Hunter Hiatus
Author’s Note: This story is set years after ‘Chance Encounters’. You don’t have to have read it to understand this one, but I suggest it all the same. The plotline follows the basic premise of the show, but we’re not following the seasons to a T. Basically set before the end of season 2, but pretty much off on a tangent of our own creation. This is the first in a series of stories that we’ve been working on… and believe me, there is more to come… it’s just taking us some time to get to it. This story was my brainchild with Onyx... so beware the combination of our minds! Please leave feedback, as it’s what lets us know if we’re entertaining to people other than ourselves!
Jade sat at the back of the small bar in a booth with low lighting. It was a quiet little joint out in Agoura Hills a few miles off the 101. It was one of those places that very few people knew about… and most of them were in the same field of work. She had a headache that made her want to blow out every light bulb in the place, and her eyes felt like they’d explode. She took another drink from her beer and picked up her cell phone again. Her sister was supposed to be here an hour ago. She didn’t like not knowing where she was… and the fact that she wasn’t answering her phone was pissing her off. Flipping open her phone she brought up her contact list and scrolled through the numbers she had stored in the phone. She still hadn’t figured out why she didn’t store the number in speed dial. She pressed the send button and listened as it rang. She looked at her watch. Almost eleven.
“Pick up your phone” she muttered under her breath.
“Hello?” came the tired and hollow sound of the voice on the other end.
“Finally! Jeez… I’ve called you twice now. Where the hell are you?”
“Jade calm down… I’m just getting off the freeway, I’ll be right there.”
“Fine Onyx, just hurry your ass up” she flipped the phone closed and set it on the table.
She hated being in a bar alone, she always wound up finding herself in more trouble than she could get out of. Oh the joys of being the older sister… you get to have fun, but if you get in trouble it’s your baby sister who has to drag you out of it… and then gets to pick on you for the next several years. They had decided about a month back to take a hiatus from hunting for a while after the last one nearly put them out of business. When you track nightmares, sometimes they learn to track you back. When they wound up waking up in a hospital… they both came to the conclusion that they needed to take some time off from ‘work’. That was about the time they found themselves back home in southern California… and heard that someone had started to pick up the slack they left behind.
Onyx had taken the last two weeks to go visit friends and Jade had started growing restless. She decided that these rumors of someone picking up the slack they left was bugging her. Now the circles we moved in were small, but there were plenty of hunters that worked in those circles. We’d heard about the Winchester boys a few months back and Jade had been doing research on them lately. They were good hunters who’d seen their share of trouble and tragedy, much like we had. These boys intrigued her. She’d heard through good sources that the boys had been on their way to Los Angeles for a little while, but she hadn’t gotten any solid intel for a the last week.
That was when she heard the crack of billiard balls and the clink of beer bottles. Jade looked up at the closest table ready to murder whoever was breaking the silence that had settled on the bar and knew that the fates were just fucking with her at this point. “Of all the gin joints in all the world…” is what she muttered under her breath as she stood up and headed towards the table they were playing at. The pain from the migraine had finally gone down and she felt like throwing the fates a curveball. After all… she was a single girl in a bar, why shouldn’t she go over there? She wasn’t a girl that went unnoticed in a bar. At six foot with waist length red hair and legs for days she tended to get a little more attention than she wanted. She was a polar opposite to her sister. That’s what had intrigued her about the Winchester boys… they were a bit similar to us girls.
“Is this a no girl’s allowed game? Or do you mind if I join you?” Jade said as she approached the table and set her hands on the far end from the boys and leaned over just enough to catch Sam’s attention. He wasn’t the one she was hoping to captivate, it was his brother’s attention that she’d been wanting. Dean was lining up his shot but missed when he actually looked up at the woman at the end of the table. She was tall… and she was wearing heeled boots too, making her just about Sam’s height. The thing that caught Dean’s attention was the fact that she was a very curvy girl, wearing a low cut top that showcased those curves well.
“Well… hello there.” Dean said as he stood up and gave the girl a once over. Sam had just been looking at her, not sure if he still had capability to speak. Jade stood up then and looked Dean in the eye… or would if she hadn’t been two inches taller than him in her boots, even from at the other end of the table.
