shocked.
“Leo and the boys are gone.” Paige said. Piper didn't respond.

In the underworld.
Such a catch as to be deemed worthy of ruling the underworld.” Quarthus said. He looked at the prizes he had. Two sons, still under the transformation, and their father, who was in a magical cage.
“What will you do to my boys?” He asked in an angry tone.
“I will watch them. Nothing is better than losing your virginity to someone you love.” Quarthus laughed. He went to the mirror and re-summoned Lesbos.
“My dear Sister. Here is the pendant as promised.” Quarthus said. He put it around her neck and kissed her on the cheek. She smiled.
“Anytime. Make it good. The Sisters will be here for them soon.” Lesbos warned. Quarthus nodded. With that, in a flash of purple, Lesbos was gone.
“You wouldn't dare?” Leo snarled.
“Do you want to challenge me mortal?” Quarthus asked.
“If it means saving my sons from each other, then yes.” Leo said.
“Very well. Here is the deal. You can fight me with any weapon you choose, no magic. First one down and unable to stand is the loser. If you win, I will set your sons free of my spell before it becomes permanent. But if I win, you must join them.” Quarthus said. Leo looked stunned.
“Whats the matter?” Quarthus asked. “Not so sure now, are you?” He turned and looked at the boys, who were still lying on their backs on the floor and at the two demons who were watching the events unfold and whispering what they would like to do to the boys if they had the chance.
“I need to think about it.” Leo said.
“You have until I return, I need to set a few things up for now.” Quarthus said. He disappeared in a flash of pink smoke. Leo smelled the air. It was a very calming scent. He relaxed a little as the smell took him over. He thought hard about the choice he was about to make.

Haliwell manor; The Attic.
Quaarthus appeared in the attic. He took looked around. He quickly found what he wanted and ran a hand over it. He chanted a quick incantation and be-spelled the scrying crystals. He then went to the map and put a magical block over his location. Hearing footsteps, he disappeared again.
“I don't understand why he would want Leo, after all, he is married to me and he can't undo that. There must be more to this.” Piper ranted. She took the book that had been a reference to the demon in the first place and looked it up again. It didn't help.
“I found this last night on the Internet.” Phoebe said. She had arrived with Coop to help with things after Leo had disappeared. She handed the printout to Piper.
“The demons of lust can be very persuasive. When they threaten something a married man or woman cannot change, they are offered to fight for what he or she wants. If the mortal wins, the demon carries out his side of the deal and doesn't follow through with the threats. But if the demon wins, the man forfeits his marriage protection for twenty-four hours. After the time has elapsed, he is turned back into a straight married man, with only the memories with him.” Piper read aloud. She looked at Phoebe.
“Yeah, I'm sorry, but I didn't think it would be important until after work.” She said.
“Phoebe. My sons and my husband are about to do something nature never intended them to do, and if they do that, I am going to feel very odd about kissing my husband again.” Piper said.
“PIPER.” Phoebe yelled, to get Piper to stop ranting. “Just in case you hadn't finished reading, you will notice that the husband can be turned back upon simply seeing his wife. The boys we can turn back if we can find the girls we need.” Phoebe said. “And in good news, we have found Holly.”
“So what is that long face for?” Piper continued.
“It says here that anyone who has had a Lust demon put a spell on them has only twenty-four hours to be turned back, or else the spell is permanent.” Phoebe finished.

You might have paid for the seat you are sitting in, but I bet you are only using the edge of it right now. What a waste of money. Anyway, I hope you are enjoying the story so far. Please let me know your thoughts,
