Chapter 16

Okay I need sleep. I have to get up at 4am and my gremlin made me type. My eyes are going buggy on me and I hope you like this chapter. And yes there will be more Chris, Wyatt action, just maybe not direct. I can still do flashbacks, spells and oh, solo. So don’t you worry. And the gremlin is so happy he went to bed after he ate. He says he has a full tummy and wants to sleep. He thanks you all.

Now * sheepishly looks down * um sorry, no smut.

Chapter 16

Chris formed in the attic of the museum. Since his little escapade it had been closed off so that Wyatt could work here. Quickly scanning the area he was glad that his symbol was still on the wall. One less thing to do. Quickly he started looking for the floor board. If there was any chance of finishing what he had started it lied in his mother’s wisdom. Quickly he readjusted himself to the slightly different layout of the museum and saw the board. He was half way there when Wyatt shimmered in front of him.

“Are you insane?” The ruler was pissed. Twice Chris had made a fool of him and now he was short one very powerful dark lighter. Wyatt couldn’t, didn’t want to believe that his spell was gone. Chris had been happy. Hell he had been enthusiastic. “What happened?”

“Ah what your little spell didn’t work that long. What are you going to do now Wyatt, beat me?” Chris was letting his anger seep into his words and saw Wyatt flinch at the last ones.

“Care to tell me why?” What would it take to get Chris back?

“My spell. It’s still working. Even stripped my powers may take a few minutes to clean one of yours out of me but it still works. Doesn’t matter what you do because that spell it here to stay.”

Wyatt glared at the younger witch. How dare he defy him. Wyatt was both his ruler and elder brother. He was both lover and guardian. He had protected and cherished Chris and this is how he was being repaid? “Chris if anyone had done what you did they’d be dead now. I have given you countless opportunities to forget about your stupid mission and come home. I thought you had. Why are you trying to destroy us!?”

Chris stood speechless as he saw the tears roll down Wyatt’s face unchecked. His brother didn’t cry. Wyatt never cried anymore. Crying was what Chris did. Crying meant something happened so terrible that you don’t think your powers can help you.

Slowly Wyatt walked towards Chris. Gently he took his little brother’s face in his hands. “I love you. Don’t leave me.”

Chris watched with confusion as Wyatt continued to silently cry. Wyatt moved his palm to cover Chris’ cheek and pull his face closer for a kiss.

Lips.

Cheek.

Nose.

Forehead.

Wyatt wanted more but knew Chris would deny him. Moving his face back Wyatt smiled when he saw Chris’ eyes were closed enjoying the touches. “Stay. Don’t leave me like the rest did.”

Chris moved his face so he could kiss Wyatt’s palm. Slowly he moved into Wyatt welcoming embrace and wrapped his arms around his brother. He knew better then Barbus Wyatt’s greatest fear.

Alone. With no one that loved him. No one that cared if he lived or died. No one left of their great family. Chris kissed each of Wyatt fingers moving his own hands over his brother’s. “I will never leave you. Not truly. I have to…”

Wyatt cut him off with a sharp slap. Chris landed hand on the floor and starred wide eyed at his brother. “You belong to me. You are coming home.” Wyatt was shaking with anger that Chris could even think or worse try to rationalize betraying him, again! Slowly Chris felt the tender skin. His cheek was burning from Wyatt’s powerful hit and he couldn’t understand what just happened. Slowly his mind refocused and in a grave voice asked why he didn’t expect it? Wyatt had been very unpredictable his whole life. Pissed off was going to up that a few notches.

Wyatt began pacing in front of Chris in between him and his only hope of…anything, possibly even living now. “I…I don’t know what to do Chris. I give you everything you could want. You just…” He turned to Chris half glaring half confused. “Do you blame me for her death? Do you hate me because I couldn’t stop Leo?” Softly Chris shakes his head no looking up at his brother. “I wanted to. I was trying to save you. I thought I could find out from him what happened to the other.”

Wyatt stopped and stood looking down at Chris laying on the floor. His clothes were back to angelic. A white dress shirt and faded light blue jeans. The only thing out of place was that he was wearing runners. Wyatt remembered Chris hated shoes. He used to love to run bear foot through the grass and was constantly reprimanded by their mother for getting grass stains on the carpet.