“Jade. The name is Jade. And I’m quite a pool shark… if you don’t mind me joining?” She asked as she looked at Sam with a smile. She knew Dean wouldn’t mind… but she didn’t want to impose upon Sam. Sam just nodded and with a smirk on his face walked around to hand the pool queue over to the woman and found himself a spot at the bar. Jade just smirked at Dean as she rounded the table to offer her hand up to him in introduction. She stood there a moment holding her hand out to Dean while he just stared at her.
“This is normally the moment where you shake my hand and tell me your name” She said as she lowered her head a bit to look him in the eyes. Finally Dean came to some of his senses and extended his hand to her.
“Dean. You’re very ah- tall” He said as he swallowed hard. It wasn’t like him to be at a loss for words, but something about this girl threw him for a loop. Normally he was Mr. Suave, the guy who knew just what to say to get to a girl… but this one he had no clue how to handle.
“You can let go of my hand now Dean”
“Jeez, do you have to hit on men at every bar you go to?” Onyx’s voice came from just behind the tall redhead as she walked past them towards the bar finding an empty barstool just two down from Sam. Onyx had wanted to just go home, but Jade had insisted that she meet her here for a while. Onyx didn’t know why, but she agreed.
“Who-who was that?” Dean asked as he released the girl’s hand and watched her move around the table to check the layout of the billiard balls.
“That was my sister” She said as she leaned over the table to make her shot.
“That’s your sister?” Dean asked her looking back and forth between the two girls. Onyx had set herself down on the stool two away from Sam, who was oblivious to her arrival as he concentrated too hard on his laptop.
“That’s what I said.” Jade replied to Dean as she set up her next shot on the table.
“But- what- how- huh?” Dean tried to form a complete sentence but seemed to be baffled by the fact that these two complete opposites were related.
“I know, it’s hard to believe… I’m still coping with it myself” she said a little overly loud just so that her sister would hear her. Dean just stood and blinked a few times. He couldn’t figure out how two such different women could be related.
“I heard that!” Onyx said over her shoulder. Turns out the pool table was within earshot of the bar. Sam looked up at Onyx then. He hadn’t even realized that she was sitting there until she’d spoken while right next to him. The puzzled look on Sam’s face said it all. How it was that he didn’t know this woman had been sitting next to him was beyond his own frame of knowledge. Suddenly Sam felt all rational thought leave him and he downed the last of his beer feeling the room temperature rise. He hadn’t realized that he’d been staring at her until Onyx looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
“What?” she asked as most independent woman will say when they catch a man staring at them. Sam’s eyes got a little wider and he tried to find his voice, but wound up just looking like a fish on dry land seeking air… mouth opening and closing. He finally looked away and down at the bar.
“Uh- nothing” Sam muttered as Onyx tried again in vain to flag the bartender over.
“Fuck… can’t a girl get a drink around here!” she finally shouted to try and get the bartender’s attention. She turned a glare to Sam as he just chuckled at her efforts.
“Bet he didn’t have any issues getting a drink…” she muttered under her breath as the bartended looked at her but didn’t come over. Onyx just heaved a sigh and rubbed her forehead. She was tired, she was being stared at by a stranger, and the bartender was ignoring her for lack of ditzy blondeness. She was not happy.
Jade finally walked over to Dean and pushed his chin up to close his mouth. His jaw had been dropped for the last few moments while his brain processed these two girls. He looked at Jade when she touched him.
“You were about to drool.” She said and smirked at him. “Besides, I missed a shot… it’s your turn” She said as she headed towards the bar get herself a drink.
“Where you going?” Dean asked as she walked away.
“Just getting a drink” She smiled and leaned on the bar as the bartender looked over.
“That is so not going to work!” Onyx shouted at her sister from a few stools down the bar. She growled as her sister just smirked at her and the bartender walked over to her. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding” Onyx mumbled as the bartender not only came right over to her, but comped her drink too. The look on Onyx’s face was death. When the bartender walked away that look turned to shocked hatred and had her sister not set a drink in front of her, she would have lost it.
“I noticed he was ignoring you… so I got you a free drink” Jade said as she smiled at her sister. “ I can be nice once in a while you know…” she said and noticed Sam looking a little uncomfortable sitting near Onyx. “Onnie… he’s cute, you should go talk to him!” Jade said loud enough for even Dean to hear. Sam blushed a little and quickly looked over at the girls. Jade smirked and pushed at her sister to egg her into talking to him, then walked back to the pool table and Dean.
