Chapter Fifteen

His Name in the Green

Flora Winters

I do not own Smallville or any of its amazing characters. I also do not own the idea of Poison Ivy. She is one of my favorite villains of all time.

Summary: A young botanist has a little accident in his green house and later sees Smallville ripe for the greening. This will have male/male parings, so if you don’t like it, don’t read it. There will also be some very strong language, just because I like using it.

Chapter Fifteen

I want to love you
But I better not touch
I want to hold you
But my senses tell me to stop
I want to kiss you
But I want it too much
I want to taste you
But your lips are venomous poison
You’re poison running through my veins
You’re poison
I don’t want to break these chains

-Alice Cooper

The gorgeous redhead glided through the poisonous mist towards his prey. Oh, he thought he was never going to be able to get away from Clark. That boy was like the energizer bunny. He kept going, and going, and going, and going, and going…and now he was stuck like a record. Well, isn’t this just lovely? No, not really.

He had waited all day to get at this murdering bastard. This son of a bitch had destroyed a thousand year old forest to make cardboard. Cardboard! He cut down all of those beautiful trees just to make some lousy, goddamn cardboard!

“Come here,” Dustin shouted through the poison green mist, “Before I really get cross with you James.”

“Stay away from me,” the CEO for Bigger and Better shouted and coughed, “Stay the hell away from me, you monster!”

“A monster am I,” Dustin laughed, echoing all around, dripping like a sweet honey venom, “Perhaps you would like to see just how monstrous I can be…”

James took off running across the garden with green mist swirling all around him, only for the metal doors to slam shut with poison green vines coiling all around it, daring him to just try it. He spun away, gagging, feeling his lungs beg for air

“What did that forest do to deserve that horror,” Dustin roared.

James stumbled back only for the vines to suddenly grab him, holding him prisoner.

“No,” he cried out. Why did he have to give his security the day off? He was too young to die like this.

“You know,” Dustin chuckled as be breathed in the poisonous mist, “My touch, my kiss is even deadlier than what you’re experiencing right now?”

In a snap of vines, he was looming into the older man’s handsome face.

“Just one tiny scratch from one of my nails,” Dustin chuckled coldly as he playfully poked him on the nose, making him mew, “And you would be dead in a matter of moments.”

He ran his poisonous white hands across that buff chest that told him that this worm really enjoyed working out at the gym. James trembled, when those deadly hands massaged his muscular arms, grazing across exposed tan flesh.

“A millionaire by 24,” Dustin smiled with pearly white teeth, “Tell me something, James.”

Those scared brown eyes looked into those glowing lime green ones, whose depths were as poisonous as the mist he was forced to breathe, “What?”

“What were you doing when that forest was being destroyed,” Dustin asked in a whisper.

James suddenly broke out into a sweat, and it made the redheaded god laugh like a death knell.

“Come, come now,” Dustin said as he touched the man’s soft pink lips, “Tell me what you were doing as those trees died.”

James felt as though his lungs were burning away. It was hard to get a breath. Those vines were squeezing around his chest like serpents, and his eyes were all blurry and teary. Was there snot running from his nose?

“Tell me,” Dustin shrieked right in his face, “Tell me, or I’ll kill you now!”

“Fucking,” he yelled out and his throat burned at the effort, “I was fucking one of my toys while your precious trees fell and screamed on their merry way down!”

Dustin drew his head back in astonishment. This guy must really want to die. How very…stupid.

“You humans always think of nothing but yourselves,” he whispered as he drew away from the man, “The Green is dying because of you. You’re all like a cancer. You destroy everything you see.”

“Who gives a fuck,” James rasped, “You only live once, might as well make your mark!”

Dustin spun back around and looked at him, and those brown eyes were wide with horror. The beauty that stood before him was radiant, brilliant, blinding, sharp, deadly, poisonous, God.

Dustin slashed a nail across a sweaty golden cheek, “And I just made mine, James.”

