Chapter 2

As greg pulled up to the red brick house he sighed. He really hated missing persons cases. Usually, they were just some young adult that wanted to strike out on thier own, and they were perfectly fine. He walked up the cobelstone front path, a little anxious. He knocked on the door and stood waiting. Suddenly an older woman flung open the door.
"Have you found her?," the older woman asked.
"Uhm no, ma'am, I'm here to look around your daughters room for clues," Greg stuttered.
"Oh... ok then. I'm Bobbie, her mom,"the woman explained, reaching out her hand to greg.
"Greg Sanders, CSI," he explained, turning on his charming smile.
Bobbie led him back to a black door with a big Green Day poster on it and just stood there.
"This is her room.... I've not touched anything since she went missing," she exlpained, tears threatening to fall.
"Thanks, I'll go from here," Greg choked out, not wanting to see the older woman cry.
Greg looked around the room. There were posters of My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Linkin Park, and Good Charlotte all over the pink and black walls. Red paint was spattered across the pink, giving the look of blood. The floor was littered with clothes, books, drawings, and pop bottles. The bed was in shambles, as if never made. Pet supplies were crowding a small row of shelves above a relatively new, but battered Dell computer. Most of teh furniture was either black or red. The only thing that appeared clean was a large cage in the corner, which upon further inspection, housed a small ferret. He smiled and noticed the ferret was low on food and looked around spotting two bags. He mixed some of each bag in the ceramic dog bowl in the cage and smiled as the ferret started eating happily.
He began looking through her desk and found a curious book hidden away. He opened it and smiled. It was her diary

Hey Diary,

I can't take it any more! Mark keeps hitting me and doing other things to me that I won't even mention here. Whats worse, is he has started inviting those creeps he calls friends. No More! I'm just going to vanish for a while.

Greg smiled to himself. He was right, she just took a break. And, from the looks of it, that "Mark" guy was gunna catch hell when she got back. He heard a sound at the window and turned to see none other than the missing girl!
"What the fuck are you doing in my house?," she exclaimed more pissed than upset.
"Well, you are officially a missing persons, your mom filed the report, I was here looking for clues to your whereabouts," Greg said nervously.
She seemed to contimplate that for a few moments before lunging at him crying and hugging him. Greg was so shocked that they both fell to the floor with her on top. She was babbling making unintelligable sounds. Greg did all he could think to do, he held her. She flinched but relaxed just as quick.
"You have no idea what I've been hiding from, now I'm safe," Jeri said as she sat up, laughing now.
"Well, you have to come with me to headquarters, so you can explain things to my boss now," Greg stammered. He wasn't used to having an attractive female so close to him, practically sitting on his lap.
All she did was nod and got up. As they went down the stairs, her mother saw her and hugged her tight.
"What on Earth is going on, Mr. Sanders?," she asked.
"Well, I have to take Jeri here to the Station, ma'am. She should be back soon, don't worry. I won't let anything happen," Greg said to the worried mother, smiling at her before he whisked Jeri to see Grissom.
