A different beginning
Chapter 2
Melanie and Lindsay.

Fourteen year old Melanie marcus and Lindsay peterson lay back in sun chairs by the pool side in Melanie's back yard absorbing the sun. Melanie's turned to Lindsay and laughed as she told her "I can't get the image of the expression on you older sisters face when Damian dumped that horse shit all over her head, out of my head." Lindsay giggled gleefully and replied, "I told her not to bother him and that he wasn't interested in her that way." Lenett Peterson was a year older then both Melanie and Lindsay. Melanie added, "is it just me or does is it feel like homo vibes are seriously wafting of that guy in waves?" Lindsay snorted and said, "well put it this way, I caught him checking his best mates ass and package out the another day when he didn't think anyone was looking." Melanie snorted and shook her head.

Melanie and Lindsay had known each other since they were eleven and had been the best of friends ever since. Lindsay asked "so are we getting a lift to school in the morning from my mom or your mom?" Melanie shher her head and replied "it's my moms turn to take us this week." Melanie asked "so Linz are you staying for the weekend? Lindsay nodded yeah my mom and dad said I can as long as your parents are all right with it." Melanie got up out of her sun chair and stretched before suggesting "why don't we go and ask my mom and dad if it's ok with them." Melanie held out her hand for Lindsay to grab so she could pull herself up out of the sun chair. Both teens left the pool side and headed towards the back door of the house.

Melanie called out to her mother, "mom can Lindsay stay over for the weekend?" Alyson Marcus made her way down the stairs and told her daughter "I don't see why not, as long as your father and Lindsay's parents agree, then she is welcome to stay for the weekend." Both girl grinned widely. Lindsay continued to grinned as she told Alyson "my parents told me I could spend the weekend, as long as you and mr Marcus agreed. I asked them before I came over here this afternoon." Alyson nodded and turned to her only daughter and told her "Melanie dear why don't you go and ask your dad if it is ok for Lindsay stay here for the weekend. He is in the front garden digging up the weeds." Both girls nodded and ran towards the door to speak to Lewis Marcus.

Ten minutes later found Melanie sitting on Lindsay's bed while she grabbed her pyjamas and clothes for thekendkend, and her school uniform ready for school in the Monday morning. Melanie started to bounce up and down on Lindsay's bed as she told her best friend, That her mother and father had gotten her that film they had both gone to see back in February for her birthday on video. Lindsay grinned and told her "brilliant I've been waiting for the last four months to see it again. She added mom and dad said I can go and buy myself a copy this weekend when I get my pocket money." Melanie nodded, great that means I can watch it when I come over here without having to bring my own copy over." Lindsay took hold of her spare back pack with her pyjamas and clothes in then grabbed her school bag with her school supplies in and put one on each shoulder. She then grabbed her school uniform and shoes for Mo mor morning.

Both teens made there way downirs.irs. Lindsay told her parents she would see them Monday afternoon, after school. Her older sister bitched "where are you going? Lindsay replied with a smirk plastered across her face, I'm spending the weekend over at Mel's. What are you going to do lock yourself in the bathroom until you get rid of the smell of horse shit?" Mrs Peterson scolded her youngest "Lindsay Natalie Peterson watch your language." Lenett grinned gleefully and mouth the word ha ha. Lindsay waited until her parents weren't paying attention before beckoning her sister closer before whispering in her ear. "At least the guy I had a crus and and tried to hit on, didn't dump horse shit over my head." Lenett Peterson bristled with anger and humiliation. Lindsay couldn't resisted adding fuel to the already burning fire, "and besides you have the looks, and of course the intelligence of a horse, so I guess it's only fitting you should also smell like one."

Melanie held her hand over her month to stifle her laughter when Lenett shrieked with rage and stormed out of the living room and stomped up the stairs to her room. Lindsay and Melanie quickly exited the peterson residents before mr and mrs Peterson discovered what had caused their eldest daughters temper tantrum this time.
