Cello Suite No. 1

She fell through the gate, screaming and twisting, her hands grasping and scratching roughly at her back; her shirt shoved up so she can claw at her lower back where the source of her pain is. Her body twists and arches painfully, but not as painfully as the jolts of electricity slicing through her veins.

Her eyes are wild and filled with excruciating pain, her voice hoarse and pleading as she continues to scream, unaware that she even is.

“Please! Dear, God, please! Make it stop, make it stop, make it STOP!” she's sobbing now, frantically trying to tear into her own skin, to get to the cause of it all. Her lower back is red, raw and beginning to bleed from her forcefulness.

Colonel Sheppard raced down the stairs, jumping the last few in his haste to get to her.

“Shut down the gate!” he yells as he reaches her side, her painful screams continuing, unknowing to his arrival.

“Please, God, please! Make it stop, just make it fucking stop!” her hips twist one way while her back arches another. John tries to grab her hands to keep her from hurting herself further but her continuously bucking and twisting body prevents him from doing so.

“We need a medical team!” but Dr. Weir already made the call for a medical team when she fell through the gate, her voice slightly panicked and shocked at her arrival. By the time John had finished yelling his order, Dr. Beckett was already racing towards him as he futilely continued to tear her hands away from her back.

“Out of the way! I need a sedative, now!” Carson gently but forcefully pushed John away from her writhing body and two orderlies grasped her shoulders and her hips, holding her down, the two of them putting as much of their weight as they dared to hold her down.

“No! No, no, no, please! Don't! I'll do anything, anything, please!” she sobbed, trying to get the two of them off of her, but they held firm. John fell back silently and quietly as he watched Carson pin down one of her flailing arms and pin her wrist to the floor, quickly and efficiently giving her the shot of sedative; the two orderlies moving away cautiously as her movements slowly still before lifting her still body onto the stretcher and rush her off to the Infirmary.

Ronon calmly walked down to where John still sat on the floor in front of the gate. He grabbed his arm and pulled him up, looking into his eyes.

“It's a modified tracking device that's causing her the pain.” his voice was soft but it shook John out of his shock.

What?” Ronon nodded.

“That's why she was clawing at her back like that. During the three months when she was missing, she must have been captured by the Wraith.” John felt a spike of ice lodge itself in his back.

What had happened to his little sister?