Dropping to his knees in front of Chris he pleaded with his love. “Name it and it’s yours Chris. Just tell me what you want and I will give it to you on a silver platter.” Grabbing the wondering boy by the shoulder Wyatt roughly shook him. “Name it!”

Wyatt could barely hold himself in check. Chris was starring at him in absolute fear. He wanted to kiss the feeling away and take him. Part of him wanted to comfort and sooth the tremors from his body while the other wanted to pound him against the attic floor. To make him whither and moan until he says he will never leave again. Chris moved his mouth to work but no sound came out Wyatt pulled him closer to try and hear what his young lover was too afraid to say any louder. What ever it was Wyatt would gladly give Chris ten. “You,”

Smiling Wyatt moved to kiss those beautiful lips right in front of him as they spoke a bit louder. “Innocent again.”

Smiling even more delighted he kissed the soft petals of lips and tried to slide his tongue in when he met Chris’ teeth. Wyatt pulled back and glared softly at his cherub. “You want to be innocent again. Tell me the spell.” He was only answered with a tired shake of Chris’ head. “ Then what is it?”

“I want you innocent.’

Wyatt slowly stood up glaring at the treacherous child. Chris eyes watched him rise with for once in his life no emotion. Wyatt wanted this Chris banished to the furthest reaches of hell. He wanted his cherub back in the form and mind he belonged and he didn’t want to run around this circle for the ninetieth time tonight, alone. “What do you mean you want me to be innocent again?”

“I want you to be like you were before you killed the Elders. Before you became all knowing, all powerful, all ruling. I want my brother back.”

“I am still your brother. And I am much more Chris. In any other world we couldn’t be together. This is the first life time where our selves could be so close. You saw it yourself with your powers and told me. Do you remember how happy you were? Your vision had shown us our past together. That as each life past we grew closer until they had to make us blood to try to keep us apart. The Elders knew we would be truly powerful together. We are gods compare to them.”

“False gods.”

“I don’t care. In ever life time that has past I have always looked after you and I am not about to stop now Chris. I won’t lose you. Our destiny is together.”

Calmly Chris stood and leveled his eyes to Wyatt’s. His bother’s appearance was so strange from the norm. Wyatt’s cheeks were tear stained while Chris’ were dry. Wyatt was full of emotions while Chris calmly took in what his brother was saying. It was destiny that they loved each other. It was destiny that was trying to bring them together for some purpose. Chris hated destiny.

It had killed their mother, aunts their entire line on all sides of their family. Mortal, angel, witch, all was dead. It tried to control you and then shoved as apocalypse in your face if you tried to fight it.

“I make my own destiny.” Wyatt knew he shouldn’t have said that word. Chris was known for killing demons who mentioned that word while he was happy innocent Chris. Wyatt understood easily how Chris would reach violently to a simple seven letter word. Both of them were now getting worked up and Wyatt knew he had to calm down. If not he would end up doing something rash and regret it for the rest of eternity.

“Where one goes the other will follow Chris. Our souls are interlocked. They will always roam together and I will not be left half dead without you.” Calming himself Wyatt needed to explain some things to Chris. He needed to control this.

“By the was how did Dominic get shimmering? He’s a dark lighter. I wasn’t expecting to get it from the atheme but it was easier to initiate then dark orbing.”

Shaking his head at Chris total off topic question Wyatt rubbed his eyes and remembered that this was Chris. This was his norm. “I gave it to him. For kill…getting rid of a threat. You already had shimmering and so did I. He appreciated it and used it while in my service.”

“Oh.” Wyatt started to laugh at the innocents of Chris’ question. It was so off handily asked that Wyatt wanted to ask Chris what he wanted for dinner tonight. But couldn’t. Not until he was safe at home.

“Chris, please, you need to stop. You need to let me look after you. You can stay anyway you want. But just stay.” Wyatt eyes were tired as he watched his little brother.

“No.” Wyatt tried to control his temper. He had begged. He had pleaded. He had rationalized for the last time. If Chris went back he was gone forever.