“Onnie is a fourteen year old flat chested girl...” Onyx shouted at her sister as she stood up and then motioned along her bustline with her hands “Hello!” She shouted at her sister, not fully aware that not only had Sam turned to look at her, but so had the people in the bar. When she saw her sister nearly doubled over laughing, it sunk it just what had transpired. Onyx went a little pale and just sat down at the bar with her head hid behind her hands. She didn’t realize that she’d actually sat down right next to Sam who was just laughing at the fact that someone else had done what normally happens to him.
“Don’t feel so bad” Sam said to her “My brother usually makes an ass of me too” He said as he looked over his shoulder at his brother shamelessly hitting on Jade.
“Wait… that’s your brother?” Onyx said as she followed his line of sight.
“Yup.” Sam replied. Onyx just started laughing at that… it would figure that this would happen. Suddenly Onyx began to realize just why Jade had insisted on her being here. She didn’t know how, but she knew that Jade had somehow set her up… she always does.
Dean made another shot and missed leaving Jade to finish the game by clearing the table. Dean actually felt a little assaulted that he just got beat at a man’s game by a girl. Hustling at pool tables and poker games was how they made most of their cash… and the fact that he just got beat by a girl made him doubt his skills… or worse, wonder how she obtained her skills.
“And that’s how that’s done” Jade said as the 8 ball sank into the side pocket.
“Wow…don’t think I’ve ever lost to a girl at this game. I feel oddly insulted” He said as he walked over to stand next to her and look over the table. “You certainly are a pool shark aren’t you?” Dean gave her his usual winning smile. “Yo Sammy, can you believe this?” Dean shouted at his brother. Sam ignored his brother as he was now involved in a conversation with Onyx.
“Yo Sam!” Dean shouted a little louder this time.
“Oh let him be… he’s ignoring you and shouting at him will just piss him off. That’s the way it is with siblings”
“You know this how?” Dean said as he looked back at her
“Um hello… after 24 years of being an older sister, you tend to know when to leave well enough alone.” Jade said as she sat on the edge of the pool table as un-ladylike as it made her sit, and took a sip from her drink. She teetered a bit on her balance point before finally just sitting on the wooden edge with her legs wide for balance. Dean just looked at her funny. It wasn’t a modest way of sitting, but she wasn’t a modest girl either.
“No, How did you know he was my brother?”
“Did I not interrupt you two before our game? A girl can tell these things…” she said lifting her glass.
“Right” he watched her drink again “What is that?” he asked as he pointed to her drink
“Audios motherfucker” She said and smirked at him. Dean just looked confused. “No really, that’s what the drink is called. It got its name for a reason too” She said as she lifted the glass and downed the last half of it. “After a few of these, it’s Audios Motherfucker to your sobriety” Dean just stared. He’d never come across a woman who, not only could kick his ass at pool, but could drink like him. “This makes number three.” She said with a smile as she felt the buzz start to sink in. This was never a good thing for her. When she went out drinking, it was usually Onyx who had to cart her drunk ass home. Thankfully tonight they were both in the same location. It kind of became a rule that when she wanted to go out, Onyx had to be ‘on call’. The first time she’d gone out without letting anyone know where, she’d gone missing for a week and came home bruised and bleeding. She still wouldn’t talk about it, but she carried the mental and physical scars still. It was why she didn’t like being left alone for lengths of time. Neither of them did.
“You’re not a normal girl are you?” Dean asked knowing it might offend her, but hoping his hunch was right that she’d just find it funny. He swallowed hard when she gave him a look of death. Jade was just waiting to see his reaction and finally lost it in a fit of laughter. She had to hold onto the pool table to keep from falling off as she laughed.
“The look on your face…” she said after she caught her breath. “No, I’m not a normal girl… neither of us are actually.” She said in a more flirtatious tone tossing her head to get her long hair out of her face.
“Well… that inspires confidence” Dean said as he took a step closer to the woman breeching that ‘personal space’ bubble. When she didn’t protest he moved to step in front of her and smiled at her placing his hands on her knees just in front of him. He hesitated then. He’d had issues before where girls went all psycho on him if he tried to make a move to quickly. He’d underestimated this one.
“I wont bite you…” She said and smiled her wicked smile leaning forward a bit “Unless you want me to” She whispered in his ear as she placed her hands on his and made enough space between her knees for him to move forward. She was wearing jeans so it wasn’t completely inappropriate… but when she put his hands on her hips and leaned forward to meet his lips with hers, Dean was positive she wasn’t a normal girl… no normal girl is this aggressive.
