Summary: Semi-Alternate version of Sympathy For The Demon - What if Paige had succeeded in finally freeing Cole from the Demonic side for good, while destroying Barbas (the Demon of Fear) in the process. What happens when Cole’s still in Love with a witch, but this time things are totally different? How will the Halliwells deal with the new situation that occurs! While Cole still find away to destroy the Charmed Ones even if done unintentionally?

A/N: Paige has stripped Cole of his powernd ind is going to break the news to her family…How will they react? What problems will arise? What will happen when things take an awkward twist?

PAIGE’S POV

I had no idea how to tell Phoebe or even Piper about this, after all the way they reacted when I defended Cole…that some part of him could actually be telling the truth, not manipulating his way back into our lives. I knew that Phoebe was just beginning to get back into the dating scene leaving all memories of him behind, and Piper well I don’t want to upset her or anything seeing as how she’s pregnant. Well it’s times like this I wish I could talk to Prue but ‘We’re not allowed to see her yet!’ I need to talk to someone, but who…Wait a minute…Why didn’t I think of it before?


“LEO!” I called out as loud as I could without drawing attention to myself. “Leo…It’s important I need to speak with you now!
“What’s going on Paige?” he replied with concern.
“Leo…I did something…Wonderful…I think!” I said with a hint of innocence.
“What did you do Paige?” Leo asked a bit troubled.
“Well I kina went behind Phoebe & Piper’s back and helped Cole!” I said.
“YOU DID WHAT!” he protested.
“Hey…keep your voice down!” as I led him to have a seat, “I think he’s demonically free permanently!”
“Did you vanquish him?” Leo asked, anxiously.
“No…even better. He’s 100% human…I think!” I said smiling nervously.
“What do you mean you think Page?” he asked, as he tensed up.
“That’s the problem, I tested him to see if he was demonic.” I spoke calmly, “But I need absolute proof, and I need help telling Piper and Phoebe!”
Leo began to protest, but I explained how I freed Cole and destroyed Barbas. Leo was proud yet still worried on how my sisters would take the news, also worried. Both Leo & I discussed how Cole was converted back to the dark side before but then I told him my plan on how we could know for sure. Leo almost lost his mind when I told him, but eventually he saw things my way! So Leo orbed to get consent from the Elders to put my plan in effect and I orbed to Cole.


I told Cole that although I believed him convincing the rest of them would be difficult, but I had a sure-fire way. When I told Cole I thought he would be ok, but the reaction I got was totally unexpected.


“WHAT?” he said astonished, “There’s no way I could ever see an Elder face to face I’m nothing but a mire mortal!” as he begin to tremble slightly.
“Cole, you aren’t just a mire mortal!” I spoke comfortingly “You’re a man who deserves the chance at a normal life, I’ll admit there have been some harsh things in your past but there have been so pretty descent moments too!”
“Paige I was the most Powerful Demon in the Underworld for over 100 years, to top it all off I was once The Source of all Evil!” he said regretfully.
“I understand, but I don’t think you need to remind others!” I said jokingly.
“I also tried to kill you!” he said in sadden, yet subtle voice.
“I know and I’ve tried to kill you, damn it Cole I have killed you!” I said as I looked him in the eyes, “But I’ve forgiven you, and I believe you!” as I rubbed his shoulder.
“Thanksge!”ge!” he said with teary eyes. We shared a glance and I felt something awaken in me. I didn’t know what to say or how to react, but apparently Cole felt t too. It was a chemistry if not passion that was between us, but how could I cross the line like that with Cole of all people. Don’t get me wrong he’s a great guy especially from the way he treated Phoebe when he wasn’t possessed. And from the way Phoebe use to speak of him among Piper & I always made me…


Just as I wboutbout to finish my thought I found the most luscious lips connecting with mine…It was so intense, and orgasmic that I just relaxed until I realized what was going on. I was about to pull away, but then I felt a serge of desire hit me I gave in for a moment and then pulled away. Cole hung his head down apologizing profusely, he walked over to the balcony and took in the view of the city. I told him it was all right It was just a spur of the moment type thing, just as he turned to respond Leo orbed in with news from the Elders!


“So what’s there decision Leo?” I asked quickly.
“Well they said he’s completely human!” Leo said with a smile, “The Elders said you can only bring him “Up There if your sisters need hard evidence.”
“Oh Thank God!” Cole said, happily.
“Well all that’s left is to tell Piper & Phoebe!” I replied staring at Leo, afraid to look Cole in the eyes.
“Well let’s orb!” Leo said, as all three prepared to return to the Manor.
Leo orbed first, leaving Cole and I to orb together. I slowly approached him taking his strong hand and headed to the Manor. We arrived to find both Piper & Phoebe in the kitchen, Leo had informed them that I had something to share with them.


“Wait, what is Cole doing here?” Piper asked a little shaken up!
“Honey he’s here because Paige, has to tell you guys something about him.” Leo said softly.
“WHAT IS IT NOW COLE!” Phoebe spoke, harshly. “What new scheme have you come up with this time to win me back!”
“He’s not here for you!” I replied, practically scoffing. Which caused everyone to give me some kind of look. “I meant just listen, Cole is human through & through!”
“WHERE HAVE I HEARD THEFOREFORE!” Phoebe spat, as she sipped her tea.
“Phoebe…” came a low, but firm voice from behind Paige. “Phoebe I’m not here for you I’m here to apologize and prove I’m no longer evil!” Phoebe was about to protest that’s when Cole kneein fin front of her and said something no one ever expected to here.


“Phoebe…I’m learning to get over you!” Cole said calmly, looking her in the eyes. “I never meant to hurt you, but now that I’m human I realized that us being together isn’t what we need…I was obsessed with you…all that I ask is that you all except me for the man I now am, and allow me to prove I can be trusted.”
“What!” Phoebe said, shocked beyond belief.
“All I want is to remain a member of this family!” he stated sincerely, “Because you all our the only real family I’ve ever known, and I want to amend all the wrong I’ve done.


Piper then told Cole that we need some time alone to think about it, and Cole complied as Leo orbed him back to the penthouse. Piper was conflicted, but decided if Phoebe was all right with it she would agree only once they she had solid proof. Phoebe was devastated not by Cole’s humanity, but because he was truly letting her go. Phoebe knew that the Cole that was demonic was no more, her empathic powers allowed her to see it. She thought that all the feelings she had fole ole were gone, but little did we know part of her was hurt by him moving on. I, on the other hand was glad that Cole was human and that he was moving on from Phoebe…But something in me was glad for all the wrong reasons…