They had never found him after. Piper, Leo, everyone, including him had looked in all planes of existence and had never found Chris after he died. Wyatt didn’t want that fate for his cherub. If he couldn’t convince him t stay then…maybe he could save him one last way.

With a flick of Wyatt’s hand Bianca appeared. She wasn’t used to being summoned that way and had to take a moment to catch her bearings. “Fine Chris you want me to be evil. You leave, she dies. Simple. Chose.”

“Leave her out of this.”

Wyatt lifted his hand and cut off his brother’s air. Part of him grew hard seeing Chris drop to his knees chocking on his own flesh. Part of his wanted to finish this once and for all. “Pardon me.”

Wyatt flicked his wrist and sent him flying into an old dresser. He hated seeing Chris in pain but if he had to beat Chris into staying alive here he would, or the alternative would be needed.

Bianca screamed for Chris and ran over to him. Wyatt watched with jealously as she tried to talk sense into the half Elder. Wyatt half hoped she could, half knew that no one could. All of a sudden Chris was running at him. Not even trying to call out the bow that he would have received from the power sucking atheme he had used on the dark lighter.
Wyatt effortlessly tossed his trough another table. “Have you lost your mind?” Maybe Chris had? Wyatt contemplated all the spells done on his cherub’s mind, to warp or wipe memories until he was pure and happy. Chocking Chris with his power Wyatt realized, he had lost. Anyway you looked at it he knew if Chris lived to see anything out side of this room it would be the past. His doom. This was the last thing he could do to protect his cherub. If he could do it.

A Chris rose in the air gasping for breath that would mot make its way past Wyatt’s hold, Wyatt formed an energy ball. He hated seeing Chris eyes and knew that he was lying to himself as he charged it further and tried to convince himself he could do this.

“I don’t need you.” To be lost. He prepared to throw the energy ball directly at his brother’s chest. It would stop his heart and send him to their mother. Then he would at least know that Chris was happy. Wyatt would know that his soul was at peace.

Bianca’s hand jammed into his back and Chris dropped to the floor. Wyatt heard her say something and tried to scream at her to stop. To tell her that she was destroying Chris. He didn’t want to see what the next life time would be without him. With out his cherub beside him. Wyatt can just see down where Chris ran to. The old floorboard that always squeaked and demanded attention. No, his mind screamed. That can’t be the reason their mother never wanted it fixed. That can’t be why she lived with a sad smile when it moaned under someone’s foot and never had it repaired.

He felt Chris’ powers probably before the cherub even could register they were back. A few extra added from the demon and Wyatt knew he only had a few moments. One last chance to save his cherub. Ignoring the pain that was coursing like fire over his entire body Wyatt kicked back and threw Bianca away from him. When his eyes focused on Chris he felt the wave of power rush forward from his brother’s arm and then hit the ceiling. The lamps broke and all light faded from Wyatt’s world.

Slowly Wyatt came too. His world wanted to stay dark but he had to save Chris. He was by the book reading the damn spell. Wyatt knew he had been out for about two minutes for Chris to summon it and find his spell.

“Please.” Chris looked up from the book at his bother. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” Chris’ face hardened. “That’s why I’m going to save you.”

“Hear these words he the rime. Heed the hope within my mind.”

Quickly Chris ducked from the energy ball his brother threw at his head. He was always better at dodging hits then taking them.

“Send me back to where I’ll find what I wish in Space and time.”

Quickly the portal formed. Wyatt turned to his nightmare and noticed Chris start to make for it. Another energy ball was dodged and Chris was through the portal. A fire ball exploded a moment after it closed against the wall that Wyatt had hoped would follow his brother and finish him.

All hope was gone. Chris was gone.

Quietly and cautiously Wyatt moved over to watch Bianca. The witch would be dead in another minute and she knew it. He face was resolved to face whatever judgment she was to and burn in hell for her sins. With a flick of his wrist he was no longer impaled and Wyatt knelt down and healed her. Her face only showed confusion for the kind act until Wyatt’s hand wrapped around her slender throat. Squeezing with only half of his strength he watched with malice as she tried to get him off of her. Wyatt quickly sat down on her hips to hold her in place so he could enjoy watching her die. She had took everything away form him. He had lost everything. She took his heart form him.
