This is chapter 2 of A Woman Scorned
In the previous chapter I forgot to mention this is a sequel to Reunion.


Doubts and Fears


"Bo what are ya doing?" Luke asked as he walked in and found Bo
packing a suitcase. When Bo turned to him he was surprised to see a
look of anger on Bo's face.


"I'm leaving you Luke, I see now that Diane's right about you. You
took advantage of me, manipulated me and turned me against Diane so's
you could have me. I just wish I'd seen it sooner, I wish I'd left
with Diane years ago. If I had I wouldn't have been here for Jeff or
you to hurt."


"Bo please don't do this, I love you, I wish I could've protected you
better but...Bo you know it wasn't me that hurt you, it was Roy..."


"I don't believe that anymore, I know it was really you, there weren't
no ghost. I just can't believe I actually fell for that, but not anymore.
I'm leaving Luke, I'm going to Diane I'll be better off with her, so
don't try to stop me."


Watching Bo walking out of his life Luke fell to his knees, "NO!"
Jerking awake Luke lay for several minutes getting his breathing under
control. Turning to his right he was glad to see Bo was still asleep,
good at least one of them would get some sleep. Watching Bo sleep,
Luke felt his eyes tearing up as he remembered the dream that had woke
him up. What if it happened, what if Bo decided to leave him for Diane.
She may have hurt him but at least she hadn't tortured him and raped
him, maybe Bo would be better off without him. Finding it more and more
difficult to hold the sobs inside Luke carefully got up. Quietly he
dressed and left the room, carrying his boots with him. Stopping on the
porch, he slipped his boots on and headed to the barn, where he could
cry without waking anybody up.


Bo woke up a short time later, the absence of his love making it
impossible to sleep. After waiting a little while for Luke to return
he got up and went in search of him. Finding him nowhere in the house
Bo stepped outside, seeing all of the vehicles still in the yard he
knew Luke had to be nearby. Not seeing him anywhere Bo started for the
barn, at first he didn't see anything and then he heard a noise from
above. Climbing the ladder into the hayloft Bo saw Luke curled up in
a corner, sobbing his heart out. Fear clutching at his own heart Bo
slowly approached Luke so as not to startle him, he wasn't used to
seeing Luke like this and it terrified him to think of what could bring
Luke to this. "Luke...Luke please love talk to me. Tell me what's
wrong love, whatever it is we'll get through it together." Bo wasn't
sure what to do when his words just made Luke cry harder. Not knowing
what else to do Bo let his heart guide him, wrapping Luke in his arms
he held him as he cried. Hoping Luke would know he was safe, that Bo
would always be here for him no matter what, Bo gently began to rock
Luke soothing him with whispered words of love. His heart breaking at
the state his lover was in, it was all Bo could do to keep himself
together, but he knew he had to, for Luke. This time he had to be the
strong one, he just prayed he would be strong enough to help Luke, just
like Luke had helped him so many times before.


Finally crying himself out Luke became aware of the arms that held
him. He should have known Bo would find him, should have known Bo would
be here for him. He felt the gentle swaying motion and heard Bo's
whispers of love, words that traveled straight to his heart, making him
feel safe. For a while he just enjoyed being held, relaxing into Bo's
embrace he was content to let Bo be the strong one for a change. He
knew it couldn't last though, knew that he would have to talk to Bo and
tell him what was wrong.


Bo allowed Luke a while to relax, he wanted his lover to feel safe
before he started asking for answers. After a while he felt Luke
beginning to tense up, knowing the time had come to talk he calmly
began. "Luke what's got you so upset?" When he got no answer he tried
again, "Please love I want to help you but I can't if you don't tell me
what the problem is."


"I'm sorry darlin, I didn't want to worry you that's why I came out
here. I had a bad dream and..."


"A dream?" shock evident in his voice, "Must've been pretty bad to get
you this worked up. Will you tell me about it please?" Bo begged
worried for Luke.


"I...you, you were leaving me to be with Diane. You said she was
right, that you'd be better off with her...and ya said you didn't
believe..." Luke trailed off unable to go on.


"That I didn't believe what? Luke, I love you don't you know that by
now, I couldn't live without you. I wouldn't ever think about leaving
you and especially not for Diane. Whatever happened in your dream, it
was just a dream love, please believe me, you're the only one I want."
Leaning down Bo sealed his declaration with a kiss, drawing back he
lightly stroked Luke's cheek waiting for Luke to tell him the rest.


Swallowing back the tears that once again threatened to fall, Luke
tried to speak. After a couple of deep breaths he found his voice, "In
my dream you said...you didn't believe Roy Logan was the one that hurt
you. You thought..."


"Oh Luke, no I...love I know it wasn't you that hurt me. You know that
I don't blame you for what happened at Halloween don't you, please believe
me, I love you Luke nothing could ever change that. I'm not going to
leave you for Diane or anybody else, Diane never loved me Luke I know
that. Heck the only reason she wants me now is cause she lost her
carnival, if she still had it she never would've come back here. Please
Luke don't let her come between us."


"You really mean it don't you?" Luke asked in amazement. "You don't
blame me for what happened in that motel. I'm sorry Bo, sorry I ever
doubted you, doubted our love. I can't believe I let her get to me like
that, I'm sorry I worried you.... Maybe there's some way I could make
it up to you." Luke rasped giving Bo a sly smile.


Grinning in return Bo leaned down to once again claim Luke's lips in a
kiss. "Oh I'm sure we can think of something," Bo whispered, rubbing a
hand over Luke's crotch, pleased to feel his lover's erection. Holding
Luke in his arms Bo slowly began to unbutton his love's shirt. Giving
into temptation as Luke's chest was bared Bo leaned down to suck on
Luke's nipples. Alternately biting and licking Bo soon had Luke writhing
