What's in a Package?

Chapter 2: What’s in a Package?

But Cath knew what it was by the feel; she opened it and her suspicions were confirmed. [Oh my…this is a thing of beauty… a little bit over nine inches long not counting the balls which added about three inches…the texture and the realism…wow…this is…I’ve got to find out where Sara got it…I wonder if Grissom knows about this…wait…a…minute…Grissomonius…Grissom…to the internet].

[Don’t have much time…maybe thirty minutes tops…]She searched for a long time and found a web page called the Forbidden Latin Language
(http://www.orbilat.com/Languages/Latin/Vocabulary/Latin-Forbidden.html). She scanned down the page and at the very bottom she found it: [“veretrum n male sexual organ.”. So Grissomonius Veretrum means “GRISSOM’S COCK!”…oh Sara…now I have got to know the story behind this…I can’t wait ‘til you get back…back…I better go get my files and get back to my own cubicle…this is so choice.]

~~~~~~~
Cath was still plotting some way to take Grissom’s place and drive Sara to the airport when serendipititous occurrence landed at her feet.
As Grissom and Sara entered his office Grissom’s beeper went off.
“Damn, bugs from Ecklie…high profile…double damn”
“Gil, you have to go…let’s say goodbye now. I’ll get a cab and…” Grissom didn’t give Sara a chance to finish her statement but silenced her lips with an impassioned kiss which became deeper and more passionate as the minutes passed.
Grissom’s beeper went off again. “Ecklie…”
“Ah Gil, sweetheart you’d better make a pit stop…Grissomonius is…”
Grissom looked down. “Right Sara, pit stop. See you in a few days.”
“Counting the hours…minutes…seconds…”
Gil left headed first for the bathroom and then Ecklie’s office. Sara sighed, gathered the files and was about to put them in her suitcase.
[That’s funny I thought it was unzipped…]
Cath heard what sounded like glass breaking, doors being slammed and heavy footfalls. She walked into the hallway and saw the retreating form of an obviously upset Grissom, storming in the direction of Ecklie’s office. Cath walked back down to the break room and saw Nick cleaning up another broken coffee pot on the floor and a new coffee stain on the wall. She looked at Nick, “Grissom?”
“Yeah, at least it wasn’t any of Greg’s special blend. I’ll call George. He has a special cleaning formula; takes the coffee stain right out of the wall, even the industrial sludge variety.”
Cath left Nick to his problem and went back to Grissom’s office to solve hers. She walked into the office and saw Sara looking distraught.
“Sara, what’s wrong? You didn’t have a fight with Griss? He seemed really…mad and upset. Took it out on the coffee pot again. Ecklie?”
Sara laughed somewhat dissolutely. “Yes, Ecklie. He called Grissom out to the field for some bugs. Now I have to get a cab and…”
“And you’ll miss your good-bye kisses at the airport. Look, I’ll take you to airport Sara. I’ll keep an eye on Gil; make sure he takes care of himself while you are gone. Hell, I even run interference with Ecklie if necessary. We will all look after him. Okay?”
“Thanks, Cath.” Sara said as the two women hugged. “I worry about him so much. He really needs all of us to look after him. Damn Ecklie.”
“Come on, Sara, we’d better get a move on.”
