watching the last showing of Grindhouse, Lois, Clark, Chloe and Jimmy
left the Wireless City Movie Theater and walked in the direction of Centennial
Park. Clark
had his arms around Lois’s waist as Jimmy was holding hands with Chloe.“Lois,
I still don’t know how you convinced me to watch this kind of movie,”
complained Clark causing Lois to roll her eyes. “There was so much violence
and gore. I don’t know how you can like it.” “Ah,
come on Smallville. It’s Tarantino and Rodrigues doing classic B movies.
It’s a must see. Even if you only get to see it once!” explained Lois
as she spied Chloe and Jimmy sharing an amused glance. They had noticed her
and Clark’s hands stroking each other.“Well,
you got that right. Because I will never watch that movie again.” “I
promise, next time, you pick the movie.” Lois said trying to appease her
boyfriend. “And I promise not to sleep this time.” “Deal.”
said Clark as he sealed their agreement with a kiss. “So,
what are you guys planning for tonight?” interrupted Chloe, who was curious
about Lois and Clark’s private celebration for Lois’s birthday. “I
wish I knew, cousin, but Clark has been mysterious all week. It’s driving
me crazy!” complained Lois, making Clark chuckle. “Well,
now you can come and see for yourself,” said Clark with a smile while he
dragged Lois to her car. “I’ll see you later, Chlo. We have a surprise
celebration to attend.” “Good
night, Clark. Bye, Lois,” waved Chloe and Jimmy as Lois and Clark left
the park to go back to Smallville. “And when he said ‘later’…
he probably meant tomorrow. Did you notice the look in their eyes?” “And
what about the surprise Clark is planning?” asked a confused Jimmy as he
scratched his head.“Jimmy,
hun… that was part of it,” smiled Chloe. “I wouldn’t be
surprised if Lois came home tomorrow with a hickey on her neck.”“I
guess you’re right, Chloe. So, that means the apartment is ours tonight,
right?” asked Jimmy as he winked at her. “So, you know what we can
do?”“WHAT?”
“Watch
The Big Sleep without any interruptions. What do you think?” proposed
Jimmy making Chloe’s mouth open into a big smile. “I’m
in, Jimmy. Let’s go.”Minutes
later, Lois and Clark arrived at the Kent farm. After Lois turned off the engine,
Clark gave her a sweet kiss on the lips. “Happy Birthday again, birthday
girl!” he said smiling. “Now the celebration will really start!”“What
is it, Clark?” asked Lois who was already curious. Clark put a scarf around
her head to cover her eyes. “Oh…Are you thinking of something kinky,
Mr Kent?”“Come
here, I’ll help you to walk, Lois,” said Clark pulling her gently
by the hand as she giggled. “But don’t peek, okay?” “Okay,
Mr Mysterious.” Clark
and Lois walked into his barn with Clark’s hands covering Lois’ eyes
that were already blindfolded. It was Lois’ 21st birthday and he wanted
to surprise her. They had been dating for six months now and they couldn’t
have been happier.“Come
on, Smallville. I know you did something mushy for me. I can smell it from here.”
Lois pointed while Clark’s hands still blocked her view. “Tell me
what it is already.”“And
spoil the surprise? No away!” said Clark with an annoyed tone. “You
have to wait a few more seconds, Lois. Be patient!”“It’s
not my best quality and you know that, Clark. Come on, tell me what it is!”
Lois begged like she was a five year old. “See
for yourself, Lois.” Clark took his hands away from Lois’ eyes as
he took off the scarf. Lois blinked twice at Clark’s surprise. The loft
was surrounded by flowers. Lois’s favorite’s flowers: lilies, roses,
daffodils, orchids and daisies. “Clark…
How did you?” Lois was speechless for the first time in her life. She looked
around and all she saw were flowers. Flowers and more flowers. There must have
been a million of them. “Well,
I wanted to surprise you. So I made some trips and arranged them for you,”
explained Clark as Lois look at him surprised. “What
kind of trips?” Lois asked curiously. “Did you travel around the world
to pick them for me?”“Well-l.”
Looking a little embarrassed, Clark give a little kick before he put his hands
in his pockets and started to stare at his shoes. “Something like that.”
“Oh,
Clark. That’s the best birthday surprise I could ever have. Actually that’s
the first birthday surprise I’ve ever had, but …. It’s amazing,
Clark. I really don’t know what to say. I don’t know how to thank
you,” said Lois with a smirk before pulling Clark close to her. “Not
with words, at least.” She said before she gave him a very passionate kiss
leaving Clark completely speechless this time.“Wow.”
“That’s
for being the best boyfriend in the world. And for making me sweeping me completely
off my feet.” They sat together on Clark’s couch as Clark opened a
champagne bottle so they could celebrate more appropriately. “So,
what’s that, Smallville?” Lois arched her eyebrow suspiciously. “Flowers,
champagne…. Are you trying to get me drunk to take advantage of me?”Clark
chuckles at her. “You know I never would do that, Lois.”“You
are so easy, Smallville. I’m kidding.” With a smirk, she punched him
in the arm. “So, why all of this for my birthday?”“Because
you deserve it. Because we have been together for six months now. And because
I love you, Lois,” explained Clark with a silly smile making Lois melt
inside. “And I don’t know what I would do without you.”Lois
looked at him with tenderness and put her hand on his mouth. “Shhh. Don’t
talk like that. You will never loose me.”“I
know, but…” “Hush,
Clark. Don’t spoil this moment.” She said with a smile as Clark took
her in his arms and rushed to his room.TBC
