Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves
Drab dancing. Fat flying. Sub-par singing. Brandy looked at Manoah and belted a line. Manoah looked at Brandy and did the equivalent. They joined together for the chorus. Eyes locking. Notes melting together. In the background, Elena and Theresa were doing the same.
Later that night, as Brandy rubbed Manoah's shoulders for her, Manoah asked if she had done well.
A kiss.
"You were great, ‘Noah."
More rubbing.
"My voice sounded rough."
A grin.
"It like it that way, though."
A glare.
"It sounded like I had whiplash, Brandy."
Another kiss.
"I know. You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t."
