Chapter Ten

Incubus
Flora Winters
I do not own Torchwood.
Summary: The team discovers that there are more things in heaven and earth, but does this creature belong in either? This story will contain male/male relationships, lots of vulgar language (just because I love using it), and a couple of original characters thrown in here and there just to spice things up. Have fun and enjoy the story, ya’ll.

Chapter Ten

The Queen of Darkness stood before the sunken temple of the Fallen One. Nothing would ever grow on the mound of black earth, except for a single red rose in a midst of flesh tearing thorns. This lost temple was the resting place where the Prince of Darkness lies imprisoned in slumber. She could feel his restless power swimming around in the dead soil under her bare feet. The deadly green vines were coiling and curling like hissing serpents around the single blood red rose. It seemed to pulse like a broken heartbeat. All she needed to do was pluck the damn thing, scatter those sweet smelling petals upon the scorched ground, and the temple would rise up once more, releasing the Beautiful Darkness that was within.

“Do you honestly think a few vines will be able to stand in my way?” She asked, looking up at the sky. “I’ve suffered worse than a few scratches, oh Mighty One.”

“Well,” a deep voice answered her from within the coiling vines. “It’s a good thing I was put here to make sure you suffer a bit more, Whore of Demons.”

Her amber eyes glowed with humor and she giggled at the old name as the vines uncoiled, revealing a man clothed in golden armor. “Ah, Michael, it’s so good to see you.”

He lifted a great golden sword, pointing it at her. “Be gone, Bride of Demons.”

She looked upon the tall, handsome, muscular man. Oh, he was such a lovely creature to behold. He possessed such awesome masculine beauty. His skin was dark brown, and smooth as glass. His eyes were like a cat’s, yellow and lovely. He had hair that was the color of grass that danced in the wind. His beauty was awesome, but, could not compare to the one who rested under their feet.

“It would be you guarding Lucifer like a loyal doggy,” she cackled, smiling at him with deadly white fangs that looked like razor sharp daggers.

Michael narrowed his burning eyes. “The Creator charged me with making sure that Beautiful Darkness never opens his eyes again.”

He swung his mighty sword at her, causing her to leap back with ease.

“He wants him to stay forever trapped in his Hell,” he said, ignoring how beautiful she was. “I shudder to think what is being done to him in that dream.”

Her long black hair billowed like storm clouds around her beautiful face. Those luminous amber orbs burned with vile hatred. Her fury pulsed from her in scorching hot waves of malice.

“Be gone, Babylon,” he said, sprouting wings of light. “And I won’t cut you down.”

Her devil red lips twitched in angry amusement. She was going to take his sword and ram it up his pompous ass.

“You would strike a woman?” She asked, pouting her seductive lips, batting her long lashes, moving her body with sensuous feminine grace, showing off her perfect curves as she walked towards him in all her naked glory.

“You are no woman, Lilith,” he said, grinning with perfect teeth. “You stopped being a woman the moment you refused to submit to your husband.”

Her dark beauty became horrible, fell, lethal, venomous, ruthless, and a thousand other words that meant she was made of awesome.

“Michael,” she whispered like a volcano does just before the explosion killed everything in sight. “I’m going to show you what a real woman is.”

Great wings sprouted from her back in burning radiance. She pointed her golden trident at him and raced forward with a demonic screech. Thunder echoed across the flatland when the two weapons of mass destruction met.

Fragile seems
I opened up too quick and all my dreams
Were walking out I’d slowly
Lost my fire
With every single man a river cried

“What the hell are you doing?” Kain asked with his milky white hands on his black leather clad hips, cocking a delicate blond brow, looking at the captain like the man had just lost his damn mind.

“What does it look like I’m doing?” Jack asked, holding onto the wall so that he wouldn’t fall on his ass. “I’m trying not to break my damn neck.”

Kain rolled his eyes, skating over to him. “You mean to tell me that you have no idea how to skate?”

They were the only two people in the whole place.

Jack looked at him. “I have no idea how to skate.”

“Then why didn’t you say anything?” Kain asked, blowing a loose lock from out of his left eye. “We could have gone somewhere else then.”

“I didn’t want to say anything that would ruin your excitement,” Jack said, cringing when his feet almost slid out from under him. “But, now I am.”

“Yes,” Kain said, crossing his arms across his chest. “You really are.”

I had no sensation
Completely numb, left with no satisfaction
I thought no-one could ever get me high again
I swear, I was not looking

“What are you doing?” Jack yelped in surprise when Kain took him by the arm. “Let me go! I’ll fall!”

“Oh, shut up,” Kain snapped, trying to pull him away from the damn wall.

