Chapter 2

After the initial shock wore off, Dean managed to drive them to a town in Tennessee before calling it quits for the day. He took off to hustle pool and left Sam at the room with the computer to make his plans. He started by looking at all of the options and almost freaked out with all the choices.

New Year's celebrations galore. Sam frowned. New Year's? Then when the hell is Christmas?

He checked the calendar on the computer and frowned. "Oh, that was the big party at Bradley's house that was going on while we were out digging up the bitch of the house."

It was now December 29th and Sam had to admit that he felt pretty bad about forgetting the holiday. "I'll just make it up to him."

He looked through the different resorts. "Okay...off-site. No, what's the point of going if you just have to drive everywhere with all the other morons....Oh hey...value resorts..." Looking at the big dalmatians and the lifesize boombox made him skip over those. The piano shaped pool was nice, but apparently this was a big place for kids. "Next."

He looked at moderate resorts and frowned. None of them really fit his brother and he knew they'd need privacy. "Hey..what's this? Club resorts?" He passed by the fancy ones and then saw something that made him smile. "Log cabins...Fort Wilderness...here we come." He did what he had to do to secure their reservations for January 1st. They'd arrive that evening and stay for a week. Perfect.

Next he checked out the park tickets and grabbed the seven day hopper plus passes. It gave them access to all four parks and the waterparks, the golf course and an interesting place called Pleasure Island. He loved the wording for the place. "'Celebrate New Year's every night'...works for me."

He looked up as Dean walked back in. The smile fell from his face when he saw Dean's eye. He'd been hit hard. Sam jumped up and helped Dean to sit down. "Shit, you got into a fight?"

Dean just shrugged. "I kept the money. It's fine."

"It's not fine. You're hurt." He went to the bathroom and got a cold cloth before coming back to dab the injury.

"How is it not fine that I'm hurt?" He took the cloth and held it to his own eye.

"What? Dean, I don't like seeing you hurt."

Dean shook his head. "Just forget it."

Sam sighed. "It's because I tried to kill you, isn't it? We need to talk about this."

"No, we don't. I just want to be left alone."

Sam thought about what to do to possibly help his brother when he remembered something. "Hey! I was thinking of taking one of these cards and picking something up for you. We can do something to celebrate tomorrow. That's only five days late."

"For what?"

"Christmas!" He smiled at the shocked look on Dean's face. "I know. I couldn't believe itb either. We forgot all about it."

Dean's look of shock faded to one of extreme hurt. "No, we didn't."

"Uh...yeah we did. It's the 29th and-"

"You forgot, Sammy." He stood and pulled out a newly repaired chain from his pocket with a celtic protection charm on it. "I'd never forget."

Sam nearly threw up as the realization hit him and his memory went back to that Christmas night.

Bradley and Rebecca were downstairs greeting guests and Sam and Dean headed out to the cemetery. Before Sam could get out of the car, Dean grabbed his hand. "Sam, wait..." He reached into his pocket and took out a small red velvet box and handed it to Sam. "I hope...I hope you like it."

Sam opened the box and frowned at the Celtic protection charm. "Yeah, it's great. But this is hardly the-"

Dean shook his head. "Aren't you going to put it on?"

"Uh...sure..." Sam put the necklace on and then smiled at Dean. "Are we done with this now? I'd like to take care of this problem so maybe we can get some sleep tonight."

He got out of the car trying to figure out why his brother had gotten so weird. He'd already pulled stuff out of the trunk before Dean got out of the car. He was quiet, but Sam figured it was still over the issue at the asylum and blew up. "You know...this is getting a little old."

Dean looked up in surprise. "What are you talking about?"

"The silent treatment. I know that I screwed up. I get that, but then you go treating me like I'm some weak piece of shit because I got possessed. I get it now. You give me the necklace so maybe this time I won't fall into any traps since I'm not strong enough to face them myself. You know what? I don't need your help and I sure as hell don't need this!"

He jerked the necklace off of his neck and threw it at Dean, finding that his temper had just blown totally. He felt guilty enough and now it was as if Dean was rubbing his nose in it. He had left with his shovel and other equipment, leaving Dean to stand there for a good ten minutes by himself.

When Dean had joined him they had hurried and finished their business and headed back to the house to rest. By the next day the incident had seemed forgotten.

Sam reached out and took the chain from Dean. "This was my Christmas present..."

"Yeah, it was." He released the charm so that it fell into Sam's hand.

"You fixed it."

"It was something I could fix..."

Sam sighed. "I just keep screwing up, don't I?"

Dean just looked at Sam and shrugged. "No, not you..." He walked into the bathroom and locked the door before taking a shower.

The sound of the lock turning made Sam frown. That's one habit I really need to break him of...

Sam looked down at the charm in his hand and just let himself cry.

---------------------------

The next few days were filled with Sam secretly typing away on the computer and Dean just sitting in his bed reading various paperbacks he'd bought from the dollar store. He was starting to figure out some fun names for his dick.

'Manhood', 'quivering member', 'manroot'... Dean tried not to laugh. He preferred just 'cock', 'dick', 'penis'...those seemed semi normal to him at least.

