ch 19
“Sara.” He yelled as he walked in the door.
Sara came walking out of the bedroom with the screaming child.
“She is teething, I’m sure. She hasn’t settled down since she woke up.”
“Did you give her some Baby Tylenol?”
“I’m not stupid, Grissom.”
“I didn’t say you were.”
“Listen Sara, I have something I want to discuss with you.”
“I’m not in the mood.”
“It’s important, please.”
“Leave me alone. I don’t feel well and she has been screaming for hours.”
“Sara, please.” He touched her arm.
“Don’t touch me. Leave me alone.” She screamed.
She passed him the screaming baby and went in the bedroom. The door slammed behind her.
“What did I do?” He asked Sam knowing she wouldn’t answer her.
He put his finger in her mouth to feel for teeth and the baby quieted down as she chewed on his finger.
He retreated to the nursery and lay down with her.
Sara lay on the bed in their bedroom crying. What just happened? What have I done? I didn’t mean to do that, not to Gil.
I didn’t mean to say that. I do want him to touch me, forever. Now I screwed it up.
Sara wiped her face and sat up. “I need to find Gil.”
She walked out and looked on the couch. He wasn’t there. His keys were there so he wasn’t gone in the truck.
She looked in Sam’s room and saw Grissom lying in the bed beside the crib. Sam was asleep in her crib.
Sara approached the bed and knelt before him.
“Griss.” She whispered.
“Sara?”
“Yes sweetie. I’m so sorry.”
She kissed him softly.
“Gil, please come to our room.” Sara pleaded.
He stood up.
“I’m so sorry about earlier. I don’t know what came over me.”
“It’s okay. I need to talk to you though.”
“Not now, later.”
“Why later?”
“I want you to make love to me right now, can you do that?”