“No!” Jack wailed like a siren, holding onto the railing with all his might. “You can’t make me do it! I don’t wanna!”

“Let go, Jack!” Kain roared, pulling on him as if he were a stubborn mule. “You’re acting like a big baby.”

“You let go!” Jack snarled, wishing he was in a position to bite him. “You’re going to make us both fall!”

“I don’t fall,” Kain hissed, starting to tickle the panicked captain. “Once you fall, you can’t fall again.”

Jack ignored the sarcasm, trying his best not to pee on himself. He hated being tickled.

Oh, waited so long
I thought the real thing was a fake
I thought it was a tool to break me down
You proved me wrong again

“Oh, Jesus!” Jack yelped when Kain finally pulled him loose, and he quickly wrapped his arms around the incubus’s neck for dear life.

“Why are you calling on someone who doesn’t exist?” Kain asked, grinning like a shark. “I’m the only one here who has the power to save you, Captain.”

“Don’t move,” Jack warned through gritted teeth, having his arms squeezing tightly around the incubus’s neck.

Kain began to move his feet.

“Don’t you dare!” Jack yelled, feeling his feet slide again.

“Don’t I dare do what?” Kain asked, loving how the frightened the captain was. “It is only ice, Jack. If you were to fall, I’ll pick you up.”

If love were liquid it would drown me
In a placeless place would find me
In a heart shape come around me and then
Slowly melt me down
If love were human it would know me
In a lost space come and show me
Hold me and control me and then
Melt me slowly down
Like chocolate

“Come on,” Kain said, telling him to let him go, and stand on his own two feet. “We’re going to skate around this bitch.”

“I’ll go sit down and watch you do it,” Jack said, looking across the white, suddenly noticing just how far away that wooden bench looked.

“Come on, Jack,” Kain said, pouting his seductive red lips. “I’ll give your lolly a good lick if you skate around it just one time with me.”

Tastes so good
My hearts been mended who’d have thought it would
An empty bet and still I won the cash
A man who I love and who
Loves me back

Jack slowly let go of his neck, and on shaking legs, looked at him with really big eyes. “Just once?”

Kain nodded his head. “Just once, Jack.”

It was such a big rink. He didn’t want to do it. But, the thought of that deadly tongue licking him sounded too yummy to pass up.

“Fine,” he said, taking a deep breath. “Hold my hand.”

Kain did so.

Oh, waited so long
For love to heal me so I’d feel it
Thought it wasn’t breathing then you came
You proved me wrong again

“See,” Kain smiled, skating slowly along beside him, holding his quivering hand. “Isn’t this fun?”

Jack shook his head. “I’d much rather be downing a beer and dancing at a club.”

Kain snarled. “Why didn’t you just say so? We could be doing that right now.”

Jack looked at him.

“You really are an idiot,” Kain said, wondering if he should just let him fall on his ass for being a retard. “I did this just because I thought you would find it sweet and endearing, so you wouldn’t think me just about sex and all that yummy goodness.”

Jack gawked.

“I ought to just slap you cross-eyed, throw you down, no, trip your ass,” Kain hissed, speeding up his skating. “And leave you to crawl your way back to the car.”

If love were liquid it would drown me
In a placeless place would find me
In a heart shape come around me and then
Slowly melt me down
If love were human it would know me
In a lost space come and show me
Hold me and control me and then
Melt me slowly down

Jack started laughing and Kain just looked at him, noticing that they were really flying around the rink. His molten blue eyes widened, narrowing into poisonous slits.

“You asshole!” He yelled, letting go of his hand.

Jack did a twirl and blew a kiss at him. “Sometimes.”

“Why the hell did you do that?” He yelled, racing at him, wanting to knock him down.

Jack jumped out of the way, doing another twirl. “It was fun.”

Kain wanted to punch his lights out and suddenly snarled. He had told Jack that he had wanted to appear sweet and endearing. Great, now he looked like a fucking pansy.

Jack just smiled at him.

Like chocolate come here
Zoom in, catch the smile
There’s no doubt it’s from you
And I’m addicted to it now

“All right,” Jack said, gliding across the ice to him. “I’ll race you.”

Kain snorted. “You…race me?”

Jack nodded.

“You’ve got to be kidding,” Kain laughed. “I’ll kick your ass and rub your face in the ice until it’s raw and bleeding.”

“You don’t have to talk so tough,” Jack snickered, waving his hand at him. “I know that deep down you’re just a sweet, endearing puppy.”

“That does it!” Kain snapped, nostrils flaring. “You are so on!”

“Come here,” Jack said, holding out his hand to him.

