ch 13
Grissom woke up and watched the interplay between Sara and Jillian. He was quite upset that he would be returning to work and missing out on all of the fun stuff with the both of them. He would miss the interaction, the new things, all of it. It made him sad. He wished that both of them could not work. He would rather spend the time with the women in his life.
They had so much to do from announcing the wedding to actually planning it. They wanted a simple affair, just the crew from the lab and Grissom’s mother. Mom? I haven’t even told her about Jilly, she is going to kill me! Shit! He picked up the phone and called the lab.
“Las Vegas Crime Lab, Judy speaking, how may I direct your call?”
“Hey Judy, It’s Gil Grissom. Can you put me through to Conrad ?”
“Sure thing, sweetie.”
“Conrad Ecklie,”
“Hey Conrad, its Grissom. I really hate to do this to you, but I need to come back to work a few days late. I need to go see my mother. Will that be all right?”
“Gil, we’re short staffed as it is.”
“Conrad, I have the leave and I will go over your head if necessary.”
“Fine, Gil, have it your way.”
“Thanks, Conrad.” He hung up the phone. He had to plan a trip to California to see his mother. He had to make it up to her; she would never forgive him if he didn’t.
Sara rolled over to look at him. “What’s going on Griss?”
“How do you feel about California?”
She was noticeable shocked, “Why?”
“We’re going to California to visit my mom, I hope you don’t mind. I’m sure she would love to see Jilly.”
“No Griss, its great. What is your mom’s name?” Will she like me? What will she think of me? What will she think of Jilly?
“Victoria. Victoria Grissom.”
“I wish I would have known that, I would have named Jilly after her.”
“Next time,” He grinned.
“Does that mean you want more children?”
He went silent. “Do you?”
Sara looked at him. “I do if you do.”
“Then it’s settled, how soon do we want more?”
“Griss, Jilly is only five months. Shouldn’t we wait a while?”
“Sara, I’m no spring chicken. I want to be able to play with my children.”
“So how about we start now?” She asked.
“What about Jilly?”
Ooh I forgot about her! I’m a bad mom! “I’ll feed her and take her to her room and we can pick up where we left off last night.”
He smiled. He liked the sound of that.
Sara came back from feeding and changing the baby and settled into bed beside Grissom. “Now, where were we?” She purred as she straddled him.
She quickly divested herself and him of their clothing.
“I think we were trying to be cats…” He giggled.
“Can we rain check that? I just want you now any way I can get you.” Sara smiled.
She leaned down and kissed him passionately. She kissed her way down his chest. She arched her hips and he entered her. She groaned a little as he began to thrust. He knew exactly how to do it to optimize her pleasure. He was one of the most skilled lovers she had ever been with. Sara moaned as he quickened his pace. (He) HE grabbed her hips and moved her with him to climax.
They both collapsed onto the bed. “That was wonderful.” She said kissing him. “I never knew what I had been missing.”
He grinned. “Always happy to please,” He had never had a lover that was as responsive as Sara.
Sara and Grissom drifted off to sleep. They awoke a few hours later to Jillian’s cries.
“I’ll go, it’s my turn.” Sara said getting up.
“Ok. Bring her in here. I don’t want to miss you for too long, our bed will get cold.” He laughed.
Sara padded to the nursery and returned with the baby. “This little one is a little piggy.” Sara said as she lay back down with the baby.
“I guess she has my appetite.” He said hoping she would catch the double entendre.
Sara smiled as she gently ran her fingers over the suckling baby.
“Griss,” Sara began. “What if your mom doesn’t like me?”
“Sara, why would you think that?”
“I’m nervous that's all,"
“Don’t worry about it. I’m sure mom will love you especially once she sees Jilly. I’m an only child. This is her first grandchild and she is in her seventies. I’m sure she will personally thank you.”
Sara gently brushed his face. “I hope you’re right.”
“I know I am. What time do you want to leave? It’s going to be a long drive with the baby, especially if she's fussy.”
“Can we stop at a rest stop or something on the way there? I’ll have to feed Jilly.”
“Sure, so what if we leave around lunch and drive for a while and then we will stop for some food and for you to feed the baby.”
“Sounds great, but I’ll have to pump some off before we go. Jilly won't wait that long, you know, she's impatient when she's hungry.”
“We can still get some sleep, it’s early yet.” He snuggled over closer to her so he could touch her. He grasped her hand.
