Chapter Nine
Phoenix stood before a black altar with candles lit all around him. Phyre stood at his side as the dark priest performed the ceremony of binding that would bind the two of them together for all eternity.
Phyre leaned down and whispered in Phoenix’s ear, “Are you sure,” he asked, “That this is what you want?”
Phoenix looked up into Phyre’s eyes and smiled, “Of course it is Golem.”
Phyre snickered, “Continue.”
The dark priest laid the Grimoure upon the altar and went through all the ritualistic gestures and spells. Phoenix’s emerald eyes were wide in wonder at the magic being cast.
Phyre felt wonderful when he put the gold eternity ring on Phoenix’s finger. Tears fell from Phoenix’s eyes as he did the same for Phyre. He wished more than anything that his parents could see him, but then again they would probably not be happy with him becoming the consort to a demon king.
The dark priest smiled and handed them the jewel chalice to drink from. Phyre drank first and then Phoenix did. The wine was sweet as sugar and burned as it went down. Phyre then laid his hands upon the dark book and a bright flash went off and the dark priest pronounced, “I now proclaim you Lord and Consort of the Underworld.”
Phyre took Phoenix in his arms and slid his fingers down his red silk clad body and smiled, “Now you’re mine forever.”
Phoenix kissed him full on the lips, “And a lot longer.”
Phyre took his lips in his own and the Underworld shook in reverence as the two of them vanished in a roar of flames.

Piper was drunk as hell and Paige was not too far behind. Both of them had packed up cartons of wine from P3 and orbed home to drink their worries away.
Piper was laughing hysterically, “Our lives are so screwed up.”
“I know,” Paige agreed pouring her self another glass of bubbly fun.
“We get everybody we love killed,” Piper howled exploding with laughter, “Boom, dead!”
Paige snorted and spilt some of her drink, “Well, we are charmed.”
“No, no,” Piper said, “Cursed.”
Paige snickered as she watched Piper try to stand up and stumble to the table to get another bottle of fun, “First Prue gets blown through a window and bleeds to death,” she said, “And Phoebe gets impaled by a metal rod.”
Paige nodded, “Not to mention our mother drowning, Grams heart attack thingy, and then my parents got blown up to.”
“Andy,” Piper yelled out of the blue, “Got him killed to.”
Paige snorted, “Never met the bitch.”
Piper put a finger to her chin in thought, “Oh yeah.”
“Who else did we get killed,” Paige asked.
Piper took a big drink and swaggered back over to her chair, “Too many people to count,” she said, “Let’s get some paper and tally it up.”
Paige shook her head, “I’m drunk, not stupid Piper,” she laughed, “I’m not falling down those stairs killing myself like poor Grams did.”
Piper howled with laughter, “It was a mighty fall alright,” she said making hand rolling motions, “Boom, crack, splat!”
“Well,” both turned to see Grams looking at them with a raised eyebrow, “I really must say Piper dear it was more graceful than that.”
Both girls snorted and then howled with laughter as Piper elbowed Paige, “And then,” she said, “They come back to haunt your ass till you die.”
Paige laughed taking another big drink when Leo orbed in, “What the hell?”
“What the hell,” Piper said pointing a finger at the wall thinking it was him, “Indeed.”
Paige smiled drunkenly, “Wine?”
Grams and Leo both looked at each other and shouted at the same time, “Patty!”
Piper laughed, “Now they gone and done it,” she snorted, “They’ve called mommy on us.”
“Gee,” Paige slurred, “I sure hope she doesn’t send us to our room without supper.”
Piper howled, “That would be terrible!”
“I know,” Paige laughed.
Patty appeared in a swirl of bright lights to see her two daughters drunk as hell laughing their asses off at nothing that would seem funny to a sober person. She looked over at her mother and Leo, “What’s happened now?”
Piper and Paige both sung out at once, “Oh where, oh where, has our little brother gone?”
Paige continued, “Oh where, oh where, could he be?”
Paige snorted and finished, “In hell more than like…ly.”
Grams snapped her fingers and the wine bottle flew out of Piper’s hand and shattered against the wall. Both girls laughed, “We got lots more.”
“Then I’ll just keep breaking them,” Grams told them turning to Patty, “Do something!”
