Chapter 11 the impending birth
"Vincent" said catherine quietly
He immediately sat up and put his arms around his wife to comfort her
"I need to be sick again...." he released her as she rushed to the bathroom chamber
"catherine my love, would you like something to settle your stomach?" he asked out of concern for her. She leaned back against the wall and waited for the dizzyness to pass as he stroked her forehead.
"Yeah, you could, you know that herbal tea mary has?" he nodded in understanding
"I have heard that ginger root tea in particular is good for pregnant women" he said thoughtfully. He held out his hands to his beautiful wife and helped her back to bed before he got dressed and rushed off to find mary.
Mary was just waking up when vincent popped his head in through the tapestry
"Vincent, what is it child?" she asked concerned
"It is catherine, she is suffering with morning sickness, could I borrow some ginger root tea to settle her stomach."
"Why yes, of course you can, child" said mary feeling sorry for them both
mary took her herbal tea to the kitchen to boil some water on the gas stove and took
the tea to catherine.
"Hello sweetheart, here you are"
"Thank you mary, I hate this bit of my pregnancy"
Vincent came back then with a tray of breakfast.
"How are you, my love, better?" She nodded gazing lovingly at him and he put his arms around her as she polished off the contents on the tray.