“Well, well. Look at them” Sam said as he turned on the stool to see why his brother had gone quiet. “Oh man…I can’t take him anywhere…”
Onyx turned around and saw her sister making out with Dean and just sighed and rolled her eyes. “I can’t leave her alone for five minutes” Onyx looked at Sam then. They both just laughed at their predicament.
“We might want to go over and separate them” Onyx said a few minutes later.
“Why? This is the first time I’ve taken time to relax in a while… and I’m enjoying it” Sam said as he smiled at Onyx. There was a moment of silence between them, but it was broken when they heard the bartender hollering at the ‘kids necking on the pool table’. When Sam and Onyx turned to look at them and they were still going at it, Onyx made the decision to put an end to it. She heaved a sigh and made her way over to the pool table. Sam followed suit.
Neither Dean nor Jade even noticed their siblings staring at them. It wasn’t until Onyx cleared her throat that they even got noticed.
“Ahem” Onyx tried to catch their attentions. She glared at Jade who flipped her off without missing a beat.
“Go away” was the response that they got out of Dean when they paused a moment to breathe. It was Jade who finally pushed Dean back and turned to look at her sister. Onyx just stared at her sister with that ‘what in hell do you think you’re doing’ look.
“What?” Jade said as she looked from Onyx to Sam and back again. “Oh like you wouldn’t be making out with him if you had the nerve” It was a cheap blow and she knew it.
“Shut up Jacee” Onyx said as she pulled her sister off the edge of the table. “The bartender’s been hollering for you two to get off the table for a while. I’d suggest you listen to him” Onyx said as she pushed her bigger sister towards the booth nearest them. “Go sit your ass down” she said as she growled at her sister.
“My ass was sitting down thank you” Jade stated sarcastically as she pulled out of her sister’s grip of death.
Onyx felt that surge of anger rise in her that only her sister could bring about. “Fine whatever… be a stubborn bitch, but I’m hungry and I know you haven’t eaten all day long, so go sit your ass down!” Onyx pointed towards a booth.
Sam just punched his brother in the arm after Onyx started yelling at her sister.
“Dude...the hell was that for?” Dean asked his brother without actually looking at him.
“For lack of class man” Sam said as he gave his brother a dirty look. Dean looked at his brother then and rolled his eyes.
“You may not believe it, but she kissed me first.” Dean said as he moved towards the table the two girls had sat down at.
Noticing that the girls actually sat at two separate booths made him smile. Granted the tables weren’t big enough for more than two people anyways, but it still made him smile. Now he had reason to talk to this woman and find out more about her. Plus it forced his shy as shit little brother to talk to her sister. He always felt bad that he got most of the action while Sam sat in the background. It was about time that boy started having some fun.
When Sam finally walked towards the tables he smiled at Onyx before sitting down.
“You mind if I sit down?” he asked his gentlemanly side showing through.
“Not if you don’t mind” Onyx said without looking up from her menu. When she was hungry, she was hungry and nothing was going to stand in the way of her and getting food. A waitress finally came over.
“Yeah I uh want the turkey club sandwhich with season fries and a diet coke” Onyx said and looked up at the waitress. “And the redhead behind me will take cheesesticks with ranch dipping sauce… and a dr. pepper or pepsi.” The waitress looked at her funny. “don’t worry, she’s my sister, she wont mind” The waitress looked at Sam then.
“Another beer please” The waitress wrote their order in her book and moved over to the other table.
“Want anything?” The waitress asked
“Two beers” Dean said and looked at Jade “You want anything?” he said as he smiled that cocky smile of his.
“I’ll take another Audios” she said knowing that he’d ordered the beer for both of them, but she could use the extra drink. She turned to her sister “You order any food?”
“Cheesesticks and ranch. You need to eat something” She said with that angry tone in her voice that told Jade she’d had just about enough.
“And the cheese sticks” Jade said to the waitress. “And hurry with the drinks please!” she shouted after the waitress. She turned her attentions back to Dean then. “So…” she said trying to keep the silence to a minimum.
“Why did she call you Jacee? He asked
“Well… it was the only nick name that stuck when I was little. Jacee is really for my initals, J.C. It was the only name I really responded to when I was little, and it stuck.”
“J.C.?”
