What To Do?

The girl was sitting across from Whitney a few months later. "I guess you have seen the headlines?"

Whitney nodded. "Serves him right for leaving me to be with her. I swore to him I would make his life a living hell if he went back to her and I did."

Jesse looked at Whitney. "What are you talking about sis?"

Whitney smiled. "His children disappearing. That was my doing. He is mine and always will be."

Jesse shook her head getting up and looking out the window. "Why can't you just let it go Whit? He doesn't love you and made that very obvious to you. First you try killing her, which only got you twenty five years in here. By the time you get out he isn't going to want you anyway. You should know this. Why can't you just let him go?"

Whitney glared at her sister. "Why? Because I love him. And you wanted Cody so what are you complaining about?"

Jesse spun. "Yeah I wanted Cody but not at the lengths you are going. Paulie deserves a family. You haven't seen him. I have. The other day in town they were sitting at the corner store eating lunch and a lady walked in with a baby and he started crying. How much more of this is it going to take for you to realize that he never expected you and him to last. He is torn up as well as Christy and Paul. They don't know if the kids are alive or dead. If they do die don't you think that it would destroy him even worse and once he finds out that you had a hand in it he will hate you more. The kids need their parents Whitney."

Whitney shrugged. "Well Jasmine and Shell seem to be raising them on their own perfectly fine. I get pictures and everything of my kids."

Jesse laughed. "Your kids? Whitney I don't know what world you are living in but you didn't carry them nor did you birth them. Paulie didn't choose you to mother them, he had picked her. I think that is your problem. You wanted the money."

Whitney smiled. "Not just the money and now he will hate her because the kids are gone."

Jesse stood up because her visitation was over. "I hope you are right girl."


The more Jesse thought about that conversation the more it made sense. Whitney had told her exactly where the kids were at. Now all she had to do was get them back for Paulie and pray that they were ok.

She called Whitney the next day. "Sis. We have a problem. Paulie is thinking that you had something to do with the kids and the cops are checking out everyone who knows you. It is only a matter of time before it is traced back to you. They have already been here so let me go and get them. They won't backtrack and I can bring them for a visit one day. Come on Whit. Your going to loose them if you don't."

Whitney of course, believed every word that Jesse said. She told her to call the other two girls on three way and then she told them to get everything for the twins and give the babies as well as their stuff to Jesse. In a few weeks they could get them back and they set up a time in which to get the kids. After Jesse hung up the phone she called Cody.

"Cody?"

"Yeah. Who is this?"

"It's Jesse. Whitney's sister. Please don't hang up. I need your help with something. Can I come pick you up in about an hour please. I know something important about Paulie's kids and you can't been seen with me. Please Cody. I know I haven't given you a chance but trust me. Don't call no one and tell them that I called. Please."

Cody could tell by her voice that she was serious and agreed. Jesse said she would be there in an hour and blow the horn. He said he would be ready and they hung up.


Jesse first went to Shell's house and picked up Mary. She made small talk with Shell and had everything loaded up in the back of her truck. Once she fastened Mary in she pulled off and rushed to Jasmine's to get Paul.

Jasmine's had everything ready and breaking close to the hours time she fastened Paul into the seat beside his sister. "I am going to stay in a motel until everything is calmed down. I don't want to take any chances so if Whitney calls tell her everything is ok and I will bring the kids in a few days ok?"

Jasmine's nodded and shut the door and Jesse drove over to Cody's. Cody got in the truck and froze as he looked in the back seat. "I will explain it whenever we get to Paulie's. Call them and tell them all to go home along with Sr."

Cody nodded and did as he was asked. Within thirty minutes they were pulling into Paulie's driveway and they got out. Cody got Paulie and Jesse got Mary. She took a deep breath and nodded. They walked up to the front door and walked inside. Paulie was on the couch with Christy and both turned whenever Vinnie gasped. Jesse tried to smiled. "Will you and Paul please go get everything out of my truck. I will explain." They handed the babies over to their parents and Jesse nibbled her lip as she watched the both of them cry.


A few minutes later she was standing looking out the window and then turned to the room. "Please let me finish before you say anything and then you can do whatever you see necessary. Over the past few visits with Whitney I noticed she was acting strange. She never openedly talked to me about anything until today. Once the kids had vanished her entire mood changed. Yesterday I confronted her over you Paulie and the entire thing came out. About her plans. I stated point blank you wouldn't want anything to do with her and then she came right out directly and told me who had the kids. She had them split up. The more I thought about it, the more it tore me up that my own sister would go to this extent to try to get you. It was then I made up this huge lie about the cops looking for the kids and they had checked my house already, looking at persons she knew. I told her it was only a matter of time before they checked where the kids was and talked her into letting me take them. I had to bring them back to you guys. I guess I am just lucky that my big sister believes anything I tell her. I brought Cody because I was scared you would try to say I knew about it or that I had a hand in it. I just want you to know that if I did then I would have stopped it before it started. No parent deserves to loose their child. I am sorry that you both were in so much pain but I guess I could only bring them back to you. Now that is explained do what you think is right." She turned and looked back out the window and was surprised whenever Cody came over and wrapped his arms around her.

"Jesse. I know it is no secret that you like me. This today proved that you are more than worthy of my love. In all these years you have known the Teutul's, I am surprised that you would even think they would call the cops on you. Today you proved just how much of a friend you want to be to them. You did something kind. Something your sister wouldn't know nothing about. Yeah the cops are going to have to be called but you have to state what you know." He turned to the room. "I don't know about you guys but I think Jesse has changed from when we first met her." He led her over to the couch and Vinnie called the cops. Christy handed Mary over to Jamie and bent down in front of Jesse.

"Hey look at it this way. You kidnapped them back for us. I know in my heart you had nothing to do with this or you would not have brought them back. You do realize everyone is going to hate you that had something to do with it right?"

Jesse nodded her head and breathed a sigh of relief as Cody nuzzled her hair. " I just wanted to do what was right. She threatened me before about what she would do to you. I was so scared because she threatened me if I didn't go along with the whole thing. I am sorry Christy."

"What are you sorry for Jesse? You have done nothing wrong. Besides I have a feeling now that Jamie is pregnant I am going to need someone to help me with the twins So if it is ok with Paulie I would like for you and Cody to move in here with us to make it easier and you can be protected. What do you say honey?"

Paulie nodded his head in agreement and Jesse then turned to go and talk to the cops. Cody walked up and laid his hand on Paulie's shoulder. "Thanks dude."

Paulie nodded. "Anytime Cody. Any time."


A/N: I don't know how much more longer this story is going to be. It would be nice to have my readers to tell me if you think it should end now or should it continue. I would really like to know what you all think.
