Chapter 13
Disclaimer: Still don't own em...
A/N: For those reading this story and following it I want to explain something. In the last chapter Christy went postal on Paulie. I haven't gotten any flames due to her actions but she had just came to terms that her "mother" had told her on her death bed that Christy was pregnant and Christy told her she was wrong. I am basing the actions of Christy for that chapter on actions of my own. When I stated I wanted to work my mother ( grandmother) into this story The same thing happened to me. A month before she died I was told I was pregnant with my second child. I said the same thing Christy did. Needless to say three weeks later I found out I was indeed with child but she had lapsed into a coma and I never got to appologize for doubting her words. I am sorry that Mary had to die but it was needed for the turning point in this story. Now for more of an explanation.
Christy is grieving. She is having to deal with learning that what Mary told her was the truth and now she is having to deal with Paulie still talking to Whitney. Christy did not intend to let Paulie know about the baby yet but the doctor messed that up. ( wonders where the confidentiality clause was at for that doctor) Then when finally talking to Paulie she is now having to deal with the Whitney case. In her mind Paulie cares more about the money than her health. So she is confused and hurt. Also with Jamie and Vinnie, Christy knows Paulie only slept with her to get her with his child and then he has never spoken to her about it again. He hasn't spoken about the future but yet he doesn't know what he wants either so we have two confused young adults here. And now with this said let us continue with this journey.
Chapter 13
Jamie walked into the shop and took a breath. Lucy and the others had looked everywhere for Christy but yet no one knew where to find her. Except for Jamie. They were so dead set on looking in the stupidest places that they didn't think to look right under their very noses. It had been two months since Christy disappeared but yet Paulie still hadn't placed the restraining order on Whitney. Jamie knew exactly where her sister was at but she wasn't telling a soul. Even Vinnie didn't know and he was her boyfriend. Paulie looked up at her and Jamie rotated her shoulders and got ready for another long ass day at work.
Right around closing time Jamie looked up to the door opening. Whitney walked in with her little sister and they walked straight over to Paulie. Once the three of them started talking Jamie jumped to hear a voice behind her.
"He doesn't seem to worry too much about Christy does he?"
Jamie turned and looked at Pop's. "Honestly he doesn't. Word through the vine is that him and Whitney are all ready planning what to do with that money."
Vinnie walked up beside them and listened to their conversation.
"I could understand if he wasn't in a legal will but you would think he would want to see how she and the baby were doing."
"I don't know what to tell you there Pop's." Vinnie remarked. "It is like she just vanished off the face of the earth."
Jamie turned her head and picked up a wrench.
"Hey Jamie. When you go and see Christy tonight, Please tell her I wish to see her." Pop's said silently.
Jamie dropped the wrench and spun. "How did you?"
He smiled. " The fact that her being gone really doesn't bother you that much was a dead ringer."
Vinnie looked up at her. "How long?"
Jamie dropped her head. " I am sorry Vin. I promised her I wouldn't tell no one. We didn't mean to keep it from you it is just.."
Vinnie hugged her. "I understand honey. But I would like to see her myself. I am worried so bad about her and.." He hushed as Paulie walked over. "We will work through this Jamie. I know it will be ok."
"What will be ok?" Paulie asked.
Vinnie smiled. "Just a problem that me and Jam's is working through is all. Nothing major. Just something has come up. By the way Paulie. Have you heard from that investigator yet?"
Paulie looked confused, "Investigator?"
Vinnie nodded. "You know the one that is supposed to be looking for Christy for you. I mean you did call him right?"
Paulie slapped his head. "Damn it. We need to find her. I have this feeling that she is gonna take off. That is if she hasn't already."
Paul walked out and moved behind his son. "Hey Paulie. I need you to sign something for me." He reach Paulie the clipboard and Whitney went to look over his shoulder. "Just sign it Num-nuts. It is shop business and we don't want everyone knowing it."
Paulie spun around and signed the paper. "It looks official."
Paul took it back. "Just some legal stuff is all. You know we have to do this at least once a year sometimes more."
Paulie nodded. "Well. I have done all I can for the night and I am heading out."
Paul kept a straight face till the three of them walked out of the shop and shut the door. It was only then he busted out laughing. Jamie and Vinnie watched him and shook their heads. "What's so funny Pop's?"
