Chapter Ten
Black Leather and Claws
Flora Winters
I do not own Smallville, Batman Returns, or Catwoman…even though I really wish I did. I would be one extremely rich bitch.
Summary: Jason is one pissed off pussycat and Lex doesn’t know what to do. This is going to have male/male parings…so if you don’t like it, don’t read it. It really is that simple, I promise you. There will also be some foul language just because I do so enjoy using it. XOVER, OC, MM, LANGUAGE
Chapter Ten
Clark had looked the contents of the disk over and felt all those years worth of tears welling up to the surface. His eyes had burned a dangerous ruby red, and if anyone had been looking they would have seen the steam. He had refused to shed one single tear over what that rotten bastard had done to him, and he sure as fuck was not about to start now.
He went to Chloe, but they could find now trails leading to Lana. It was clear that she had not wanted to be found when she had left Smallville all those years ago. They were completely in the dark as to where Lex could be holding her captive.
“How could he possibly be holding Isobel captive,” Chloe had asked him with wonder and then said, “She stripped you of your powers and would have taken over the world if you had not found a way to get your powers back in time to stop her plan.”
Clark had just shaken his head. Had Lex learned some kind of arcane tricks or did he have someone who could?
He had told Chloe to have a goodnight and he had taken out the window like a bullet.
Now, he was lying on his back on top of an airliner. He had no idea where he was going. The wind was ruffling his hair something crazy and the roar of the engine was starting to get on his goddamn nerves.
He rolled off and took to the air once more. The wind fluttered through his long red cape and he wondered if Jason was still up. Maybe the two of them could go out and do something. He needed to take his mind off everything so he could figure out what to do.
Wait! Could Jason be in on this too? He was Lex’s assistant after all.
“Fuck me,” Clark hissed and shot off towards home.

Jason had just pounced through his open window when his cell phone began to ring. He threw his jewelry packed pack down on the sofa, and ran to see that it was Mr. Reporter. He had programmed the dorky stud’s number into his phone earlier that day. His cherry red lips curved upwards into a wicked smile as he pulled off his leather mask.
“Hello,” he asked as his tussled blonde locks flowed and curled freely around his alabaster face.
“Hey,” Clark’s voice said over the line, “Are you busy?”
Jason slightly frowned and looked over at his pack. He had been planning on covering his gorgeous body in pretty shiny, but, maybe he could cover himself with Clark instead.
“No,” Jason said as he kicked off his tight leather boots, “Why?”
“I was wondering if you would like to go and get some food with me,” Clark said and Jason wondered what the man was doing because of all the sounds, “And just have a night of fun.”
“That actually sounds nice,” Jason said as he pulled on his pants in order to slide them off, “Let me take a shower and I’ll be at your place in a bit then.”
“Awesome,” Clark said and then cursed.
“What are you doing,” Jason asked as he stumbled around on one shapely leg.
“I’m trying to get out of these tight ass pants without falling on my ass,” Clark said with a laugh.
Jason snorted. He was trying to do the same damn thing. What were the odds of that?
“Good luck with those pants,” Jason said as he finally got his off, “I’ll call you when I leave my place.”
“Okay,” Clark said and Jason heard something rip, “Oh, damn it!”
Jason bit his bottom lip in order to keep from howling with laughter, “See you in a bit.”
“Bye,” Clark said and cursed again as Jason hung up.
The pretty kitty just sat there on his sofa laughing. That man really was something else. Clark just makes him smile. He was not like all the other guys he had tried to date. Clark was thoughtful, caring, dorky, and sexy.
That was when he cocked his head to the side and looked down at Endymion who was rubbing up against his legs, “I don’t know about you Mr. Kitty…but I think Clark had a Dungeons & Dragons board game under his Buddha table.”
He jumped to his feet and did a flip to land on top of the coffee table. He kicked his leg up in the air and struck a godly pose. His eyes suddenly widened and he spun around to look down at Endymion.
“What the hell am I going to wear?”
He took off like a cheetah towards hid bedroom with Endymion hot of his heels.

Lana was standing on a tiny island that was floating in thick violet mists. She stood before a beautiful ornate mirror with snakes coiling around the framework with amethysts in their hissing mouths. Her reflection looked back out at her with glowing violet orbs.
“Shall we try that again,” Lana asked.
Isobel nodded, “On three, Lana.”
She grinned, “Three.”