Patty looked at her girls, “Tell me what happened.”
Piper laughed, “Well, you see mom, it was tragic.”
“Very tragic,” Paige said, “I cried for a good while.”
Piper elbowed her for interrupting her, “It was so tragic it was tragic, ok.”
“I see,” Patty said trying to keep her composure and not shake Piper till her teeth rattled in her head, “So, what happened?”
“Basically,” Piper slurred, “The big bad demon spirited him away.”
“More like his demon boyfriend,” Paige said, “Who he has dated for year’s flames him away.”
“Did he go willingly,” Patty cried.
“He practically threw himself in the bastard’s arms,” Paige said.
“The little tramp,” Piper snorted, and both girls laughed.
Patty looked at her mother, “He’s lost.”
Grams took a deep breath. He chose evil during the twenty-four hour period. Evil would slowly start to consume him. She took a deep breath, not that she needed it since she was dead already but old habits die hard, pun intended. She walked over to the girls and seethed, “Get off your drunk asses and sober up and get to looking in that book!”
Piper turned her head around to glare at all seven of her, “Now look here old woman,” she slurred pointing at the window, “I’m drinking with my sis. You know the one I have yet to get killed.”
Paige snorted, “Uh-huh.”
“Your brother needs you Piper,” Leo said.
“Oh,” she said, “He needs something alright.”
Paige laughed, “What?”
“I’m not sure,” she said rubbing her fingers through her hair, “You’ll be the first to know when I think of it.”
“Ok,” Paige told her and then promptly passed out into the floor.
All three of them watched Piper nudge her with her shoe, “Hey, wake up,” she yelled, “Pansy!”

Phoenix was lying on hid bed of black silk trying to compose some lyrics to a new song. He could not hear himself think due to the storm that was raging outside the newly purchased Luthor castle and the constant chanting of demons down the hall from his room.
He was about to compose a new line when lightning stuck a tree outside his window and the boom of thunder deafened him for a second. He let out a low growl that ascended into a shriek of rage. The Seer quickly flashed in, “Is all well my Lord?”
His emerald eyes snapped on her, “No,” he bellowed, “I can’t concentrate with all this thunder!”
She watched him get off the bed and stalk to the door opening it and shouting, “And all this stupid chanting has got to go!”
A demon shimmered before him and closed the door. Phoenix just stood there reaching the point of nuclear detonation. The Seer saw this and quickly gave him something to drink, “How goes the lovely song you have been writing as of late?”
He smiled as he took the drink offered him and took a sip, “You’re trying to change the subject,” he said as she tried to deny it, “Don’t, I saw you doing this in a vision.”
That stopped her mouth from moving as she watched him continue to drink the potion she had made for him. This potion would make him start to become darker and hunger for power. He smiled darkly at her, “I even know that you think I am just like my dead sister Phoebe,” he cooed softly, “You could not be more wrong.”
The Seer looked at him in shock. Perhaps his powers were growing too quickly. She watched him pick up a bottle of rose water off the table and threw it at the wall opposite her head yelling, “I’m worse!”
Red silk billowed around him as he threw open the doors and shoved the demon to the ground walking by him with the Seer hot on his heels giving all kinds of excuses why he should not disturb them. He stalked down the hall mad as hell fire that Kal had been ignoring him and not visiting him. He really hated being ignored and neglected like this. It was always work, work, work, kill, kill, and more kill. God that was so boring.
The chanting was cut short and all the demons turned to see the consort standing in the open doorway. Phyre moved from out of the circle, “Phe?”
Phoenix looked right at him, “I’m bored.”
Phyre stepped forward, “We are in the middle of an important ceremony.”
Phoenix glared at him and stopped himself from stomping his foot like a child, “Not anymore your not.”
Phyre looked over at him, “Have the Seer take you shopping or go to a club love, I’ll join you shortly.”
Phoenix closed his eyes to hide his confusion, “Excuse me?”
A demon put a hand on his shoulder to return him to his room when his eyes snapped open glowing red as fire and his voice deepened, “Kneel!”
The demon fell to his knees hard and gasped in pain as Phoenix gazed around the room, “Everybody, light up your fireballs and aim them at your neighbor.”
