Talk and Unfulfilled Desires
Chapter 11 : Talk + Unfulfilled Desires
But Jan just can't sleep. All sexual sessions with Kara Kent being played over and over in his mind, every sexual position they had done while Kara had been under the influence of the Red Kryptonite Necklace that had clung to her skin made his lust for her grow, when suddenly Jan couldn't take it anymore and pulled open the sheets, his feet touching the cold floor while his hands closed the sheets again, no doubt warming Kara's body once more. He can't take it; he watches her chest rise and fall, while the tears stain the floor. I never should have used that Red Kryptonite Necklace on you, Kara. I'm so sorry... Jan thought before he went to the patio balcony doors, slid them open and walked through, his arms resting on the railing after he slid the patio balcony doors closed.
You're sleeping peacefully now... so you won't hear what I am about to do... It's better this way. Jan thought as he put one foot on the railing. But just when he wants to slide his other foot on the railing and fall down, strong hands grab him. "NO! LET ME GO!!" He yells as he struggles against the strong hands that holds him, while tears overcome him.
When he thinks he is finally falling, the only thing that happens is that his feet touch his small balcony. He's looking up at Clark's face. Kara's cousin could be strangling his co-worker now, because he has destroyed his cousin's and Jimmy Olsen's relationship, but he doesn't do it. Instead he just lets him go.... which is the cue for Jan to begin yelling at Clark.
"I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO SAY! SAVE IT!" Jan yells at Clark, no doubt waking up some neighbours. "I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR COUSIN, OKAY?!" Jan yells, feeling the tears well up in his eyes.
In the apartment, Kara's eyes open up, and immediately she superspeeds toward the patio door, slides it open and walks through the created opening. "Clark?" Kara sleepily asked. "JAN?! What are you doing?!" Kara asks as she puts her arms around him.
How Jan wanted to feel those hands around him, yet he doesn't want to feel those hands around him NOW, not THIS moment, when he's at his weakest.
"Please calm down, Jan." Clark said to his co-worker, as miraculously Kara's touch on Jan is making him do just that. "I don't approve of what you've done, but it is Kara's decision. If you make her happy, then so be it." Clark calmly explains to Jan, who looks at him as if he's grown two heads. I've used a rock that is a weakness on your cousin which resulted in the destruction of her relationship with Jimmy Olsen and ALL YOU CAN SAY IS THAT IT'S HER DECISION?! Jan thought.
Jan sighed. "It was Lex... he gave me this box full of rocks... with one red stone necklace." Jan said, figuring they deserve to know the truth. He slowly allowed himself one look at Kara. "He knows of my.... crush on you." Jan decided to say, 100% sure they would freak out if he said 'my obsession'.
"Where is that box full of rocks now, Jan?" Clark asked, looking into Jan's eyes. "It's under my bed." Jan immediately said, as if Clark had had Jan in his grip with Wonder Woman's lasso of truth. The words flowed out, and before they could either move or say a thing, Jan had disappeared back into the warm house and had retrieved the box, before joining the Kryptonian cousins outside again. The box was still firmly closed, the only article having been removed being the Red Kryptonite Necklace. "We need to destroy the contents by someone who isn't... well, not by us. It can kill us. What color is in there?" Jan is asked. "The only things that had been in them were one Red Kryptonite Necklace and lots of Green Kryptonite rocks." Jan explained to them.
"They can kill us.... Clark is right. We need someone to destroy those rocks for us." Kara said, sliding a hand over Jan's cheeks. "Would you do that for us?" Kara asked while looking into Jan's eyes. "Clark is Superman, that's why he knew of your attempted suicide." Kara said. Clark doesn't say anything, not even made a comment to Kara about Jan just having tried his SECOND attempt at committing suicide. "I told him right after I saved you." Kara said, hugging Jan against her concealed body.
Jan looked at Clark and Kara. "I promise. I'll do it first thing in the morning before I get ready for work." Jan promised, to which both Kryptonians cringed. "I'm not sure Jimmy would want to see you tomorrow. Try to steer clear of him, okay?" Jan was asked. Jan chuckled softly. "Easier said than done, Supers. But I'll try."
Clark kissed Kara softly on her cheek. "You're truly happy, I see that in your eyes, my cousin." He said in Kryptonese and hugged her, which made Kara embrace her cousin as well. "Thank you for accepting us, Kal-El." She whispered back, equally in Kryptonese.
"Well, I should be getting back, Lois would probably be worried, since I woke her up when I thought one thing hadn't been covered yet." Clark told him and then embraced Jan. "This doesn't mean this is over. Hurt Kara once and I won't be held reliable for what will happen to you, Jan Oramu." Clark said with a touch of anger on his face. "I promise, Clark. I won't hurt her in any way." Jan said. And then he addressed them both. "This garbage is going to the dump tomorrow. I'll personally drop it off." Jan said and then he watched Clark fly off into the night while being held by Kara.
Jan turned around so he and Kara were looking at eachother now, and he leaned in for a kiss.... "I don't know if Jimmy would have been like that. Maybe he would have thought the rocks would look shiny or something." Kara said. What a way to ruin the moment, Kara! Bring up your ex! Jan and Kara both thought.
"But you're probably freezing to death, let me get us back inside!" Kara said and had supersped both back into the bedroom again after having slid the patio balcony doors closed. Jan set the box down against the doors so he would take them out first thing tomorrow.
Kara kissed Jan hard on his lips. "I'm sorry for having brought up Jimmy." Kara said, kissing him again just as hard. She then jumped into his arms. "Care to bring me to bed, Jan Oramu? So we can sleep for real this time?" Kara whispered with a wink.
Jan smiled. "Always, Kara Kent." Jan said and returned to his bed and once again the new young fresh couple got under the covers... both desires from either side being unfulfilled, but that would be something for another time. Another day and perhaps another night...
