Chapter 10
I am going to try to write this. Can't promise it will be my best work but hey hope you enjoy. It will be done in different areas. Meaning different homes. Now for the disclaimer thingy....
Everyone looks up as a very tired Cody comes walking in.
Cody: *sits down and lets his head fall to the table*
Vinnie: *looks up with concern in his eyes* You all right there Cody?
Cody: *groans*
Paulie looks over from standing behind the author typing.
"Hey give the boy some slack. He spent five hours last night taking care of business."
Vinnie: OH. Who was it?
Cody : "Whitney."
Vinnie stares with wonderment. Then Christy walks into the room.
"Hey guys."
*Author looks up and glares*
Christy walks over to Paulie and kisses him.
Author flies out of chair and starts beating the crap out of her main character.
Vinnie and Paulie " YATTTTTZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! CAT FIGHT!"
Both then run over to try to tear the two of them apart.
Cody *raises head* ShadowandFlamePanther does not now nor will ever own anything that is associated with Orange County Choppers. She does own Christy, even if she is beating the tar out of her right now for kissing Paulie. Flames will be used to burn Whitney at the stake yet again. "
*groans and then walks over to help break out the cat fight." DON'T MAKE ME GET POP'S IN HERE!" *gets smacked by Christy then walks out the door*
Chapter 10
Cody rolled over in bed and looked at the woman laying next to him. He shivered at the thought of what he had done the night before. The girl opened her eyes and gasped.
"Cody?"
He nodded his head. "Before you freak Whitney let me explain."
Whitney laid her head down to listen.
"The thing is you really hurt Paulie with what you were saying to your friends. He didn't know about the will until a few months ago. He had already broken up with you because of what you did. Whitney, I am not taking sides here but one of the main reasons they picked Christy is because she took care of his family when no one else would. She kept their home and purchased them another one. Who knows any other reasons that Pop's picked them but you and Paulie are over. There is no chance of you getting him back. Him and Christy will have a baby and they more than likely will get married. But there will never again be you and Paulie. You need to let him go before someone gets really hurt. Do you understand?"
Whitney nodded her head but in her mind she wasn't listening to a word that Cody said. Paulie was her's. He always will be and now all she had to do was come up with a way to get rid of Christy.
Paulie was the first to wake up that next morning. He pulled Christy closer to him and then shivered as a cold wind wound it's way around his body. He shook it off to the New York weather and got up to get dressed for the day.
Later on at the shop Cody looked at Paulie. "Paulie. Listen to me. I don't think Whitney is going to give up that easily. Whatever you do don't let Christy go no where's alone. She knows that while Christy is around then she will never have you."
Paulie looked up into Cody's eyes. "Cody. Nothing is going to happen to Christy. She is either always with me or with Lucy or her family. She never goes anywhere's alone. Trust me ok?"
Cody nodded and in his heart prayed that Paulie was right.
Three weeks later Christy was sitting in the living room waiting on Paulie to get home from work. She looked at the clock and noticed it was 3:00 and decided to take a small nap. She went into their room and laid down. At 5:00 pm the phone rang and she answered it seeing it was from the shop. She jerked it up and listened to the person on the other end of the phone. Just as the phone dropped from her hands, Paulie jerked the front door open and ran into the room, gathering her in his arms and let her cry as much as she wanted.
A few hours later found Christy and Paulie standing outside of Mary's door. Paulie kissed her cheek and let Christy go inside alone. She slowly walked over to the bed and sat down in the chair there.
"Mamma?"
Mary turned her head with labored breathing. "My Christy."
Christy took her hand and smiled.
"I am so sorry I kept this hid from you children, I hold the deepest regret for you my daughter. Had I had another daughter I would have wanted it to be you. You helped us when no one else would."
Christy wiped her eyes. "Mamma. I would carry this pain for you if I could."
Mary nodded. "I know honey. But it is my time to go. I shouldn't have waited this long. But listen to me here. Take Paulie and love him with all your being. You will need each others support in the coming months and years." She slowly placed her hand on Christy's stomach and let it rest there. "I will always be here to watch over you and your child."
Christy dropped her head. "Mamma. It will be all right. I can get.."
Mary shook her head. "Christy. You have to let me go. I will not be in pain but be here always for your father and brothers. Don't you dare let anyone tell you that they are not your family. We are Christy always and forever." She took a breath. "Your pregnant even as we speak."
Christy shook her head. "No mamma. There is no way. It is still too early. I haven't even missed yet."
Mary smiled. "You are indeed with child. Now seeing you happy was my final wish. I love you Christy and I love my family as well. Please do not grieve."
Christy laid her head on her mother's chest and laid there with it raising up and down gently. Within minutes she noticed the movements had stopped and she could no longer hear the heartbeats. She got up and tucked her mamma in one last time and then opened the door slowly. She took one look at Clint, Paulie and Paul. "Mamma is gone." And then they rushed to catch her as she hit the floor.
Three days later every person who was working at Orange County Choppers and Orange County Ironworks were all in attendance at the church. In all total over 100 people had come to pay their respects to Mary. The minister completed his words and then nodded to Christy. She stood up and slowly walked to the front of the church behind the podium. She slowly unfolded her paper and then looked up with tear filled eyes.
"Today we are here to honor this woman. Even though she has left this world, her memory will not be forgotten. She wanted us all to be happy and not to grieve for her but how can you not feel some sadness. I know the most of you don't know me but my name is Christy. Mary was a kind woman I can testify to that. In a desperate act of kindness in her heart she took a beaten and abused teenager into her home and treated that lost child as her own, as if she had birthed it from her body. The child in time called her Mamma and learned to love again. Learned to trust and not to give up on her dreams. When this child's parents turned their backs on it Mary was there. She was there through all the heartaches, all the breakups, and all the pain. She was even there the first time her children," she looked towards her brothers and sister, "got into their Dadda's liquor stash and got drunk with hangover's the first time. Did she fuss and yell? No. She let us sleep it off and fed us good after we had stopped throwing up so much. When my world fell apart a couple of months ago I didn't want my mom or my dad. I wanted my Mamma. She was and will be my mother till my dieing day. I am gonna miss you Mamma. Where ever you may be, I pray you are no longer hurting."
She stood there for a minute until Paulie walked up and took her in his arms. He led her back to her seat and then took his own beside his father. The preacher waited a few minutes and then nodded to them. Paul, Paulie, Vinnie, Mikey, Cody and Danny walked up and took their places beside the white casket. As the doors opened they lifted as one and carried the woman to the hearse for her final ride to her resting place.
After a short service at the site the family left in the cars. Paulie and Vinnie stood there with the rest of them and Paul turned finally and met their eyes."Go to Christy and Jamie. They need you more than ever. Tell Clint I will be there shortly."
The two of them nodded and went to the car. Paulie stopped and watched as his father finally sunk to the ground and his shoulders shook as he cried for his sister in law. He took a breath and forced his tears to stay down as him and Vinnie drove to the house where they knew the girls would be.
A/N/ I am sorry for the tear jerker. I didn't think this chapter was going to turn out like this till I started writing it.