The Seer walked in and her eyes went wide, “Oh shit.”
All the demons stood with fireballs aimed at one another and Phyre got to his side, “What are you doing?”
“Send them away,” Phoenix hissed, “Or I’ll have them blow each other to hell.”
Phyre looked at him bewildered, “Phe?”
Phoenix snapped, “There lives mean nothing to me Kal!”
Phyre took him in his arms, “I know you’ve felt neglected and I’m sorry for it Phe, but these demons have a purpose.”
Phoenix smiled darkly into his blue eyes, “To have their dying screams amuse me if you don’t send them away?”
The Seer was terrified. The man before her was a thousand times scarier than the Queen had ever been.
Phyre closed his eyes, “I’ll send them away, just calm down.”
“I am calm,” Phoenix yelled, “Tell them to go now or I’ll have them open fire!”
Cries and screams filled the room as the demons went up in smoke. The Seer put a shaky hand over her mouth in shock. He had just had a whole room filled with demons vanquish themselves just by telling them to.
Phyre was glaring at Phoenix darkly who was biting his lower lip. He smiled at Phyre, “Oops.”
“Phoenix,” Phyre said with some patience, “Your sister had an excuse or so the Seer had informed me, she was pregnant. What’s your excuse love?”
Phoenix glared at the Seer over his shoulder mouthing, “I’ll deal with you later.”
He watched her pale considerably and he looked up into Phyre’s eyes and smiled beautifully, “I’m just a bitch?”
*********************************************
A black limo pulled around to the front doors of the Luthor castle. The big wooden doors opened and Phoenix ran down the steps yelling, “Come on you two!”
Kal walked out all dressed in black leather with the Seer right behind him. She felt like an idiot all did up like this. She felt like a damn human. She was the Seer for god’s sake not some tart looking to get laid at some night club. She did have to admit though, when she looked in the mirror she looked damn hot.
She needed a drink.
********************************************************
Club Mystika was really wild tonight. People were drinking and dancing like there was no tomorrow and for some, tomorrow would never come.
The big man at the door saw the limo pull up and Phoenix get out first followed by his husband and the Seer. Phyre pushed people out of there way and the man opened the door so they could get inside.
The music was loud and the energy was high. Phoenix took Phyre by the hand and the Seer followed moving through the crowd to the beat of the music. Phoenix walked up to the table where the manager of the club was sitting, “Hey Kyle!”
The handsome bald man smiled, “Phoenix, how have you been?”
Phoenix smiled warmly, “I have been good,” he said, “I have a new song I want to try out.”
Kyle laughed, “Well, by all means, you know what to do.”
Phyre had gotten use to Phoenix using his voice to get what he wanted. He was just glad it had no effect on him otherwise he would never be allowed to leave the bedroom.
The Seer was smiling at Kyle when Phoenix turned to look at Phyre, “Will you sing with me?”
Phyre smiled, “Of course, which one?”
Phoenix laughed, “Thanks. Come on.”
They both left the Seer to her own devices, and right now she had her eye on a certain handsome bald white man who was offering her a drink that she desperately needed right now.

Phyre stood in front of the mirror looking at him self. Phoenix had cut places in his shirt to reveal his golden skin in all the right places. He left his leather pants alone and for that he was thankful. He did think that the eyeliner was a bit much, but oh well.
He felt hands wrap around his narrow waist and Phoenix smiling over his shoulder. Phyre smiled and stepped back to get a look at him, and his breath left him. Phoenix looked like an angel which had fallen from the highest heavens.
He had on the most provocative, seductive, come fuck me now if it would not kill me outfit on ever. He had no words to describe it. It flowed and moved in places one would think should be illegal. It left a lot to the imagination and then again it left very little. His outfit was so black it looked blue. His eyeliner was so dark it made him look like an alabaster statue come to life. Phyre wanted to do nothing more than to just crush his lips against those glossy black ones. But the one thing that made him want to dangerously cream himself right then and there were those emerald orbs staring into him. He wanted to lose him self in them forever.
He smiled, “You’re a vision in black.”
Phoenix smiled and turned his face away. Even after all these years he still blushed at compliments. Phyre took him gently by the chin, “Thank you.”
