Priceless

The doors to Vasey's room swung open to reveal the impressive sight of Guy of Gisborne.



Vasey ached for him every time he saw him. He was so handsome and sexy with that smouldering hint of menace positively oozing from him.



'Gisborne, come on in'. Guy immediately was on his guard. Vasey sounding so jovial was never a good sign.

'I have some rather splendid news', Vasey continued affably.



' Not only has Bonchurch's brooch been found ( and by the young lady it was intended for. Isn't that lucky?) But also we know where the fugitives have been hiding all this time'.



Guy was certain that what Vasey was so happy about had very little to do with either the brooch or the runaway villeins. Normally they would have been forgotten about long ago. So what was he so gleeful about?



' They're in Leicester.' Vasey continued. ' Can you credit it? Not the first place to spring to mind to be sure'. Guy was bemused. Vasey was prattling, not actually saying very much.



' I see I'm confusing you poor lad'. Vasey stroked Guy's cheek, prompting the younger man to suspect him of being intoxicated.



' Let me elucidate'. Vasey walked around Guy, like a cat stalking a bird. 'There comes a time, my dear Gisborne when a man needs to take stock and think what really matters in life.



Now you and I both know that you are aware that I know about your little games with Madame La Comtesse.



With me so far?' Guy nodded slowly.



This was why Vasey hadn't just gone ahead and told Bonchurch. Too much scope for him to wriggle out of it. He had a cold dread that he knew what Vasey was thinking now.

Guy was feeling dizzy with all Vasey's pacing and was heartily glad when he was offered a seat. Not so glad that Vasey was standing behind him leaning on his shoulders.



' Think about it Gisborne. What when you get down to it have you got from La Comtesse that is of any real value ?'



' What about love, friendship, affection, respect? ' Guy snarled, beginning to understand all too well.



Vasey chuckled. 'Oh Gisborne Gisborne. You're talking like her now. All those things are like dust in the wind.



I'm talking power, status, wealth. How would you like to own Locksley outright and become the Earl of Huntingdon.



Bonchurch is very influential at court you know. Just imagine if you brought back his property for him. The lad has talent I hear. Bonchurch wants to exploit it to the full.' Vasey's face was close to Guy's now. He was speaking very softly into the younger man's ear and his hands were trailing slowly over his shoulders and chest bulging invitingly under the leather.



'On the other hand you could continue your adultery with his lawfully wedded wife and keep being infected with her woolly headed liberalism.



I don't think I could keep the news from the Earl for much longer if you won't do this small thing and how could I let Locksley be run any longer by a man letting his heart rule his head
