Jim Brass met Grissom at the amusement park.
“You got suckered into bringing the girls, egh?” Jim laughed.
“I offered, besides I wanted to talk to you without Sara.”
“Why?”
“I want to adopt Amy. You are one of my few Male friends, very few. I also know about Ellie.”
“Does Sara know you want to adopt her?”
“No. She asked me to look into changing her name to Sidle.”
“So change it.” Jim added.
“I would, but I don’t want to have to change it again when we get married.”
“Have you discussed the idea of marriage with Sara?”
“No.”
“You had better. You know Sara.”
“I know, but I want for her to adopt Sam, too. That little girl loves her. I’m sure she doesn’t remember Amanda. Sara is the only mother she has ever known.”
“Gil, talk to Sara. I didn’t have to adopt Ellie. I just passed her off as mine. I knew the difference; the Ex thought I was stupid.”
“Jim, would you mind bringing the girls home when they are finished?”
“Sure, why?”
“I need to go talk to Sara.”
“Good luck. She knows how to cover up a murder.”
Grissom laughed.
