.Voice of reason.

Guy returned to Nottingham. He sat in a tavern nursing his umpteenth mug of ale brooding on wifely disobedience.

' How now Sir Guy !' A raucous voice hailed him. He turned and saw Father Tuck beaming at him.
' You're brooding Lad'. The priest observed. ' Anything I can help with ?'

' S*d off Father. I'm in no mood for company'. He was told icily.

' A man must never be left alone with his troubles'. Tuck insisted. ' Not what Our Lord would have done at all'.

He made to sit down and found himself grabbed by his habit. Gisborne's angry face only an inch from his own.
' Are you deaf Priest ? Leave me alone'. And for the second time that evening he stalked away. This time to the castle where he got one of the servants to prepare his old room for him.

He barely had time to remove his clothes before he passed out cold.

Dawn found him with a shocking hangover. Far too much ale on an empty stomach had been a bad idea.
When he was finally able to get out of bed. He made his way gingerly outside dunking his throbbing head in the horse trough seeking relief.

It worked sufficiently to remind him off his altercations with both Charity and Father Tuck. Two of the people least deserving of such treatment.

He took advantage of the earliness of the hour to let himself out into the town and found his way to Father Tuck's lodgings.

' Bless me Father for I have sinned'. He told the priest ruefully. ' I behaved like a rancid goat turd last night. I'm sorry. Could I please talk to you'.

' Have you eaten son ? ' The priest enquired and when Guy said ' no' provided the same breakfast he was having.

Guy told him about his last meeting with Charity and his reaction to her news about Robin.
' It's like he's got away with what he did to her'. He groaned.

' And what would you have done to him had he been here ? Killed him ?' Tuck asked. ' And what good would it have achieved. Might I ask ?'

Guy looked blank for a moment. ' Justice'. He replied. Though not with any great certainty.

' Isn't 'vengeance' more accurate ? ' Tuck asked. ' You and Hood have it in for one another. What a good excuse it would be to rid yourself of an enemy.

And he is gone. Isn't he son ? No longer at Loxley. But alive and able to serve his fellow man. If Lady Charity forgives the wrong he did her. Why not you too ?'

Guy looked up. Catching sight of the older man watching him benignly as he ate.
' There's only one answer to that I think'. He said. ' Thank you Father. Now I need to make peace with my wife'.

Back at Loxley he climbed up to his bedroom window and climbed in. He stood by the bed for a moment looking down at his sleeping wife.
' Idiot'. He told himself. She's all yours and you go mad at her on account of Robin Hood.
Kneeling. He took one of Charity's soft hands and stroked his cheek with it.
Then he leaned forward and touched his mouth to hers. Running his tongue slowly across one tender pink lip then the other.
Charity's eyes opened and she beamed delightedly. Throwing her arms around her husband in blessed relief. Tears welling in her eyes. ' I thought you'd left me for good last night'.
' Never.' He let his forehead rest against hers. 'I've had time to think about what you told me. And I'm so sorry for reacting like that.
Hood and I have hated each other for so long that it's hard for me not to want him dead. But you're right. What good would it do on this occasion ?'

He undressed and slid into bed beside her. ' I woke with a stinking hangover'. He told her with a grin. ' But the worst part was not having you there.............I love You'.

He'd never been certain enough before to say it. But this morning he knew it was true. ' I don't think I've ever really been in love before. Even with Marian. Not like this with you'. He folded her into an impassioned embrace kissing her like a man starving. Blessed relief flooding him as she responded with equal fervour.

' I love you too.' She gasped coming up for air. 'When I first saw you I could see that you needed to be loved. But I didn't expect to fall for you so hard. Or to long for you to love me so much'.

She began to kiss down his body. Her eyes looking up at him flirtatiously. Smiling at his moan as she took him into her mouth.
She was getting good at this now. Very good. Tongue swirling round the head and lapping at the shaft. Lips sliding up and down and kissing his balls. Gentle fingers dabbling with the delicate sacs, stroking his buttocks and caressing the full length.
Groans and incoherent murmurs egging her on.

On the brink. He slid himself from her lips and laid her on her back. Hovering over her smirking lustfully.
' You 've got me so close with that clever sexy mouth of yours. But I want to c*m inside you. ' And he entered her in one smooth movement.
He lifted her legs so her feet could rest on his chest. This took him inside her very deeply and she whimpered in delight as his hips began an unhurried sexy rhythm.
He slid a finger between her labia before transferring it to her clit. Swirling it slowly matching the tempo of his own hips.
He wouldn't last long. Charity was hot, wet, tight and quivering against him. The pules and whimpers of pleasure pouring from her were the most erotic and beautiful of music.
' I'm going to c*m Angel'. He groaned softly. 'C*m with me. Let's do it together'.

And they did. Holding tight to each other as they shuddered, groaned and screamed in perfect unison.

Wrapped around each other like Eros and Psyche they basked in the bliss of post orgasmic stupor.
Glad that their first real argument had not proved insurmountable.