James gasped and suddenly began to convulse. The cut across his cheek started to drip a poisonous green, and the color spread through his veins.

Dustin watched him as he died a very painful death.

James’ body slumped over in the vines and Dustin chuckled, “Fool.”

The vines released him and his body fell to the floor with a thud. The body began to melt into a pile of fleshy soup right then and there.

“One less cancerous cell to have to deal with,” Dustin laughed.

The best thing about his poison was that it was completely untraceable. It just seems to leave the body. He did not have the time to study why it did that, but it was really neat. It made killing all the more fun.

He ordered the poison green mist to dissipate. It was as if his hair just soaked it right back in.

He had the plants make the ground open up to swallow the corpse. The plants slithered towards him to lovingly caress him. He smiled and gently ordered them to return to their normal state. He promised them that soon they would be free to grow as wild as they wanted. Their voices were filled with happiness.

He left the bastard’s greenhouse humming to the tune that was playing on the radio.

“I’m poison,” Dustin sang to himself, “I’m poison running through your veins.”

“Hey, Lex,” Clark said walking into his hospital room, “I was so worried when Chloe called me. How are you?”

“I’m good,” Lex said with a frown, “I would be better if you could explain to me why I shut down my plant, and what I did with 100 million dollars.”

Clark cocked his head to the side, “Say what?”

“Exactly,” Lex said, “I think I’ve snapped, Clark.”

“You shut down the plant,” Clark asked in horror, “Why would you do such a thing? The people of Smallville depend on that plant, Lex. They have families.”

“I know,” Lex said, “I can’t remember anything, Clark.”

“Lionel,” Clark hissed, “Even when he’s blind, he’s always finding a way to mess with you.”

“And 100 million dollars is missing,” Lex said, “And I have no way of finding out where it went. It’s just gone, Clark.”

“Are you poor,” Clark asked.

Lex snorted, “No…but that’s 100 million dollars, Clark.”

Clark shrugged, “What were you doing before all this happened?”

“That’s just the thing,” Lex said with a frown, “I don’t remember.”

“Where is Lionel,” Clark asked him.

“I don’t know,” Lex said, “He was here earlier and he left…but not without running into the door.”

Clark rolled his eyes, “Sorry I missed that.”

“It was funny,” Lex said, “And he is so mad at me.”

“Why,” Clark asked, “This is obviously his doing.”

“I’m not so sure, Clark,” Lex said, “My dad would never do anything to hurt me physically.”

Clark frowned, “Are you so sure?”

“I know my dad, Clark,” he said, sitting up, “He would never hurt me like this.”

“Chloe told me you had to have a blood transfusion,” Clark said, looking at all the bandages on his body.

“It was like someone had taken razors and slashed me up,” Lex said.

Clark suddenly frowned. He shut down the plant, lost 100 million dollars, had deep razor cuts here and there, and could not remember anything.

“Why are you looking at me like that,” Lex asked, with narrowed eyes.

“Why didn’t you come to me,” Clark asked.

Lex’s eyes became slits, “What the hell are you talking about…oh, no! I did not try to kill myself, Clark.”

Clark nodded, “Okay.”

“Why did you say it like that,” Lex asked.

“I’m just agreeing with you,” Clark said.

“Why do you have to agree with me so sarcastically,” Lex asked, really getting upset.

“I don’t do sarcasm,” Clark said, taking a seat.

“And you had this little half nod, that totally tells me that you don’t believe a word that’s coming out of my mouth,” Lex roared.

“I believe that you believe the words that are coming out of your mouth,” Clark said.

Lex opened his mouth and then shut it. He just sat there, looking at the silent Farmboy for a few seconds. Oh, how he wanted to get up and smack him. But, that would probably rip his IV out and he would faint.

“Someone did this to me, Clark,” Lex hissed, “And it was not my dad.”

Clark nodded, “Okay.”