“For what,” Phoenix asked.
Phyre brought his face closer, “For,” and he kissed him and pulled back slightly, “For loving me.”
Phoenix wiped the black gloss from his lips, “I will always love you Kal," he said taking his ring hand in his tracing the symbol, “For eternity.”
****************************************************************
Kyle stepped out from behind the curtain with the Seer watching him from the side smiling as he addressed the crowd of dancers. Phoenix could not wait to sing his heart out. It had been weeks since he had been on a stage.
He could not help laughing as Kyle finally announced what was going on. Joy flooded him as he heard the crowd explode into cheers. Phyre squeezed his hand and smiled as they took there places. Phyre was a quick learner and did what his love told him to do.
What sounded to Phyre like death metal music began to play and he was a little taken aback by it. His Phoenix usually sang songs that were either fluffy or full of meaning. He noticed that the crowd had gone silent from what he guessed to be shock and then they went crazy when the curtain opened to see an ethereal Phoenix on a swing with a haunting forest behind him.
Phoenix hid his smile. He was going to use magic to make it all look like special effects. He gave up thinking and just let the power of the music sweep him away in its seductive grasp. He could feel Phyre lurking in the shadows of the forest like a deadly predator waiting for his cue. Phoenix began to swing softly as the music flooded the senses. Haunting lyrics flowed out from within his throat in a misty seductive haze that enchanted the dancers. Mist began to appear out of no where and silk billowed.
Laid to the river
Midsummer I waved
A “V” of black swans
On with hope to the grave
And through Red September
With skies Fire paved
I begged you appear
Like a thorn for the Holy Ones
Phyre stepped out from the shadows and his voice came from his throat all ragged and demonic.
Cold was my soul
Untold was the pain
I faced when you left me
A rose in the rain…
So I swore to the *Rock*
That never, enchained
Would your dark nails of faith
Be pushed through my veins again
Phyre walked behind Phoenix to push him on the swing as the dancers were jumping up and down in front of the stage. Phoenix began to sing and balls of red light began to appear and dance along with the mist.
Barred on your tomb
I’m a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above onto me?
For once upon a time
From the binds of your loneliness
I could always find the slot for your sacred key
Phyre’s demonic voice sang through as Phoenix let the balls of light dance around him as he swung.
Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart, that bareness prison
Discolors all the tunneled visions
Sunsetter…
Nymphetamine
Sick and week from my condition
This lust, this demonic condition
To Him alone in full submission
None better
Nymphetamine
The music went wild and hard and Phyre’s voice raged.
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
Nymphetamine boy…
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
My Nymphetamine boy…
Phyre’s voice became a low demonic whisper that echoed all around the club having some of the dancers to look around.
Wicked with your charm
I’m circled like prey
Back in the forest
Where whispers persuade
More sugar trails
More White Phantom lay
Than pillars of salt…
Phoenix sang on as he jumped from the swing in a hiss of silk that swirled all around him with the mist and lights that made the audience cheer. He walked to the edge of the stage where people where running their hands upon and down his legs.
Fold to my arms
Hold their message away
And dance out to the moon
As we did in those golden days
The Seer was really enjoying herself as she allowed Kyle to dance close to her. She had to admit the boy knew how to enchant the masses.
Phyre stalked up behind him and wrapped his arms around his slender waist and sung to his left as they moved to the beat, if that is what one would call it.
Christening stars
I remember the way
We were needle and spoon
Mislaid in the burning hay
Oh did that ever bring back memories that night when he and Kal had been rolling around in the hay in the barn for him to give Kal his first hand job. His dad had been walking out to the barn when a loud sound made him look up to see chips falling from where something had shot through the roof of the barn.
Phoenix moved to pull away from him but Phyre pulled him back and Phoenix moved behind him and nibbled on his neck. Phyre hissed as Phoenix sang.
Barred on your tomb
I’m a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above onto me?
For once upon a time
From the binds of your loneliness
I could always find the slot for your sacred key
Phyre spun around and fell at Phoenix’s feet and voiced out.
Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart, that bareness prison
Discolors all the tunneled visions
Sunsetter…
Nymphetamine
Sick and week from my condition
This lust, this demonic condition
To Him alone in full submission
None better
Nymphetamine
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
Nymphetamine boy…
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
Nymphetamine boy…
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
My Nymphetamine boy…
The song ended with Phyre lying at Phoenix’s feet in full submission before him. The red balls of lights and mist slowly flickered and began to fade away as did the music. The crowd went wild with cheers as Phoenix kissed Phyre and the curtain closed. Both of them stepped out from the curtain and bowed. Phoenix was ecstatic. They really loved the song. The Seer actually caught herself cheering as Kyle was giving her neck and just decided to hell with everything right now. It had been hundreds of years since the last time she got laid.
************************************************************
Phoenix was lying in a bath that was scented with pure jasmine oil. The club had been a blast and he was completely exhausted. It had taken the threat of death to get the Seer to leave the club with them because for some odd reason she could not get enough drink and Kyle. Phyre had told him that he had some business to take care of in Metropolis. So, Phoenix had the entire castle to himself and his demon dog which was absolutely adorable.
He reached out of the tub to run his fingers over the sleek white fur as the dog looked over the edge of the tub at his master with eyes the color of blue fire. Phoenix smiled at him, “Who’s a good puppy?”
The demon barked once and licked his hand. Phoenix laughed, “I’ll be done in a minute, god, your so impatient Spider.”
Spider yipped as if to say, “Nuh-uh.”
Phoenix snorted and stood up causing water to roll off his porcelain skin. He pulled the towel from the rack and dried himself off. Spider trotted over with a midnight blue silk robe in his mouth and Phoenix took it with a thank you. He slipped the robe on and walked from the room with Spider trotting right beside him.
Phoenix opened the doors to the master bedroom and closed them as Spider jumped up on the bed. He walked over to open the door that led out to the balcony so he could get some fresh midnight air.
He gazed up at the soft glow of the full moon and sighed. Phyre had only been gone for a few hours and he missed him already. He vanished in a roar of flames and stood in the garden, walking to the fountain.
He heard a yip and turned to look up to see Spider looking down at him from the balcony. He watched the demon jump up on the railing and then ran on top of the air which kind of unnerved Phoenix a little bit down to him. Phoenix just smiled in wonder, “You really are a good doggie.”
Spider nudged him with his nose and shook his head, “Ok, sometimes.”
He sat down on the edge of the tranquil fountain decked with roses of all kinds of colors running his hand across the surface of the fountain quoting Princess Jasmine, “It’s all so magical.”
Spider yipped and curled up at his feet with his pointy white ears standing at attention. Phoenix giggled and continued to look in the fountain. He never really got to know his sisters, and he missed them. He really missed Chloe.
The both of them stayed like that for some time until Phoenix put his hand to his mouth to yawn. Spider moved for him so he could get to his feet to make his way back down the primrose path to the castle door to the kitchen. The two of them went inside and Spider ran around the kitchen in circles, “Hungry?”
A shrill yip sounded like, “Yes!”
He opened the fridge and pulled out a left over chicken breast and held it out to Spider. Spider took a sniff and snatched it with his jaws and ran off to eat his prize from under the table.
Phoenix flamed into the bedroom and walked over to his mahogany dresser and opened the bottom drawer and pulled out his most prized possession from his earlier years. His teddy bear that he got from his prize money from winning the karaoke contest at the Talon. He looked at the pictures of his parents and put his fingers to his mouth and then placed them on each of the pictures.
He held the teddy to his chest tightly and heard Spider scratching at the door. He walked over and let him in and Spider jumped up on the bed to make him self comfortable. Phoenix walked over and pulled the covers down and got under them. He held his teddy close and sighed, “Kal.”
Spider curled up at the foot of the bed and stood guard all night. Demon hounds can’t close their eyes. They are forever guarding something that is considered too precious to close their eyes even for a second.

Kyle stepped out from behind the curtain with the Seer watching him from the side smiling as he addressed the crowd of dancers. Phoenix could not wait to sing his heart out. It had been weeks since he had been on a stage.
He could not help laughing as Kyle finally announced what was going on. Joy flooded him as he heard the crowd explode into cheers. Phyre squeezed his hand and smiled as they took there places. Phyre was a quick learner and did what his love told him to do.