Sam looked up in time to see Dean's smirk. He didn't know what Dean was reading, but anything that had that old look on his face again was good enough for him. He wished that Dean would train that look on him, but he didn't want to hope for miracles.

The trip to Florida was quiet. Dean put music on and didn't talk. Sam was fortunate that most of the traffic seemed to be going out of the state and not in so they made good time. At one point Dean was obviously stunned.

They drove past the huge sign for Disney and suddenly all the green street signs became purple. "Uh...where is it?"

"Where is what?" Sam was grinning inside. He knew that Dean would know nothing of Disney World.

"The park...Disney World."

"This is it, Dean."

"It's just roads."

"No Dean...it's that big. There are a lot of things to explore."

Dean fell silent and just drove to where Sam told him until they came to a parking lot.

Dean got out and watched as Sam did the same. Dean started to go for his things when Sam stopped him. "We're just checking in."

Dean looked at the small building. It was a typical hotel he figured. They were walking up the stairs to the outpost when Dean saw the word 'campground'. He figured they were sleeping in tents and continued into the building.

The room was nice. There was a fireplace, but it was roped off, and a couch and two chairs over to one side. He sat down while Sam handled their checkin.

Sam smiled at the woman and gave his name.

"Yes, sir. You're in cabin 2468." She grinned. "That should be easy to remember."

Sam laughed. "Yeah, good point."

"Here is your keycard. You can also use it as a credit card. Anything you charge on it will come back to the credit card you gave us for the cabin. Here's one for your guest, Dean Winchester." She smiled. "Relative?"

Sam leaned forward. "Honestly? He's more than that. I broke his heart and I need everything to be perfect for this trip."

The woman blushed and looked around the counter at Dean. "He's very handsome. You're a lucky man and, if you don't mind me saying so, shame on you for hurting him." She smirked. "For your first charge would you like something sent to the cabin?"

Sam laughed. "You read my mind." He wrote something down on a piece of paper and slid it to her. "Can you do it?"

"Yes, sir. You're at Disney World. It's where magic happens."

Sam took care of everything else and went to where Dean was sitting. "Ready?"

Dean shrugged and walked out to the car with Sam following. Sam gave him some directions and Dean tried to ignore his confusion. Where the hell is the campground?

Sam suddenly pointed. "Here! Pull in here!"

Dean pulled the Impala into a tiny driveway in front of a log cabin. "What is this?"

"It's where we're staying."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really. What? You thought we were going to be in some hotel room again? Not for you, Dean. This is special."

Dean sat in the car. "A log cabin? What...I'm too damned rugged to have somewhere nice? Yeah...I get it." He got out of the car and slammed the door, going to the trunk to pull out his things.

Sam rolled his eyes. You're kidding me... He got out as well and grabbed his things from the backseat before joining Dean. "I'm sorry. Look, I'll get another place. I thought it would be good because it's more private and I looked at the pictures and it seemed peaceful, but maybe you're right. Maybe I should just-" He was cut off as Dean's lips captured his.

Dean was still hurt, but it had been killing him not to touch Sam, not to feel him in bed with him, not to hear him groan in pleasure. For just one moment he needed to remind himself of what was missing in his life. His tongue explored Sam's mouth and both men were vaguely aware that they had dropped their bags.

Dean backed away and knelt down to get his bags. "Don't think this changes anything. The cabin is perfect, by the way."

He walked up the steps to the deck which had two doors and one picnic table. The deck was completely shadowed by the large trees giving them complete privacy even outdoors.

Sam looked at the two doors. The closest to the steps had the keycard slot so he figured the second door was just to go out of. He slid the card in and then moved aside so Dean could enter first.

Dean didn't make it far before he stopped. He was standing in a kitchen. To the right was a dining room table and beyond that was a living area. Everything was done in a mountain cabin theme and Dean was in heaven.

He dropped his things and took off to the left where there was a hallway. To his right was a bathroom and then he went all the way to the end to find the bedroom. It had a double bed and a set of bunk beds. He walked back out to the living room to see Sam examining a wall. "What are you doing?"

Sam grabbed the edge of the wall and pulled. "Murphy bed." He smiled. "I'll be sleeping out here."

Dean took a deep breath and nodded. He grabbed his things and took them to the bedroom.

Sam rushed after him and caught hold of his arm, turning him around. "Dean, wait...it's not what you think. I want to give you room, okay? I have fucked up so badly and I won't force myself on you in any way. I'm going to do everything I can to show you how much I love you and anything else...it's in your court, okay? I want to make sure you're ready." He kissed his lips gently and brushed his thumb over Dean's cheek, pleased to see that the black eye had faded to almost non existence.

He put his clothes away in the bedroom as well and then went back to the living room to put the bed back up. "Our passes aren't good until tomorrow so we can just spend a quiet evening in if you'd like."

Dean walked into the bathroom and closed the door. After a moment he came out. "Sammy! The towels are shaped like animals!" He closed the door again.

Sam just smiled sadly. "Welcome to your first childhood, big brother..."