“Yeah. Jade Colt” she said with a little smile knowing he’d understand the humor of it.
“Well Jade Colt, I’m Dean Winchester.” He said with a smile that said it all. They started to laugh at the fact that both their last names were also guns. Irony never fails to rear its head these days.
“Sorry if I ah- seemed a little forward earlier” she said as she nervously pulled her hair back and behind her shoulders. “I tend to let my guard down faster when I drink… which is why I had my sister show up here tonight.” Dean looked at her funny with that comment. “She’s a little protective over me… hell we’re protective of each other.” She said as she looked up at him then. “Been that way ever since our parents died 20 years ago. I was five and she was just barely four. They had taken a vacation and left us with our grandparents but their plane crashed on the way back home and we never saw them again.” She gave a nervous chuckle at that point “Guess that’s the real reason I drive everywhere… having your parents die on a plane tends to instill fear of flying.”
“Wow. Yeah that’s um- yeah” Dean said not really sure what else he could say. The look on his face was that of slight wonderment.
He’d never had this much in common with a girl before. He decided not to say anything about it and grabbed a cheese stick off the plate. Jade just smiled and watched him as he brought the food to his lips, then winced as the hot cheese nearly burned him. “Hot” he said as he finished eating. She just chuckled.
“Plus the fact that there was this one time when I was about 20 that I went out without telling her where I was going… and let’s just say the story doesn’t end so well and I’m still short a week’s memory of my life. So she really doesn’t like not knowing where I am.” She had been talking in a low tone with the hope that Onyx didn’t hear her spilling their life before a stranger. “Wow… I can’t believe I actually just told you all that. That’s not like me. Guess I’ve had more to drink than I thought” She said feeling some of the tension drain from her body as she drank from the audios the waitress set on the table.
“No, it’s okay. Kinda makes me feel a little less awkward.” Dean said as he drank from his beer.
“What do you mean?”
“Well oddly enough me and Sammy have a slightly tragic past as well.” He noticed the interest on her face, but decided that he wasn’t ready to disclose that information just yet. The last time he told a girl about his life and what he does… things didn’t go over so good. “I don’t want to bore you with the details though.” He cleared his throat then trying to keep himself in check. This girl was actually starting to get to him… well her and the alcohol. “So what happened earlier…” he said looking at her with curiosity “Is that something you do often? Not that I’m complaining mind you… in fact if looser over there hadn’t interrupted…” he let the sentence trail off as the corner of his mouth went up in a cocky smile.
“Well actually, it doesn’t happen that way very often. Normally it isn’t until I’m way past drunk that I let myself get that carried away… but then again it isn’t everyday you find a hot guy who’s not frightened by strong women.”
She said as she took another drink. She was about to say something else when someone finally put the jukebox to use and “I love rock and roll” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts suddenly filled the room with music. With a big smile she got up and held a hand out to Dean. “Come dance” she said as she pulled him out onto the dance floor.
“I don’t really dance” he said over the music as they reached the dance floor.
“Neither do I” she whispered in his ear as she started to move in a way that made Dean just want to move with her...in a different way though. It was as close to having sex as they could with clothes on. She pressed her back to his front and with her fingers intertwined in his she brought his hands to rest on her hips as they bumped and grinded on the dance floor. She could feel the heat of his body as she pressed against him and leaned her head back on his shoulder. She ran her hands over his as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed his face into the crook of her neck breathing her in. Jade learned early on in life that being a Hunter didn’t come without its advantages. When you have no fear of the strange and abnormal, it makes you a little more confident to do anything… at least that’s the way it worked for her.
Sam and Onyx sat in a rather comfortable silence as they waited for her food to arrive. Neither was much of a talker and neither was really open to speaking about their lives… given that each had their secrets.
“Soo… what exactly is the reason you’re here?” Sam finally asked her breaking the silence.
“Well you see… my sister tends to find trouble no matter where she goes, and it’s usually me that has to get her out of it. It’s just become easier to be in the same place as her, so I don’t have to bail her out each time. Basically I’m just here to keep her ass alive.”
“Huh. Guess we’re both basically in the same boat. I hate places like this, but Dean insists on ‘going out and having fun’ once in a while… and I pretty much am here for the same reason… to keep his ass alive” Sam smiled at this strange woman who sat across from him and felt strangely comfortable talking to her.
