Yvette's mom pulled into the schools parking lot. She looked at her daughter almost crying but wouldn't allow her to see it.

Mom- Hunny are you sure about this i mean... You could stay home, read, do those online classes we haerd about...

Yvette turned to her mother and smiles softly

Yvette- I'll be ok mama... promise. I mean its school. No biggie. Te amo bye.

She quickly gets out of the car and walks up to the school. Yvette's head gets filled with voices around her, she hasn't been around people for so long.

She takes out a sheet of paper trying to find the office. She walks around for 15 minutes trying but can't seem to find anything but dead ends. Finally agreeing she wont find it on her own she taps a boy on the sholder. He was in his locker mumbling to himself but he turns around.

Craig- What Spin- oh...

He looks embarassed

Craig- Sorry i thought... Who are you?
Yvette- I... wheres the office?
Craig- Oh... Well I'll take you there if you want. Im not very good with directions.
Yvette- No... i mean yes... I mean... If its not to much trouble.
Craig- Nope, none at all

They start walking and he introduces himself to her

Craig- Im Craig Manning
Yvette- Yvette Morring
Craig- Nice... Guessing youre new.
Yvette- Yeah... I was home schooled until... Well then my mom and i decided to let me go to normal school.

Craig noticed a gap in her story but didnt push. They walked in scilence til a boy jumped on Craigs back

Spinner- CRAIG! DUDE!!! SINGLE MAN IN THE HOUSE!!!
Craig- Hey Spin.
Spinner- And who is this fine lovely lady.

He takes Yvette's hand and kisses it. Yvette, in turn, blushes madly.

Craig- Yvette this is Gavin...
Spinner- Spinner... Call me Spinner
Yvette- Hi

She smiles. Something about it sends shivers down Craig's spine but Spinner doesnt notice the look of warmth Craig is sending her.

Craig- Oh um... Yvette this is the office... Want me to wait or...
Yvette- No its fine. Thank you.

She walks into the offic and Spinner starts to laugh

Spinner- Thats a real girl right there... Think she'll go for me?
Craig-..... Um.... yeah i guess.... Hey so um... What happened with Paige?
Spinner- WHO CARES!!! NEW GIRL!!!

Craig laughs and they walk to Ms. Kwan's

Craig and Spinner sat down at a empty table in class. Suddenly as soon as Ms. Kwan had said good morning Yvette walked in carrying the usual Degrassi starting calendar, papers, etc. Spinner nudges Craig but Craig had already noticed, now wishing he had sat alone.

Paige, a couple seats in front of them turns to see Spinner smile at Yvette. Paige looks at her full of hate, not even knowing her yet.

Ms. Kwan- Class say hello to Yvette Morring. Yvette anything you want to tell the class?
Yvette- Hi.... Um I was home school till now... and then well i wanted to come here with people my age so... Hi.
Ms. Kwan- Ok well... Anyone want to help Yvette get around the school?

Craig manages to raise his hand before Spinner can.

Ms. Kwan- Ok Craig. Spinner will you move so Yvette can sit with him?

Spinner moves unwillingly

Craig- Hey...
Yvette- Hi.

Craig grabs a paper she just put down.

Craig- You have almost all my classes except.... Well i don't have Debate... I have photography that period but they are right next to each other
Yvette- Good to know... now can you explain why those girls over there keep looking at me funny?

Craig looks up to see Ashley and Paige look at her badly. Craig shakes his head.

Craig- Ignore them...

Paige turned around to Ashley.

Paige- See? Craig must already know her... I can't believe him and Spinner. Spinner breaks up with me and now drools over her and Craig... Well wasn't Craig trying to get back with you?!
Ashley- Yeah... You know youre right...

Craig was reading the page Ms. Kwan was teaching from and turn to his side to look at Yvette. Her curly hair was up in a messy bun. curls fell to her face. She wasnt wearing any makeup except lipgloss.

She started to wrap her arms around herself as if she was cold. Craig quickly pulled off his leather jacket and placed it on her back

Yvette turned to him a bit alarmed.

Yvette- Craig... I couldnt...
Craig- Its no prob... Really...

He noticed Spinner staring at Yvette

Craig- Hey... Spinner seems to like ya...

Yvette turns and notices.

Yvette- Hes cute... but that blond chick seems to not like him looking at me.
Craig- Thats Paige, his ex. The girl next to her is my ex, Ash.
Yvette- What happened?
Craig- ... Alot...

Yvette didnt want to ask but looked at Craig sweetly.

Yvette- Thanks for the jacket
Craig- give it to me whenever... I don't need it.

The smiled at each other and started reading again. Yvette couldn't help but smile.

Ashley- Im going to talk to her...
Paige- Good... Tell her to stay away from Craig.

Ashley nodded and turned around again watch Craig look up every now and then to look at Yvette

It was lunch time and Yvette was sitting outside taking a paper bag out of her backpack.

Yvette- Oh mom...

She was looking in the bag at something then took out a banana and ham sandwhich, something still in the bag. Suddenly a voice spoke behind her.

Spinner- Any good?
Yvette- Oh hi... Spinner right?

Spinner nodded

Spinner- Where's Craig?

Yvette pulled Craig jacket closer to her and motioned toward the school.

Yvette- I didnt bring a drink so he went to get me one.
Spinner- Oh

He sat on the other side of her.

Spinner- So how are you? Enjoying school?
Yvette- Yeah... Everyone seems nice... Well all except those two girls over there who look at me all funny
Spinner- Forget them. Paige is just mad i dumped her and well... I guess since you and Craig seem to be friends Ashley is jealous. But i mean... What does she have to worry about? Craig's going to ask her out soon i think...

Yvette smiled but couldn't help but punch her leg under the table. How could she have thought a nice guy like him was single...

Spinner- Well... How about going out sometime? Movie or something... Sports?
Yvette- Well... sure why not?! Sounds like fun
She ripped off a piece of her lunch bag and scribbled her number on it. Spinner smiled as she handed it to him.

Spinner- Thanks... well i have to go do something but... i'll call you tonight ok?

He got up and walked away. As soon as he had entered the school Craig walked out. He felt the cold air around him but it didnt bother him. Seeing her warm made him feel much better.

Craig- Oy!
Yvette- Oy yourself. Thanks.

He handed her a drink and grabbed her banana.

Craig- haha!
Yvette- HEY!

They were fighting over the banana. Although truly both saw it as a reason to get closer to the other.

Craig finally gave up and gave it back.

Craig- How are you getting home?
Yvette- Walking...
Craig- No way! Even with my jacket its too cold. I'll drive ya
Yvette- Oh i couldnt...
Craig- Yes you can.
Yvette- Well... i guess...

Craig smiled

Craig- Ill be right back. Need some junk now.

As he walked away Yvette realized a girl walking towards her. The girl was tannish with short hair.

Ashley- Hello...