“There you go again,” Lex yelled.

Clark rolled his eyes, “You should really calm down.”

“I am calm,” Lex roared, “This is me being calm!”

“If this is you being calm,” a flowery voice came from the door, “I’d hate to see what you’re like when you’re dead.”

Smoky gray and emerald green orbs turned to the stunning figure in the doorway.

“Dustin,” Clark smiled, getting to his feet, “Where have you been?”

“I had to go shopping for some things for my greenhouse,” he smiled warmly at his boyfriend, “And how is our resident megalomaniac?”

Lex narrowed his eyes at the redheaded beauty before him.

Clark snorted and walked over to hug him, “Feisty.”

Lex’s shoulders slumped, “I’m too tired to deal with you and your wit at the moment, Clark.”

“I’m sorry,” Clark said, turning to face him, “It’s a defense mechanism of mine. I get like this when I’m really scared or nervous.”

“Or, you just run away,” Dustin thought to himself, but that’s over now.

“I’ll be going home later,” Lex said, as he made himself comfortable, “Why don’t you come see me then? That way, I can beat your ass at pool for the hell you’ve just put me through.”

“Okay,” Clark said, walking over to hug him, which totally caught Lex off guard, “I’ll do that.”

Dustin watched this little interaction with a hidden smile. Clark really cared for this man. Perhaps he will not kill the bald man…for Clark’s sake.

“Come on,” Clark said, taking Dustin by the hand, “Let’s go to my place.”

“Clark,” Lex called after him, “You need to be careful about that public display of affection. Some people will not like it.”

Both boys looked down at their hands.

“Don’t worry,” Clark smiled at him, “We’ll be careful.”

Dustin nodded, “You get better. You mean a lot to Clark.”

The door closed behind them, leaving him all alone in his cold hospital room. When he said people, he meant himself. He did not like this at all. He wanted to be the one holding Clark’s hand. But, as long as Clark is happy…then he would just suffer in silence. It is what he is good at.

Dustin Thorn is just too beautiful for his own good. That really had Lex wondering, because Dustin made him slightly hard whenever he was around. He wondered if any man or woman could resist such beauty…and that voice. He did not want to like Dustin in that way, but his body had other ideas.

The young man was flawless, gorgeous, beautiful, sexy, slim, smart, sarcastic, and perfect in every damn way.

He pushed the red button.

“Yes,” a nurse’s voice asked.

“I need a shower,” Lex said, thinking, “A cold one.”

“Umm,” the nurse said, “I’ll send someone in to help you with that, Mr. Luthor.”

“Thank you so much,” Lex said, leaning back into his pillow.

“How did you know that I was here,” Clark asked as they both got onto the empty elevator.

“I asked a tree, who spoke with a bush, who spoke to some honeysuckle,” Dustin smiled and wrapped his arms around the bigger man’s waist, “So, I can always find where you are.”

Clark smiled, “Are you serious?”

Dustin nodded, “The Green speaks to me, Clark. I can hear their voices, and they are beautiful.”

“You’re beautiful,” Clark said, and kissed his vibrant red lips, “And you smell better than any flower.”

Dustin grinned at the compliment, “Where are we going?”

“I thought we could stop by my place,” Clark said, as the elevator door opened, “And maybe go see Mrs. Dawn.”

Dustin actually liked that idea. He wanted to see Clark’s farm.

“Okay,” he said with a smile, “Let’s go.”

“I love being myself when I’m with you,” Clark said as the two walked out the doors, “I feel so free.”

“There is nothing like being free, Clark,” Dustin said as he spun around in the bright sunlight, “Being wild and untamable…there is no greater freedom.”

“Come on,” Clark said, leading him over to where there were no people, and picked him up.

Dustin smiled as the wind whipped around him. He held on tightly to Clark’s corded neck. The world just seemed to blur by him.

He leaned into Clark’s protective embrace and closed his eyes as the world spun around him.
