Ouroboros

**Please please please read rate and review :)**

The Godfry house was large, though not as large as her mother and fathers estate, her mother always seemed to one up her aunt Olivia she chuckled somewhat amused. She sauntered up to the door, the reassuring click of her high heels was the only thing to be heard as she rang the doorbell. She didn't have to wait long, a tall man flung open the door, obviously upset about something, perhaps her aunt, and glared at her a moment before his gaze softened and he quickly took in her form.

"Yes, who are you?" He said trying to calm his voice, what a temperamental little thing, but that is what happens when you reproduce with humans.

"You must be Roman, My name is Vesna I haven't seen you since you were born, what a cute little devil you've become, is your mother here? Id very much like to speak with her." He looked somewhat confused, but mentioned for her to come in. He lead her to a sitting area and then promptly left, most likely to find his mother, her aunt, and moments later she heard faint yelling but couldn't make out the words but she recognized Olivia's voice. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a large figure, even taller then Roman. She turned towards the shadow.

"Hello, you can come out and sit with me if you wish." She smiled reassuringly, and smiled wider when the large shadow came into view, of course it was her other cousin, Shelly.

"Ah I should have known, you don't know me but I am your cousin from your mothers side."

"Mother doesn't talk much about her family, if its not intrusive, may I ask why you don't have an accent like mother?" An electronic voice sounded.

"I was born in England like your mother but since I was young I have been going to private schools all over the world, I never got a chance to pick up any particular accent." Shelly smiled as she walked heavily over to sit.

"I would like to hear about that sometime." she typed with a grin.

"And so you will Shelly." She winked at her before turning slightly at the sound of foot falls.

"And what are you two talking about?" she turned to see her aunt and roman walking towards her, roman looking sheepish and her aunt slightly upset.

"I was just reacquainting myself with my dear cousin, I was hoping however to talk to you privately." She stood then, and she could feel Roman's gaze roaming over her ample assets and she hid a smile.

"Very well Vesna, come with me to my study." She twitched off  leaving Shelly and Roman alone in the room.

"What lovely children you have Olivia, from the short conversation I had with Shelly I can tell she is very smart, oh and Roman, he's gotten very... Tall."

"I hope you arnt here just to discuss the welfare of my children." She paused and turned before opening the door, her dark eyes boring into Vesna's darker ones. And whispered as not to draw attention.

"Is there a reason you came here, surely not for my sisters sake, I haven't seen her since the twenties... Something for you then?" She finished looking the younger shorter woman up and down, accessing her with critical and envious eyes.

"Yes.. Father is angry with me because I keep leaving messes for him to clean up, so like a good daughter I decided a vacation was in order. Naturally im not going to go off on my own, id be new any place I went that wasn't in my fathers domain, and as you know people would talk, but that's where you come in aunt Olivia, you practically own this town, id be safe here if you make it known I am your niece." Vesna smiled widely much to Olivia's chagrin.

"And why would I do that?" She sneered and she shut the door behind them.

"Because Olivia, you and I both know this is just a formality. I am stronger then you on your best day, I could destroy you and everything you've ever worked for, and do you think for one moment anyone would miss you? No. No one would even bat an eye." She cleared her throat and turned her gaze away from her aunt.

"But im not here to threaten you, or even upset you, as hard as that may be to believe. I wanted to come here on peaceful terms." She huffed a little plastering an apologetic smile on her heart shaped face.

"Im sorry. I haven't fed since I left New Orleans.... I get a little snippy, but as I was saying id like it very much for you to take me under your wing so to speak." Vesna smiled brightly though her aunt was still glaring, not enjoying being threatened.

"Oh and I brought you a small gift to help smooth things over." She reached into her coat pocket and withdrew a small velveteen pouch and gracefully handed it to Olivia, and watched amused as her aunt opened it. Her eyes got bigger then she looked Vesna in her shadow black eyes.

"How did you know?" Olivia's eyes narrowed ever so slightly.

"Please Olivia you act as if your the only one with that vice, I thought it would make a lovely gift, do you like it?" She knew her aunt enjoyed the potent little liquid the gypsies made and she made sure to buy all of what they had to ease her way into her aunts good graces.

"This is.. Generous. So all your asking for in return is for me to let you stay here and for me to play nice?"

"Why just play though Olivia, I know you have issue with my mother but I am not her I assure you."

"No your not her. Your worse. But comradery doesn't seem like a bad idea, you have your uses im sure. You may stay here but there are stipulations."

"Of course, I expected some rules, go on."

"You are not to kill anyone in this town unless I give you permission, you may talk to Shelly but you may not fill her head with nonsense, and I don't want you to become "buddy buddy" with Roman, he doesn't need you as an influence, he's so close..." She didn't elaborate further. But she knew what her aunt was referring to. She could feel a change in Roman, a growing power, he must be so confused she thought sadly. She knew Olivia hadn't told him what he was yet, and she knew that's why she was so resistant to letting her stay with her.

"Im not going to tell him if that's what your worried about, so I see no reason why I can't be on friendly terms with my cousin."

"Because Vesna, he is easily led, and your adapt at manipulation, just like my dear sister."

"And why prey tell would I want to manipulate him?"

"Don't sit there and tell me you don't feel his power." She spat harshly.

"Calm down, the boy is yours, I have no interest in his power, I have plenty on my own as you well know, I only wish to reconnect with family and enjoy my vacation and perhaps attend school. I haven't been to high school in nearly twenty years, I dare say I look forward to it."

"How old are you now Vesna?" she asked as if she really wanted to know.

"Forty two, but I don't look a day over seventeen do I, gotta love being a demon." she finished with an easy grin.

"Yes, it does have its perks doesn't it." a small smile graced her lips.

Vesna stood up and started walking to the door.

"Now that we've had our talk and I know that im going to be staying here im going to go bring my things in. Which room my I use?" Her aunt sighed.

"I shall have Roman show you. But like I said don't get too close to him." She made a motion with her hands, waving her out, no doubt to use the gift she had given her moments earlier.