Jason looked up from his menu to see that Clark was biting his lower lip in what looked to be frustration and anger. He looked back down at the picture of the grilled salmon platter and sighed.
“I’m sorry,” Clark said and he looked up at him, “This was supposed to be fun.”
“What’s wrong,” Jason asked as he fingered his silver cat pendant.
“My job,” Clark said as he sat his menu down, “I bring it home with me.”
“How so,” Jason asked as he took a sip of his milk.
“I try to help people,” he said looking into those luminous green eyes, “But, I can’t help them all.”
Jason smiled and reached across the table to put a flawless ivory white hand on top of Clark’s golden brown one, “All you can do is your best, Clark. It’s all anyone can truly do. Your articles have helped people and have saved lives.”
Clark turned his bigger hand over and squeezed that smaller one that fit his so perfectly, “Thanks.”
“You’re only human,” Jason said, “We can’t all be Superman.”
A sharp pang stabbed Clark in the heart, but he managed to smile nonetheless. So, Jason thought Superman perfect. He wished.
It has to be the cape.
“Can you believe that,” Jason asked and pointed at a newspaper some guy was reading at a table across from them, “They’re saying that Madkat weighs 160.”
Clark snorted, “He’s a wispy little thing, and according to witnesses, he can punch with the strength of a lion.”
“Wispy,” Jason asked with a cocked brow, “I hear he has a tight ass and is a real tiger.”
Clark shrugged his huge shoulders, “He does seem to have it in for Luthor though.”
“Who doesn’t,” Jason asked with a smug smile.
“He struck again a little while ago, actually,” Clark said, “He managed to steal over a million dollars worth of priceless gems from another Luthorcorp store.”
“Someone likes his pretty shiny,” Jason grinned as he played with his silver diamond eyed kitty pendent.
“Ready to order,” a young man asked stepping up to them.
Clark looked down at his menu and Jason snatched his hand, “Come on.”
He was pulled to his feet and dragged away.
Damn, this boy can move.

“Chloe,” a familiar voice called out to her and she rolled over in her sleep, “Chloe…”
Blue eyes opened and the blonde looked around, “Lana?”
She turned to see a sweet smelling violet mist begin to part, and a beautiful woman stepped out in a vibrant green gown, “Hi, Chloe.”
“Where are we,” Chloe asked in surprise, “Where are you?”
“You are in the astral void of our making,” Lana said as she glided over to hug her friend, “And we are trapped in the basement of the castle.”
“In Smallville,” Chloe asked as she watched Lana’s extremely long hair coil like long dark serpents around her slender physique.
Her olive green eyes suddenly went violet, “Yes, Chloe.”
“Isobel,” Chloe whispered and she let go of her, “What is Lex doing?”
“We don’t have much time,” Isobel said as she led Chloe to her mirror, “Lex is planning to do something terrible.”
She gracefully gestured for Chloe to gaze into her mirror. Chloe did so and her blue eyes widened in horror. She gasped and put a hand to her throat.
She saw Clark lying on the scorched ground in a bloody heap with fragments of meteor rock all over the place. His super uniform was ripped, slashed, and scorched. He was almost completely naked. His skin was a sickly green and that was when she realized that he was dead. His bloated tongue was purple and protruding from the corner of his gaping mouth.
Lex was looming over her best friend’s body with poisonous green eyes and there looked to be some kind of army behind him. The bald man let out a shrill, poisonous laugh, and stomped his foot down on Clark’s face.
Chloe screamed when Clark’s once beautiful face splattered in bone and brain matter under Lex’s heel.

