Ferris Wheel
Kara comes bouncing down the stairs.
“ You sure look chipper today”.
“ Clark I just got in the result of my test I took in Professor Brandon room , and I passed with flying colors”.
“ Kara colors can’t fly”.
Vesta thugged on his jeans.
“ Daddy yes they can”.
“ They flew the other day when I was cranky, and threw my box of crayons across the loft.”
Clark looked down at Vesta .
“ Oh so that is why I found some crayon scatter in the loft”.
“ Daddy, I thought I picked them all up”.
He picked her up.
“ Well speaking of being cranky”, he looked at his watch I think it is time for you to take a nap”.
“ Where do you want me to take it?” Kara Laughs,
“ Kara she doesn’t need encouragement”.
He jokingly said ,
“ I’m going to toss your little bottom out in the cornfield somewhere, and that were you’ll take a nap”.
She started kissing him on the cheek.
“ That not going to work with me”.
He tossed her like a sack of potatoes over his shoulder, and carried her off to bed .
“ Okay she is out like a light”.
“ Clark I’ve got something to do in town, so I’ll see you later tonight”.
“ Okay Kara see you than”
An hour later Lois came in the front door.
“ The Metropolis fair is in town , and guess who has been deemed to cover the big annual event”.
“ Yours truly, and I was wondering if the little pixie could go”?
“ Lois I don’t care”.
“ She’ll be up from her nap in a few minutes”.
Lois sets down on the couch , and a minutes later Clark hears Vesta coming down the stairs.
“ Hey Lois”.
“ Hey pixie your daddy said you can go to the Metropolis fair with me.”
The fair was already packed.
The smell of corndogs , and popcorn feel the air.
“ Lois I want to ride the Ferris wheel first”.
Vesta stepped up to the height chart”.
“ Sorry little lady your not tall enough”, but there is a kiddy wheel over there the man pointed across the way”.
Lois , and Vesta stood there for a few minutes watching the Ferris Wheel go up , and around , but on the third interval one of the carriages started to swing, and suddenly came crashing down.
Lois was in shocked, and so were the other bystanders.
Vesta had caught in her arms a boy thrown from the carriage.
The boy looked at Vesta in disbelief , but was grateful.
Lois sweep up Vesta in her arms, and covered her from the flashing cameras.
Clark was sitting on the couch watching the news when a breaking story hit the airways .
There was vesta catching the boy in her arms.
He speed out of the house.
“ How many time have I told you too get them camera out of her face”.
“ All she had was a adrenaline rush”.
A minute later Lois saw Clark coming in the entrance.
“ Daddy”, Vesta held out her arms.
Cameras still flashing aimlessly.
Clark takes Vesta from Lois.
“ Smallville it happen so fast one minute we’re watching the Ferris Wheel , and the next Vesta was holding that boy in her arms”.
Lois pointed toward the boy standing by his parents .
He looked to be about twelve years old.
Clark walked over to the boy.
“ It a miracle your daughter saved my son life”, said the boy's mother.
