Chapter 11/?

“You met Merlin?” Simon asked, in surprised voice.
“Yes. He taught me how to distinguish from good wizards from bad wizards and their spells.” Explained Jim.
“So, you're saying that what you felt was a bad spell?” Asked Simon.
“Yes, and we have to be careful.”
As they were discussing the case, Casey walked in, “I have information about the two victims.”
“Do you have their names?” Inquired Blair.
“Yes. Their names were Tania Kane and Shawn Nash.” Casey answered, as she read from the report.
“Thank you Casey.” Said Simon. “You can leave your report here.”
After Casey left, they began to go through the reports to find out more information on the two people. They also went through the report on what Casey could find out about the two people and their death. It was around two o’clock when they finally decided to take a break and get something to eat. While they were getting lunch, Blair decided to call Bill and find out how Harry was doing. He even got to talk to Harry, who talked non-stop about what fun he was having fun with grandpa. Thirty minutes later they went back to going over the details of the report.
It was five o’clock when Jim’s cell phone rang, “Ellison.”
“Jimmy, I was wondering when you will be home?” Inquired Bill
“I’m not sure. We have a lot of work. Is there a problem?” Jim asked, in a concerned voice.
No, everything is fine. I was wondering if Harry could stay overnight?” Inquired Bill.
“Sure dad. Hold on.” Turning toward Blair, “Dad wants to know if he could keep Harry overnight?”
“That would be great. I’ll pick him up tomorrow morning.”
“Dad, Blair and I will pick Harry up tomorrow morning.”
“That will be fine.” Williams said, with a smile.
“Thanks again dad.” Jim said, before hanging up. A minute later, they got back to the case. It was around nine o’clock when they finally decided to quit and go home and get some sleep.

10:00 a.m.

The next morning Jim and Blair woke up, washed, dressed and had breakfast before heading out to Bill’s house to get Harry. When they arrived, Lucy met them at the door.
“Come in boys. Bill and Harry are in the dinning room having breakfast.”
Walking into the *dinning* room, “Good morning dad.” Said Jim.
Hearing Jim’s voice, Harry looked up and smiled, “Jimmy, Blair come join us.”
“Cone joith.” Harry shrieked, while running toward them.
Bending down, Jim scooped Harry up, “Did you have fun staying with grandpa?” Jim asked, standing up.
“Ye. We plath and red and cooth.” Babbled Harry, with excitement.
“Really, wow. You must have had fun?” Jim said, making his voice excited too.
“Ye. Gran’pa sa’h I hel’h goo’h.” Harry said, in a breathless voice.
“He was wonderful help.” Praised Lucy.
Turning around, Harry gave her a huge smile, “Coo’ mor’?” Asked Harry.
“Of course. You can always help me cook when you come over.” Lucy said, smiling down at Harry.
“And I must say, he does a very good job.” Bill said, in a very proud voice.
“Can I try some?” Blair said, as he sat down.
With a huge smile on his face, Harry handed his pancakes to Blair, who took a bite and smiled at Harry.
“This is really good. Jim, you should try some.” Blair said, a he handed Jim some of the pancakes.”
With a smile of his own Jim accepted the offer, “Mmmmm, this is good.”
Giving both men a wide proud smile Harry went back to eating his breakfast.
“He seems to be having fun.” Blair said, giving Harry a proud smile.
“He was good. He also loves to learn new things, especially reading.” Bill said, in a very proud voice.
“I’ll start *teaching him, his alphabet when he’s three.
That way it will be easer for him when he goes to school.” Blair said, in a thoughtful voice.
“Isn’t three a little young?” Asked Jim.
“No. He will be starting school next year anyway.”
“Schooth?” Harry asked, looking up.”
“We’ll have work on his pronunciation.” Said Blair.
“We should start much sooner than three.” Advised Bill.
“We can start Monday.” Said Jim.
“That’s a great idea. I don’t have any classes and Jim just has to going through his case file and doesn’t need me as of yet.”
“I’ll always need you Chief.”
“You know what I mean.”
“I do. I have to go, see you tonight.” Jim said, as he kissed Blair goodbye.
“Where da go?” Harry asked, when he saw Jim leave.
“He went to work.” Blair answered, as he cleaned Harry up.
“Wha’ wor’?” Asked Harry.
“I’ll explain it to you when you’re older.” Blair said, as he finished cleaning and changing Harry.
Before leaving, “Thank you for looking after him, Bill.”
“It was my pleasure. Bring him over anytime.” Bill said, as he kissed Harry on the forehead.
“Say bye to grandpa.”
“Bye.” Harry said, as he waived to Bill.
After leaving Bill’s house, the first thing Blair did was drive to a bookstore and pick out some children’s books. Blair then drove them home, where he fixed some snacks for Harry. While Harry was eating, Blair sat next to him to show him the alphabet book he bought.
“Wat dat.” Harry asked, looking at the book.
“This is a very special book. It will teach you many things.” Blair answered, as he opened to the first page. “See this is A and is stands for apple. Can you say Apple?”
“Appthle.”
“A…p….p…l…e.” Blair spelled out. And from there they did the letter A.