There was something about the energy flowing off her that put him at ease. Once the waitress dropped off her food and Sam’s drink she let herself relax a little. The Colt girls were never nice, or happy, when hungry. It’s the reason they always kept food in their cars. Onyx picked up half of the sandwich and pushed her plate towards the center of the table.
“Want some fries?” she said as she looked at Sam over her sandwich “Trust me I’m not gonna eat them all…” she said just before biting into the sandwich
“Sure. Thanks.” Sam said as he grabbed a few fries. That’s when they heard the music start and Sam looked up to see Dean get lead out to the dance floor. Sam laughed so suddenly that he nearly spat beer. It was not a sight he was used to seeing.
“What?” Onyx replied with a mouthful of sandwich. She saw Sam nod his head towards the table behind her. The second the song registered in her head she knew why he was staring. “Let me guess… dancing?” She said without looking.
“If you call that dancing” Sam said and pointed towards the dance floor. At that she turned her attention towards the dance floor and just started shaking her head. Jade and Dean looked like a scene out of ‘Dirty Dancing’. When she turned her attention back to Sam, who was still staring at the two, she just sighed and drank from her soda.
“You’re staring” she told Sam after a few minutes.
“What?” he said looking back at her “Oh… sorry” he said as a small blush came to his face.
“Don’t worry. People always stare when she drinks” she said as she began to concentrate on her drink.
“I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable” Sam said trying to catch her attention again.
“I’m used to seeing Dean act like that, but to see a girl who… well…” Sam didn’t have a way of finishing the sentence without offending someone.
“Yeah I know… makes me miss the old days when I used to join the fun” she said still staring into her soda. Sam tilted his head at that comment.
“The old days?” he said with a sarcastic questioning. “You’re only what, like 25? How can there be ‘old days’?”
“I’m 24 thank you, and yes, there were ‘old days’” She looked up at Sam then with a serious look on her face. “When we were younger, I used to be the wild child more than she was. Not to long ago it would have been both of us out there dancing like that”
“What happened?”
“Well… one night Jade and I wound up fighting like sisters will do… over a guy. Well in the end she wound up taking the car and wouldn’t tell me where she was going. I let it slide for two days, but by the end of the week I was starting to get worried. Then one night I found her out on the front porch. She was a mess… bruised and bleeding like she’d been beaten to hell and back. I tried to track down the bastard, but he had already skipped town. She was in pretty bad shape, but refused to go to the hospital. She couldn’t remember anything and I never pressed the issue. Figured she’d tell me in time. Never got that car back either… damn shame really, I liked that car.” She finished her little story with a slightly humorous note, but it wasn’t humorous enough to keep Sam from looking at her with sorrow in his eyes. “Anyways, after that I stopped partying and started looking out for her. I knew that no matter what I tried she wouldn’t settle down,… her spirit was to wild. Should have figured that out from a young age. She’s the only redhead in the family, and no matter what you do, she never listens. So we made a deal, neither one of us goes anywhere without letting the other know. It’s been sort of a family rule since that week.” She said and smiled at the concern on his face
“Wow… so your parents just let the two of you live like that as kids?”
“Um… no. Parents died in a plane crash when I was four. Grandparents raised us until I was sixteen. Been on our own ever since chasing… um… the demons of youth” She started poking at the food left over on her plate. She had nearly exposed the part of her life they kept so secret.
“Wow. Suddenly my story doesn’t seem that bad” Sam said as he finished off his beer.
He checked his watch then and noticed that he’d been here for over two hours. Almost a record for him. Sam was the logical one, he didn’t spend all night in bars talking to girls. Something about this girl made him want to throw logic out the window and have a little fun himself. He noticed that the jukebox had gone quiet, meaning that they’d been talking almost half an hour straight. He looked out onto the dance floor and his brow furrowed as he noticed their siblings were missing. Onyx frowned at his expression and looked over her shoulder in the direction of Sam’s gaze.
“Where’d they go?” Sam asked as he went to stand up
“Three guesses” Onyx said as they left the table and looked around
“Three guesses?”
