Chapter 14
AN: I dont know if the scenes I'm using from the season 8 finale are all in order I tried my best to put them in order but I can't remember exactly how they went and the clips i've seen on youtube and other such websites have them all mixed up so if some scenes screwy sry but tried to fit them as perfectly as i could hope u enjoy story so far please read, rate, review and so on k
Chapter 14
A few hours later after Lois had had her moment with the Red Blue Blur found one Jimmy Olsen breaking into Tess Mercer’s office. Tess Mercer was the new owner of everything Luthor Corp which also meant the Daily Planet. He had an ear piece as if from a blue tooth phone and was talking to Oliver.
“I’m in.”
“Do you have the decryption key?” Oliver’s voice asked.
“Yeah,” Jimmy replied.
“Well, I hope you have more luck than I did. Call me when you have Chloe’s location,” and with that Oliver disconnected.
Jimmy took the blue tooth off his ear and walked around to Tess’ chair. He sat down in it and pulled it closer to the desk hearing a crunch and a voice say OWW from beneath the desk. He quickly rolled the chair back when someone hit his stomach and out came Lois Lane from under the desk. Shaking her abused hand now wearing black pants, shoes, a blue silk shirt and a white jacket and saying, “Jimmy, you stepped on my hand.”
“Next time don’t leave your hand on the floor under a desk in an office you’re not supposed to be in,” he replied back hurriedly.
“I’m sorry did I just get a lecture from Jimmy Olsen,” she quipped back standing up straighter as he focused back on the computer.
“Who were you talking to?” she asked once she was standing.
“No one. Lois, what’re you doing here?” he said shaking his head looking at her.
“I’m looking for Chloe and Davis. The head of Tess’ security has been staked out in front of the Talon apartment, creepy but telling. The only problem is her 8G mini-brain is encrypted,” Lois stated.
“Not anymore,” Jimmy fired back pulling out a flash drive that looked like an old fashioned MP3 player in orange and silver and plugging it into Tess’ computer. Once this was done he began to type away in code breaking her encryption codes.
With the codes broken all of Tess’ tracking files on Chloe and Davis were popping up on the screen to which Jimmy replied, “Tess has definitely been tracking Chloe and Davis. Most of this is from a couple days ago but if I can just get in…” and he began typing some more and finally after a moment replied self-satisfied with himself, “Bingo, looks like Chloe and Davis are on the outskirts of Edge City and so am I.” With this he stood up from the computer and told Lois as he left the room, “Don’t take your eyes off them, let me know if they move.”
Once Jimmy was gone Lois clicked on another open file and a video popped up of Tess torture some man for information on an orb.
After Tess apparently hit the man and he righted himself from his tied and sitting position he replied slowly, “Tess, Lex already tried to break down the technology of that orb.”
Tess’ voice replied on the video, “Lex knew that orb wasn’t from this Earth. It called to me, there’s life inside it that can’t be released until the Traveler kills the Beast.”
The man swallowed and said, “What your unleashing…could be the end of the world.”
Lois sat back surprised but watched blimps on the tracking screen that were Chloe and Davis for a bit longer and then she took the elevator down to the reporter’s den, but before she could get to her desk Tess’ voice spoke up from behind her, “I kinda miss the maid costume.”
Lois turned around with a roll of her eyes putting her hands in her pockets reply, “I stopped cleaning up after you.”
“You could’ve fooled me,” Tess stated stepping of the stairs in her purple business shirt and black pants and shoes and walking towards Lois and continuing with her speech, “I expect from my reporters a little better reconnaissance, but then again the bar’s always been a little bit lower for you hasn’t it?”
“Look, I know family loyalty means nothing to you but I would do anything to find Chloe. And if that means you need to fire me…plug the trigger,” Lois replied walking away from Tess at the end.
“I plan to but this has very little to do with Chloe…You saw it didn’t you?” Tess said following Lois.
“Seriously, you have a significant deficiency of pronoun modifiers going on,” Lois turned around firing back at Tess.
Tess stepped forward getting a really hard look on her face and asked, “Lois, where is the orb?”
“What orb?” Lois asked her voice rising in volume.
“The alien technology from my vault.”
“Oh, that orb,” Lois snarked back reaching for keys and handing them to Tess but before she could finish her hand off Tess kicked her into another desk.
She stood and faced off with Tess saying, “I guess asking for severance is out of the question?”
“I didn’t want this,” Tess replied coolly but Lois cut in stating, “No you just want to take over the world with some alien nation.”
“I am trying to save the world.”
“What’s wrong with Green Peace?” Lois replied sarcastically as she tried to walk past Tess grabbing her shoulder to move her but Tess grabbed her hand and pulled her back. Lois tried to hit her with her other hand but Tess ducked and tackled her into her desk. They fell onto the desk where everything, the computers, phones, papers, everything fell to the floor creating a huge mess. Lois on her back hit Tess with her elbow and tried to crawl away but Tess hit her with her elbow in the back and pulled her into a snake yoga move thing by her hair until she could get her in a choke hold.
Lois rolled so she was on top of Tess on her back with Tess on her back while in the choke hold until she could hit some part of Tess with her elbow. When Tess let her go she rolled out of her grasp until Tess was on her stomach on the desks and pulled her arm behind her back, but Tess twisted to her back and got her feet around Lois’ neck and flipped her to the side to the ground with her legs. Lois got up from the floor grabbed the mouth piece of a desk phone and hit Tess in the side of the head which caused her to knock Lois down on the ground when she fell unconscious. What they didn’t notice was that the black box Clark had had in his drawer fell with them and the Legion ring fell out to the floor. Lois slowly raise her upper body and checked to see if Tess was out but before she could finish getting up she spotted a ring on the floor and picked it up. It was a strange ring it had a gold band, a flat black surface with a gold L and a gold star to the upper right of the L on it. She looked at for a moment but turned it around in her fingers as if to put it on but suddenly a bright purple light engulfed her and she disappeared.