Kain looked at it in distrust. “What?”

“Come here,” Jack said again, giving him an intense gaze. “And take my hand.”

Kain slowly skated forward, and slowly reached out, taking his hand. He didn’t have time to yelp when Jack suddenly pulled him forward, crushing their mouths together, holding him tight.

Just one look boy to melt me down
Just one heart here to save me now
Your candy kisses are sweet I know
Hold me tight baby don’t let go

Kain put his hands to Jack’s broad chest, pushing away from him. He gazed into those heated eyes, seeing that they were smiling at him from the depths of the immortal soul within the immortal body.

“I’m going to kick your ass,” he said, wondering why he was not doing so right now. It wasn’t because of the device either. It was something else. It was something in the gaze that Jack was giving him that was keeping him at bay.

“No, you won’t,” Jack said, caressing his bone white cheek. “You’re going to fuck it.”

“Am I?” Kain asked, pulling a lollypop out of his pocket.

Jack just gave him a look as he undid the wrapper and began to lick it.

“There you go,” Kain said, handing it to him. “I licked your lolly I stole off your desk.”

Jack took it, looked at it, and stuck it in Kain’s hair. The smaller man jumped him and they both went down with snarls.

If love were liquid it would drown me
In a placeless place would find me
In a heart shape come around me and then
Slowly melt me down
If love were human it would know me
In a lost space come and show me
Hold me and control me and then
Melt me slowly down

Michael fell to his knees, wounds dripping with blood the color of molten silver. He had deep gashes across his chest and down his legs. His left wing had been broken and was hanging limply.

The she-bitch was strong, too strong. She was standing before him with just a few scratches here and there and a scorch mark on her shoulder. She was quickly healing, too.

Lilith kicked him square in the face and he fell over flat on his back with a grunt of pain. She cackled evilly as she put her heel to his throat, applying pressure, making him gag for air that was not coming. He kicked his long muscular legs, scratching at her legs with his hands, fighting to get free from her.

She removed her heel, and kicked him in the side of the face hard enough to stun him into motionlessness.

“You’ve grown so weak, Michael,” she howled with laughter, suddenly straddling his narrow waist, digging her sharp talons into his chest, raking them down to his navel. He cried out in agony, screaming for the Creator. “He’s too far away to hear a failure like you, dear.”

His yellow eyes narrowed into slits, as he spat blood in her beautiful face. She wiped it away with a deadly snort.

“It really is a pity we can’t die,” she smiled wickedly. “Because you’re really going to wish you could.”

She lifted her trident over his chest, and he cried out when she brought it down. It tore right through his chest, pinning him to the ground. He screamed in agony, as he bucked his hips, trying to get her off him. He cried, screamed, and clawed at the trident, trying to get it out.

“Fight all you want to,” she cackled. “But, only I can pull it out of you now.”

He screamed curses at her, damning her to the bottom of Hell.

“Lie there and writhe in agony like the worm you are,” she hissed, gripping his cock, pulling with all her might.

She left him twitching, throwing the piece of useless flesh over her shoulder. It landed at his naked feet.

“Now,” she said, ignoring her scorched shoulder, bending over to pick up the flaming golden sword that Michael had dropped. “It’s time to do some weed-whacking.”

“Bitch!” Michael gurgled, moaning in pain. “Whore!”

“I know,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I am all those things and much more.”

“When I heal,” he gasped, pulling up on the trident with all his might, finally letting go. It was buried all the way into his chest and deep into the ground under him. He was not going anywhere. “I’m going to plunge my fist so far up your…”

She kicked him so hard in the face, his jaw shattered. He howled in agony, screaming at the top of his lungs.

“What was that?” She asked, looming over him, giving the trident in his chest a good twist. “I didn’t quite catch that, Mickey?”

He passed out.

“Idiot,” she hissed through clenched fangs, snapping his other wing just for good measure. ”Am I woman enough for you now?”

She turned to the coiling vines that were hissing and snapping at her like whips as she approached them. She pointed the flaming sword at them and they perished in flames. The rose was ready to be plucked like a ripe fruit from a tree.

She walked up to it, went down on her knees before it, gripped it by the stem, and broke it off. A beam of radiant ruby light shot out of the center of the petals and up into the vast blue sky above. The seal had been broken.

She got to her feet, scattering the ruby red petals atop the mound of black soil.

“He loves me,” she said, dropping one. “He loves me not.”

The ground beneath her feet began to quake and groan.

“He loves me,” she snorted, dropping the last petal. “Yeah, right.”

She looked over at Michael’s unconscious form. “What do you think, Dickless?”
