Chapter 20
A/N: This is the continuing of the scene from before . . . and it too is kind of short. I'm going to try writing another chapter . . . and I hope to be able to promise you it won't take another three years to post . . . :D

“What do you mean?” Jason frowned.
“Well, I was just thinking, I mean what do we know about Ardaxia?”
“Almost nothing,” Kimberly answered. “Other than they’re a matriarchal society with a queen and a lying piece of crap of a prince . . .”
“No argument from me about the prince, but we don’t even know for sure that it is a Matriarchal society,” Aisha corrected. “All we have to go on is what we saw briefly on the broadcast, and drew our conclusions from that.”
“Aisha and Adam are right,” Rocky said. “And when we tried to look it up on the Command Canter’s computer system, it couldn’t tell us much more than what we had already seen, except that it was a very insular planet despite the fact it was always declaring war on its neighbors. Also, they were, and probably still are, a warrior-like society as a whole, and they have, or at least, had, no ties to any kind of planetary alliance. In fact, the only concrete thing the computer had about the planet, was that despite its inhospitable surface, the people have made a massive and sophisticated underground society to the point they were able to survive and thrive.”
“So, what was your thought, Adam?” Tommy asked.
“I think we should stop at Aquitar and see what they can tell us about the Ardaxians. After all, they’ve been enemies for a long time. I bet the Aquitians could better prepare us for what we’ll find when we get to Ardaxia.”
“If there’s any Aquitians left,” Kimberly reminded him. “Remember the transmission to Zordon. The Ranger said the surface water had been evaporated and they were dying by the hundreds. The planet could be completely destroyed for all we know.”
“Even so,” Zack said. “There may be some kind of records we can take a look at. I think Adam’s got a valid point. I really don’t like the idea of going into that kind of situation blindly.”
“And we won’t do Billy much good if we get ourselves killed because we didn’t have enough information,” Aisha nodded.
“You know, you could have brought this up in the Center,” Jason said, and Adam shrugged.
“I didn't think about it in the Center. All I was thinking about was helping Billy,” Adam sounded embarrassed.
“Don’t feel too badly about that, Adam. None of us really took the lack of information into account,“ Tommy spoke up. “In fact, this shows just how long we’ve been out of the action. We were thinking like friends, rather than Power Rangers. As Billy’s friends, and as Power Rangers, we can do him more good by gathering intelligence before going in with our guns blazing.”
“If we actually had any guns to blaze,” Kimberly couldn’t help but chuckle, and Tommy nodded.
“Point taken,” he said with a smile. “But getting back to my point, I realize that it may take a little longer to get to Billy than we planned, but I also know that whatever information we get is going to put us in a much better position to negotiate Billy’s release and/or rescue, rather than try and physically force it.”
“As Billy would say, ‘Brains first, brawn last‘,” Aisha smiled, and Tommy grinned.
“Exactly,” he answered.
“I’ll inform Alpha of our delay,” Zack said, and as he did, for a long while, no one spoke.
“It would probably be a good idea to put the ships on auto-pilot and get some sleep,” Tommy suggested after a while. “As noted, we have been out of things for a while, and though we’ve all kept physically fit, we could do with a few extra hours of sleep.”
“Especially after working so hard to get these ships ready,” Jason agreed, and one by one, they put the ships on auto, and rested.