What sounded to Phyre like death metal music began to play and he was a little taken aback by it. His Phoenix usually sang songs that were either fluffy or full of meaning. He noticed that the crowd had gone silent from what he guessed to be shock and then they went crazy when the curtain opened to see an ethereal Phoenix on a swing with a haunting forest behind him.
Phoenix hid his smile. He was going to use magic to make it all look like special effects. He gave up thinking and just let the power of the music sweep him away in its seductive grasp. He could feel Phyre lurking in the shadows of the forest like a deadly predator waiting for his cue. Phoenix began to swing softly as the music flooded the senses. Haunting lyrics flowed out from within his throat in a misty seductive haze that enchanted the dancers. Mist began to appear out of no where and silk billowed.
Laid to the river
Midsummer I waved
A “V” of black swans
On with hope to the grave
And through Red September
With skies Fire paved
I begged you appear
Like a thorn for the Holy Ones
Phyre stepped out from the shadows and his voice came from his throat all ragged and demonic.
Cold was my soul
Untold was the pain
I faced when you left me
A rose in the rain…
So I swore to the *Rock*
That never, enchained
Would your dark nails of faith
Be pushed through my veins again
Phyre walked behind Phoenix to push him on the swing as the dancers were jumping up and down in front of the stage. Phoenix began to sing and balls of red light began to appear and dance along with the mist.
Barred on your tomb
I’m a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above onto me?
For once upon a time
From the binds of your loneliness
I could always find the slot for your sacred key
Phyre’s demonic voice sang through as Phoenix let the balls of light dance around him as he swung.
Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart, that bareness prison
Discolors all the tunneled visions
Sunsetter…
Nymphetamine
Sick and week from my condition
This lust, this demonic condition
To Him alone in full submission
None better
Nymphetamine
The music went wild and hard and Phyre’s voice raged.
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
Nymphetamine boy…
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
My Nymphetamine boy…
Phyre’s voice became a low demonic whisper that echoed all around the club having some of the dancers to look around.
Wicked with your charm
I’m circled like prey
Back in the forest
Where whispers persuade
More sugar trails
More White Phantom lay
Than pillars of salt…
Phoenix sang on as he jumped from the swing in a hiss of silk that swirled all around him with the mist and lights that made the audience cheer. He walked to the edge of the stage where people where running their hands upon and down his legs.
Fold to my arms
Hold their message away
And dance out to the moon
As we did in those golden days
The Seer was really enjoying herself as she allowed Kyle to dance close to her. She had to admit the boy knew how to enchant the masses.
Phyre stalked up behind him and wrapped his arms around his slender waist and sung to his left as they moved to the beat, if that is what one would call it.
Christening stars
I remember the way
We were needle and spoon
Mislaid in the burning hay
Oh did that ever bring back memories that night when he and Kal had been rolling around in the hay in the barn for him to give Kal his first hand job. His dad had been walking out to the barn when a loud sound made him look up to see chips falling from where something had shot through the roof of the barn.
Phoenix moved to pull away from him but Phyre pulled him back and Phoenix moved behind him and nibbled on his neck. Phyre hissed as Phoenix sang.
Barred on your tomb
I’m a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above onto me?
For once upon a time
From the binds of your loneliness
I could always find the slot for your sacred key
Phyre spun around and fell at Phoenix’s feet and voiced out.
Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart, that bareness prison
Discolors all the tunneled visions
Sunsetter…
Nymphetamine
Sick and week from my condition
This lust, this demonic condition
To Him alone in full submission
None better
Nymphetamine
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
Nymphetamine boy…
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
Nymphetamine boy…
Nymphetamine, Nymphetamine…
My Nymphetamine boy…
The song ended with Phyre lying at Phoenix’s feet in full submission before him. The red balls of lights and mist slowly flickered and began to fade away as did the music. The crowd went wild with cheers as Phoenix kissed Phyre and the curtain closed. Both of them stepped out from the curtain and bowed. Phoenix was ecstatic. They really loved the song. The Seer actually caught herself cheering as Kyle was giving her neck and just decided to hell with everything right now. It had been hundreds of years since the last time she got laid.