Paul took a deep breath. "He has no idear what he just signed. Just ask Christy if I can come to see her tomorrow night please."
Jamie nodded and walked out with Vinnie as Paul smiled. "My numnut of a son. You have no idea what you just did."
The next night Christy was stroking her stomach and smiling. The baby had just started to move and she felt it from time to time. But of course she was nervous. When Vinnie and Jamie had arrived last night and they talked she soon agreed to see Paul. He was going to arrive with Jamie and Vinnie in a few minutes and she knew it wasn't his fault for the way Paulie acted. Soon she heard the doors shutting on the truck and she opened the door.
After they had eaten and cleaned up, they were sitting in the living room when Paul reach her a folder of papers. "I want you to read this carefully Christy."
She nodded and soon the tears filled her eyes. "Is this what I think it is?"
Paul nodded. "He signed it himself last night and I filed it first thing this morning. By him doing this instead of reading it, this paper makes yours null and void."
Jamie scooted over and hugged Christy close. Vinnie just looked at Paul in confusion. Paul laughed and explained. "Num nuts, by signing that paper, gave up all his parental rights to the baby. Now if Christy chooses she can come to the shop and see us again. He can't say nothing about it. And until she thinks he is worthy he can't see the baby nor have any contact with her. I told him before that Whitney was going to cause him to loose the baby and Christy but he wouldn't listen to me and then now I see he doesn't want to get rid of Whitney then he left me no choice. I can't get a restraining order against Paulie at the shop but I sure can get one against Whitney and her family which will be served tomorrow while she is there. And of course she told Paulie that she had nothing to do with your wreak and he believed her but the restraining order places her away from the shop and she also now, thanks to Danny, has a warrant out for her arrest on her part with you wreak. So tomorrow will be the last time she is seen at the shop. Now let us all go and get some sleep and we will see you say around tenish tomorrow Christy? I want you to be there whenever they serve them and arrest her." Christy assured she would be there and they went home.
The next day at exactly nine fifty a.m. Christy walked through the doors of the shop. Vinnie walked over and hugged her and got a chair for her to sit down in. Not five minutes later Whitney walked in the door and straight into the office. Jamie and Christy were talking whenever Paulie came out and looked over. As he started walking over to her with anger in his eyes Vinnie stepped in front of him. "I wouldn't do that if I was you."
Paulie looked up and then over as Whitney came walking out and stood beside him. "Isn't that?"
"Christy. Yeah it is." Vinnie spat out.
" I see she is still living." Whitney hissed
Paulie turned and looked at her. "What is up with you?"
Whitney shrugged. "That time of month."
Everyone looked up as Paul walked in with Danny and John.
"Hey Danny. Pleasure or business today?" Paulie said jokingly.
"Bisness Paulie." Danny said seriously. Then walking over to Whitney he nodded to Paul and Vinnie. They each took Paulie by his arms and pulled him back away from the two of them. Danny then handed Whitney the paperwork.
"What is this?" she asked innocently and Danny turned her to the wall. "Please place your hands on your head."
Paulie stood there in amazement as Whitney laughed and then looked over and went wide eyed at the look Vinnie and Paul was giving her.
"What did I do wrong?"
John finished patting her down and then took out his handcuffs, and started handcuffing her. Danny only then started talking again. "Whitney McGuire. You are hereby served with a restraining order prohibiting you from being within one thousand feet of Orange County Choppers and you are here by under arrest in for your part in the wreak of Christy Jenkins. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney the courts will appoint you one. Do you understand these rights?"
Whitney started crying. "Yes. I do."
Paulie watched as they took his girlfriend out the door. Danny turned to Christy. " I will let you know when the court date has been set. Do you want me to get in touch with you here or at home."
Christy threw her head towards Paul. "It would be best for you to let him know. Thank you again Danny for your help."
Danny nodded and hugged her. "Everything will be ok Christy. I promise. The truth will come out and some people will see the error's of their ways. You take care of that baby Teutul you hear me?"
Christy laughed and then Paul and Vinnie let go of Paulie. He looked over at Christy and stared. She looked away and turned to Paul. "Whenever you want to have that cook out let me know and I will try to be there."
He nodded and they watched as Christy walked back out the door.