12:30 p.m.

It was an hour later when Blair decided to quit for that day and let Harry go and play. What surprised Blair was when Harry took all the books with him, and sat down on the floor and began to look through the books.
“Da, wha tha?” Harry asked, showing Blair a picture of an elephant.
“That baby is an elephant. It makes a very strong noise.” Blair answered, before he made a trumpeting sound that elephants make, which caused Harry to laugh. “Think that’s funny?” Blair said, as he began to tickle Harry.
“No, no tic’le.” Laughed Harry.
“Ok Harry, no tickle.” Blair said, as he let Harry get back to looking through the books.

2:00 p.m.

It was about two hours later when the phone rang, “ Ellison-Sandburg.”
“Hey Chief, how’s everything?”
“Everything is fine. I’m teaching Harry how to read and about animals.”
“What has he learned so far?” Jim asked, in an excited voice.
“So far the letter A, but he knows what an elephant is.” Said Blair, and a second later Harry made the trumpeting noise.
“Was that Harry?” Jim asked, in a surprised voice.
“Yes, and that is after two hours since he heard the noise.” Blair answered, in a proud voice.
“That’s great. Tell him I’m very proud of him.” Jim said, in a proud voice, before hanging up.
“That was dad, and he says he’s very proud of you for learning your letters.” Blair said, as he gave Harry a smile.
It was fifteen minutes later when Blair noticed Harry yawing and rubbing his eyes. Without saying a word, he picked him up and walked toward his room; where Blair laid Harry down for his nap. When he was sure that Harry was asleep, Blair went back to the living room; where he continued to read his textbook.

Major Crimes
1:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, at Major Crimes Jim was going through the report of the two bodies that were found. The report was very strange since the corner couldn’t find the source of their death, except a small hole in the back of their head. The hole didn’t make any sense, since it there was no blood or any kind of damage around the hole. What was even stranger was that when Jim first touched the bodies, he received a terrible shock from them. This strange occurrence is what had Jim going through the report from the morgue, and his report of his memories over and over again, trying to find something that would make sense.
It was around eight o’clock when Jim finally decided to go home, and try again tomorrow, when he was rested. He even thought of asking Blair to come with him and go over the reports, and maybe see what he was been missing. Jim arrived home around nine o’clock, to find Blair reading to Harry, who was listing with avid interest. With a smile on his face, Jim walked into the loft and quietly walked toward the couch.
“Da!!” Harry yelled, when he saw Jim.
Turning around, Blair watch with amusement as Harry ran towards Jim, “How did it go?”
“I can’t get anything from the reports. I was wondering if you would come in tomorrow and go through them, and see if you could figure out the reports. Maybe you’ll see something.” Inquired Jim.
“Sure. We’ll drop Harry at *you’re* fathers.” Agreed Blair. “Harry, tell da, what you’ve learned so far.”
That’s when Harry went off about his day, and it took all of Jim’s will power not to grab the boy and hug him.
Seeing Jim was about to zone out, “Harry honey, why don’t you go play and let daddy get some rest.” Blair said, in his guide voice.
Looking at Jim, Harry saw that Jim’s eye’s were glazing over, “Da, tie’?” Whispered Harry.
“Yes, baby daddy is tired. Why don’t you go play in your room.” Blair said, as he was preparing a washcloth. Placing the washcloth over Jim’s eyes, “Did you *read all read,* without taking a break?”
“I wanted to find something in those reports that would make sense.” Jim said, in a tired voice.
“I’ll come with you to the station tomorrow, and see what I can find.” Blair said, in his guide voice.
“I could us the help. No matter how much I go through the reports, they just don’t make any sense.”
“Maybe, you need a new pair of eyes, but for now just relax. Why don’t I fix you something to eat, and then we’ll go to bed?”
“That would be great. I seem to have forgotten when I ate last.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll figure something out.”
While Jim ate his dinner, Blair put Harry to be bed and then they also went to bed.