“Knowing my sister… the bathroom, the bar, the bedroom” she said as she made her way towards the bathroom. “You check the bar”
When the song ended they were already breathing hard and feeling the alcohol. When ‘the house is a rocking’ by Stevie Ray Vaughn started they just smiled and kept dancing and their hands kept roving. Occasionally they’d separate just to groove to the beat. About halfway through the song Jade had turned around and found Dean’s mouth with hers again. They had stopped dancing but considering no one else was on the dance floor they didn’t really seem to care. They had been putting on quite the show, but neither one of them had their minds on anything but each other. They didn’t realize they had actually moved off the dance floor until Dean felt his back hit a wall and he gave out a soft grunt causing Jade to laugh and just lean into him pinning him between her and the wall. This bar was smaller than either one thought. Thankfully at this hour, it wasn’t very populated either. Their hands started roaming over each other and finally Jade had to pull herself away from the situation. Dean just looked at her with a fiery expression in his eyes that told her he wanted to take things further than this bar would let them. He gave her sideways look as she pulled back from him. When she smirked at him, he just gave her that winning smile that made her wish they had left the bar a while ago.
“Dean…” she whispered before he leaned in and kissed her again which she returned until pushing him back again.
“What?”
“I’ll be right back” she said as she pried his hands from her butt.
“Where you going?”
“Had a lot to drink… need to pee” She said as she walked away from him. She could feel his eyes on her as she walked off and it just made her put a little more sway in her step. Surprisingly given how much she’d actually drank, she wasn’t drunk… just a good solid buzz.
Dean walked back over to the tables they had all been sitting at and frowned when he didn’t see Sam there. He looked around and saw him standing at the bar apparently looking for him.
“Sam” he called as he walked towards his brother
“Where the hell did you go?” Sam asked his brother
“Dude… that girl is hot”
“You say that about all your one nighters” Sam stated in a monotone voice
“Nah man I’m talking about the one you’ve been with” He smacked his brother on the shoulder. “Made a move yet?”
“Christ Dean… you never give up do you?” Sam said as he turned away from his brother with frustration showing on his face.
“I don’t know about you man, but I plan on getting laid tonight. That girl is amazing… never met a girl more aggressive than me.”
“Well good luck on that one” Sam said as he saw her walk out of the bathroom followed by her sister. “I on the other hand will be heading back to the motel. I’m not big on the casual sex.”
“Your loss Sammy” He said as he handed the keys for the impala to his little brother. “I suggest you try to get laid” he gave him that famous shit eating grin of his.
With a frustrated grunt Onyx shoved the door to the ladies room open. “Jade you in here?” she shouted as she walked into the bathroom. She was just about to walk out when she heard the toilet flush in the last stall. She glared at her sister with a look to kill. “You could have answered me” She said as she crossed her arms across her chest.
“I could have, yes.” Jade said as she checked her image in the mirror. “So?” she looked at her sister.
“So what?”
“He’s cute…and you two seemed chummy” she smiled at her sister than. “Bout time you get laid too… been a while now hasn’t it?”
“I- well- oh shut up” she just glared at her sister. “Unlike you, I don’t like whoring myself out.”
“Never underestimate the power of casual sex Onnie. You should learn to enjoy it… might help you relax a little.” she smirked at her sister as she walked past and smacked her ass. “You’re a hot girl… use it!”
“Jacee, come on, we gotta get going. You said you wanted to leave in the early am to beat traffic.”
“I know I did… but plans change, and we don’t actually have to be there until friday. By the way, you’re on your own tonight.”
“What? You’re not taking him home with you are you?”
“You bet your hot ass I am!”
“Jade!” Onyx shouted as her sister walked away from her. She had to take two steps to every one of her sisters. She hated that she was half a foot shorter than her. By the time she reached her sister they were back standing with the boys.
“You ready to take off?” Jade smiled at Dean. She pulled her leather jacket on and headed towards the door.
“Whore!” Onyx shouted
“Bitch!” Jade replied.
“Sammy. Good luck man.” He smiled at his brother and looked at Onyx. “Nice to meet you. I’ll call you in the morning Sammy… and think about what I said!” He shouted as he followed Jade outside.
“Dean!” Sam shouted after his brother. “Fuck”
“Yeah… I think that’s what they plan to do” Onyx said and gave a laugh. She watched the pair leave the bar and suddenly it dawned on her. She’d taken her sister’s keys out of her jacket halfway through the night to keep her from driving drunk. As she pulled her sister’s keys out of her pocket she had to laugh. “I’d like to see her get home without these…” Onyx said as she smiled up at Sam. “Come on… this is going to be fun to watch” She took one more drink from her beer and set the empty bottle on the bar and headed towards the door.