Jason was howling with laughter as he watched Clark dance the Robot. It was so damn dorky, but the guy had the moves down perfectly. Clark danced over to him and wagged his arm out like a snake. Jason snorted and punched him in the shoulder.
“Dork,” Jason laughed as Clark nursed his shoulder with a playful pout.
Clark looked the sexy blonde over and suddenly got a far away look in his eyes when a different song began to play.
“Clark,” Jason asked in concern and gripped his arms, “What is it?”
“Just admiring you,” he said and Jason slightly frowned. That was such a lie. That was not a look of admiration. That was a look of loss and sadness.
In the day
In the night
Say it right
Say it all
You either got it
Or you don’t
You either stand or you fall
When your will is broken
When it slips from your hand
When there’s no time for joking
There’s a hole in the plan
Clark pulled the smaller man to him and they both seemed to dance on air as the throng of dancers pulsed all around them like a great beating heart. This had been their song.
Jason could feel that Clark was slightly trembling, but neither missed a step to their dance. He rested his head on Clark’s broad shoulder and closed his eyes as he followed Clark’s steps to the enchanting song.
Clark felt his eyes start to sting as those shattered happy memories seemed to just flood from their lead prison.
Oh you don’t mean nothing at all to me
No you don’t mean nothing at all to me
But you got what it takes to set me free
Oh you could mean everything to me
The beat of the music was pulsing through Jason’s veins. Clark smelled so good and he moved his hands up his powerful arms and then around that broad back.
He looked up into those eyes to see that they were glossy and wet in the flashing lights. What the hell?
“Clark,” he asked in concern, “Are you okay?”
Clark bit his bottom lip and gave him a big smile that almost freed the imprisoned tears from their life sentence. He nodded and twirled Jason around to dip him down low. The blonde’s hair was almost touching the sparkling ground.
“Nimble,” Clark chuckled weakly.
I can’t say that I’m not lost and at fault
I can’t say that I don’t love the light and the dark
I can’t say that I don’t know that I am alive
And all of what I feel I could show
You tonight you tonight
Clark was suddenly feeling like he couldn’t breathe. It was as though all the walls were beginning to close in on him.
His chest was aching with a pain he had prayed he would never have to feel again. Why was Lex going to do this? Had Lex never loved him? Had it all just been some cruel game to play with his fragile heart? He had tried to convince himself otherwise, but now he was not so sure.
He remembered how he had walked in to find Lex fucking that guy on his desk. Lex had simply looked up at him and smiled as if nothing was wrong at all.
“Fuck,” he hissed when a salty prisoner escaped its emerald cell. He moved to wipe it away only to freeze when a luminous white hand gently caressed it away.
He watched in silent shock as Jason put a finger to his own lips and licked the salty tear drop. Cat green eyes looked up at him with speckles of vibrant gold around the dark pupils.
“This song,” Jason whispered close to his ear and his warm sweet breath tickled Clark, “This was your song…wasn’t it, Clark?”
Clark cursed himself for being weak. This was not good at all. Jason was going to think him some wounded puppy now. He wanted to smash something.
He silently nodded instead.
Oh you don’t mean nothing at all to me
No you don’t mean nothing at all to me
But you got what it takes to set me free
Oh you could mean everything to me
Jason held those big hands up in his and looked into Clark’s haunting emerald orbs that seemed to lead straight to his radiant soul. He did not know Clark that well at all, but he felt as though he could stay lost in those green pools forever. Lex was a goddamned fool for throwing this priceless treasure away.
Here was a man who would be good to him. Did he deserve a man like Clark?
“Come on,” Jason said kissing him on the cheek, “Let’s go to my place.”
Clark blinked and felt Jason tug his hands. He didn’t know if he should. He felt as though he would break like his mother’s fine china.
Jason smiled at him reassuringly and tugged on a big hand gently, “I’ve got milk and cookies.”
Clark had completely forgotten about having on a Santa hat the bouncer at the door had given him to wear. He blew the fuzzy white ball out of his eyes.
From my hands I could give you
Something that I made
From my mouth I could sing you another brick that I laid
From my body I could show you a place God knows
You should know the space is holy
Do you really want to go?
He followed after Jason who was holding his hand as if he were terrified that they would get separated by the pulsing throng. It comforted him to know that Jason was looking out for him. This was nice.
Jason’s mind on the other hand was chaotic as hell on a slow day. So many thoughts were zipping and zooming in and out of his thoughts.
Do I deserve this? Why am I doing this? I don’t even know him! He smells nice. He’s a good person. He would be good to me. He understands me. He invited me out tonight. That means he wants to try and know me.
No! That can’t happen! It will scare him! He will hate me!
Eh, I’ll get over it.
Lying pussy! You big fat 140 pound liar!
Fishy!
“Um, Jason,” Clark asked in confusion.
Jason stopped in his tracks and spun around to look at him with a feral look in his cat green eyes, “Yeah?”
“We’re in the ladies room…”
